There are good poems in these collections. However, a lot of the poems have the same theme and it was redundant. I also don’t understand why at the EVERY end of the poem, the author’s name was written. It also slightly bothered me when they didn’t edit “then” to THAN. It’s a decent collection and doesn’t write like Gabbie Hanna’s poem so read it if you have KU.

Although, I’m sure this poetry resonates well with the right audience, it didn’t relate to me the way I expected it to. The words fell flat and I only connected to a couple of the poems of the book as a whole.

it was okay, very repetitive in some parts. there were a few poems i think were very very well written. solid 3/5 stars

Definitely worth the read, but keep in mind it is not the same as the lighthearted poetry you may have grown to love. The emotion is raw, and you can feel it all throughout you.
