Rate this book
Welcome to Promise, a small town in the heart of Texas where the neighbours are friendly and you might just find love.

Lonesome Cowboy

Everyone in Promise thinks Savannah Weston is an old-fashioned kind of woman, quietly content to stay on the family ranch with her brother, Grady. But Savannah has her passions – for the old roses she loves to grow, for the children she hopes to have. And for a man named Laredo Smith. He's a stranger to the small town, a disenchanted drifting cowboy who may just change Savannah's life – in the best possible way.

Texas Two-Step

After her father's death, Ellie Frasier takes over the feed store in Promise, Texas. Still in mourning, she relies on her friends for comfort. She was always close with her childhood buddy Glen Patterson, but they never shared ‘those’ feelings for each other. However, the folks around town know a good match when they see one, and Ellie and Glen suddenly find themselves being pushed together more and more often. And now her long-standing friendship feels like it's turning into something else...

Caroline's Child

Who's the father of Caroline's child? Everyone in Promise wants to know, but no one's ever asked – or ever will. Little Maggie is five now, and Caroline Daniels has kept her silence all these years. It doesn't change how the people in this Texas Hill Country community feel about Caroline. They're protective of her and Maggie; they care. Especially rancher Grady Weston, who's beginning to realise he cares even more than most...

Good story. Not as captivating as I thought it would be. A good love story.

It’s not her best writing, and she gets very repetitive. The series feels flat for me.
