Quinnley My summer vacation started like any other—in The Cape, on a beach filled with people enjoying the hot sun and salty water. I didn’t realize when I set foot on that beach that I would meet someone who would change my life. Is this the real deal or just a summer fling? Can you even fall in love with someone in a week? My life has been planned out for me since birth… before birth, probably. Graduating top of my class, going to college, and becoming a lawyer like my parents. Those are my goals. It’s what I’ve always wanted. Until it wasn’t. Ash changed the way I looked at life, even after he stomped all over my heart. Connor changed my view on people, even though he clearly has no respect for others. Corbin changed my will to experience, even when he takes things too far. How can I choose between three amazing guys who each hold a piece of my heart? Quinn is a full length, stand-alone novel.
I absolutely loved this book. Quinn is such an amazing woman no matter what people throw at her she still comes out on top. And her men wow they are so different but they make it work. I wish there was more to the story. There are so editing issues but it doesn't take away from the story.
It took me a bit to pinpoint why I did not like this book overall. As a book that will be read by young women and people in general, what disturbed me about the book is also what I appreciated in the beginning. Initially, Quinn, the main female character, came across as independent and strong for her age. She was aware of her shortcomings but knew she had time to grow. She knew the path set before her and had accepted it for the most part. Her being a virgin was not a sin or an issue because that was her choice and nothing was wrong in it. Then, life throws her for a loop and she decides that she has to be more outgoing and different from who she was. Absolutely nothing wrong in that. However. What does come across as wrong is the way it seems as if her state of virginity is something that was a negative aspect of her previous self. There were other bits that were disappointing but that is and was my MAIN issue. I wish more stories today would stop making it seem as if being a virgin was a literal sin or that there is something fundamentally wrong with the female character if she is still a virgin past the age of 15.
Quinnley loved grandma, grandma understood Quinn, and now grandma is gone. But her beach house remains. Quinn's parents are written well, portrayed as wanting the best for their daughter while single-handedly ignoring their teenager. They assume she'll be a lawyer just like them, after all. But Quinn uproots herself for senior year and heads to granny's where she finds herself in the same classes as the kids she has previously spent summer on the beach with. And Ash, has aged well. But he is with the head "it" girl. THat's ok, here comes Connor. What's a girl to do? How is a girl to choose? Well, With Quell T. Fox chances are it is a reverse harem so a girl doesn't have to choose. AND it will be naughty, red cheek ooh-la-la, so don't read in mixed company. Quinn is my favorite Female lead of all of Miss Fox's leading ladies.
The characters and their relationships were wonderful especially between the heroine and her grandmother. The problem I had was the holes in the plot. Little details that either did not add up or were too far out of the realm of a possibility. I felt the love between Quinn and her boys much more than simply physical. The book could use a good editor if nothing else than to create flow. Some paragraphs repeated unnecessarily and slowed down the progression oof the story.
Has potential, but in need of serious editing. The concept was fine and depicted enough teenage angst, but some parts were OTT. Several points or paragraphs were also repetitive. I honestly wanted to throw my kindle at Quinn's reaction to Ash... ugh. I wanted more groveling and I'll leave it at that. For all the details that are given, surprising that we weren't given much into the guys family lives etc. Is this a rich kid thing- barely stay home, constantly out etc. Overall cute-ish book with definite steamy times.
How a book about rich people makes me want to barf! Can books not be about “normal” people? Must they be extremely rich or extremely poor and become happy by females spreading there legs? Yes, I knew this was a reverse harem. This girl was intelligent, wealthy and although not vain she was beautiful. She caught the attention of three boys. Not just any boys but handsome wealthy model worthy guys. The book was at times cruel as teenagers often are. Sometimes very compassionate.
I thought this was an amazing book. The book was definitely a page-turner for me. I loved the characters and the story of why they were the way they were. The depth of the characters helped me relate to them. Overall, I loved the story and would definitely recommend this book.
Nope this book drags at a painfully slow pace. I'm 22% in and nothing interesting has happened I'm not willing to wade through anymore of this for a stand alone.
