Solid 3 stars. I liked the premise, I liked the characters, the story itself was good, but for it felt like it was lacking something just a little bit. I'm not sure what exactly, I can't put my finger on it, but that's why it's not getting a higher rating. I would still consider this an improvement on books 2 through 4, though.
Great series and cannot wait to keep reading so on to the next book for me. Been waiting for Gabe and Briannes story so I’m diving in! Luke and Kat are great by the way so don’t miss this book or any of the others!
Great series! I'm going on my 7 book, I just want to keep continuing. I love Kat she has a beautiful heart for an actress. Her and Luke make an adorable couple
Kat Bailey is sort of being stalked - her ex cheated on her and she's being blamed by some of his rather more obsessive fans. She tries to hire a bodyguard, Luke Indigo, but the second he sees her he gets a raging hard-on and decides that he can't do it, so he passes her on to another company who ultimately fails to protect her. Shaken, Kat decides to escape the limelight and head for a cabin in Tahoe. Luke feels guilty about what almost happened to her and follows her to Tahoe, establishing security around her and acting like her bodyguard. In order to get close enough though, he has to befriend her...and it isn't long before they're in bed together. But how is Kat going to feel when she realizes that Luke has been lying to her?
This was like one of those horror movies where you see the villain coming and you're practically screaming at the character to get out of the house.... Well in this case, we can see Luke's lies building and about to rise up to smack him the face and knee him in the balls. But no matter how much I yelled at my Kindle, he just wouldn't break down and tell her the truth. And so, predictably, on the morning that Luke is about to reveal all, Kat discovers the truth from another source. And more predictability ensues. Don't get me wrong, this is a fairly sexy little romp in the woods. It's fluffy and the characters are pretty likeable and there's a heavy dose of insta-lust. It's an enjoyable read, but also very predictable.

Virna does it again! Kat is a down-to-earth actress who has an evil ex, stalker and needs protection. Luke is a handsome, sexy bodyguard who turns down the job, believing Kat is a spoiled starlet. After being threatened and nearly run off the road, Kat goes into hiding to regroup. The bodyguard that her manager hired leaves her high and dry, facing danger. Unbeknownst to her, Luke takes it upon himself to protect her after searching and finding where she's been hiding. His team sets up surveillance around her cabin and keeps an eye on her. It's love at first sight and things get hot! You have to read this to see where it leads!
-AGAIN in this book, they didn't actually say "I love you." Just "I'm falling in love with you." -Not exactly the HEA I was looking for. -Did she/they get a dog? After loving one so much? -What did her mom think of him? After being clear that she only took one person to see her mom, this would be interesting. -No Rhys or Max. My favs. Very little with other "Bedding" characters. I miss the intertwinedness of the first books. -Also, the weird danger. What happened with the random crazy ppl?

Love Virna! My first in the Bedding series but not my last. Easily read as a standalone. The author gave me a review copy and now I am hooked. Luke is a top rated bodyguard and Kat an A list actress. She's different than the average celebrity and Luke is incredibly attracted to her. Sparks fly in Lake Tahoe when they become neighbors. However secrets are revealed and their relationship changes. If you enjoy hot, steamy sex grab this now! Enjoy a little suspense? Grab it!
emotional story that's for sure. Luke is enamored with actress Kat when seeing her for thr 1st time however hr backs out of being hired. when kats life n is threatened she runs for some solitude and meets sexy cabin neighbor Luke. Luke has found kat and will do anything to keep he safe...but at what costs
Luke turns down guarding Kat then he finds out the guard he suggested instead left his post and something happened to her, he goes in without being hired - what happens from there is explosive.
I've read most of her books, for me this was the weakest. I just didn't care enough about the characters and skimmed to the end. A bit of a miss for me I'm afraid
