When the colored pencils start trying to impress each other, they boast of why their color is the most important. Finally, they realize that, by being friends, they can create dazzling artwork together. Each one is needed to create beauty in the world.
This is a well-drawn colored picture book with diverse characters and a good moral that competition between colored pencils can detract from the greater good and that all of them were ultimately necessary.
In this fun and engaging children's book, the colored pencils are each trying to claim they are the best. Each give valid reasons but the customers make the final decision. In the end they learn that they all are needed. As well as teaching children about colors, this story teaches that all have an important place in the world. I loved the story and the colorful illustrations.
There is no such thing as the best colour! I wish that people could translate that into lives as well, everyone matters and everyone is special in their own ways. I really hope that this book can help bridge that in some obscure way as personalities are amazing.
A great example for how a very simple idea can be a powerful message: we are all unique, we are all needed, we should be happy about each other's success, and we complement each other. My daughter (3.5) loves this book.
Color pencils in a store start arguing about which color is the most important, they all have their own ideas but finally decide they are all important and you don’t have to be the most important to be special!
