Fifteen years after the end of the Second Wizarding War, former Hogwarts' students are sending their own children off to school for the first time. As the train leaves, Hermione makes a startling discovery about her husband and the secret life he's been living. Draco witnesses Hermione's world shatter and comes to her rescue, helping her pick up the pieces and find herself again.
I definitely enjoyed this story—I’ve been on a Ron Bashing kick the last week or so—but for Hermione and Draco’s relationship progressing so quickly the story was last too long. I wish they had taken longer to get together so that the events took place over more than a couple of months.
I read two chapters and that was enough for me to know that this wasn't going to be an enjoyable read. Honestly, it just felt like I was thrown in the middle of a story... where was the beginning? where was the introduction to this story? First things first, the math wasn't mathing... the years weren't adding up. If the Battle of Hogwarts happened in 1998 and this story begins in 2013 when the children are going to Hogwarts, that means that they were conceived in 2002. I'm sorry, but you cannot tell me that these characters were having children at 21 after just going through a fucking war. On top of that, you're telling me that Hermione and Draco haven't spoken more than just "hello" to each other in fifteen years and yet once she discovers Ron is a lying piece of shit she feels comfortable enough to trust him and go to his house ??? After not speaking to him in fifteen years ??? What ??? They were just sooooo off-character.
So yeah... I decided it was best if I didn't waste my time with this one. So... first DNF of 2024, how exciting!
DNF on page 28. Very stiff dialogue, completely out of character Hermione and Draco. I couldn’t finish it. Nothing against the author, I appreciate anyone who can write a story purely for the fun of it. This one is just not my cup of tea
Wonderfully written domesticated, low angst fic. Written Draco POV only, which is rare.
In this one we have a single Dad Draco who steps up to help Hermione through an awful situation, in doing so the two fall hard for each other.
She has two wonderful girls whom fall quickly to the fatherly love Draco bestows on them, not to mention Scorpius love for Hermione. Then we have the Slytherin gang plus Harry/Ginny all gathering to support Hermione through her tumultuous relationship with Ron.
The Ron hate in this one is at 1000% and it was hard to see him this cruel, this mean. He was just completely gone for me with what he did to Hermione, I had no sympathy and wanted him to get every bad thing he deserved.
***SPOILER***
We also find that the two are soul mated. That was just the cherry on top for me as it's one of my favourite tropes with these two.
Dramione. Post War. Pining Widower DILF Draco comes to the rescue when Hermione discovers Ron has been having an affair for 12 years and had 4 children with his mistress, Lavender. Slow burn Dramione Romance. Lots of Ron Bashing. CW: Domestic violence, abuse, self-harm, adoption. It's a Soulmates AU. 50 chapters.
So you still love her then. Even after all this time?"
"Always," replied Draco without hesitation.

You are mine, Draco Malfoy. In every life and every incarnation, you are mine and I am yours."

The plot was very good. The writing in the beginning was very stiff but it did get better as the story progressed. Being a fanfic, you have to take into account that this is probably an amateur writer and maybe even a first time writer. I enjoyed seeing the progression in writing skill as the story progressed.
I liked this fic but the pacing didn't quite sit right for me. Normally I devour fanfics but this one just dragged on forever, especially considering how quickly Hermione and Draco got together. Also most of the characters kept pissing me off consistently. The saving grace of this book were Lavender and Charlie!!!!!!! 🥰💕❤️ I was screaming over the scraps we got of them way more than Draco and hermione. I wish so badly they had their own book.
Now I love Dramione but I don’t particularly love when one of or the rest of the Golden Trio as bad people and in this case, Ron was unbelievably horrible.
Some parts were a tad cringey like calling their Slytherin children baby snakes (in a serious way) and some more parts that felt like maybe a 13 year old wrote it?
I did love how his child and her children bonded with both Hermione and Draco. Actually really sweet and well the moist obvious reason, it’s fucking Dramione😝
I was really unsure of this book to start with. I had to keep reminding myself these were the teenagers we remember. When certain plot points came to life a lot of things made more sense. I'm really glad I read this. Really beautiful.
As a Dramione fan I love a good Ron bashing. But this was an ANNIHILATION of Ron. Very slow moving other than that mostly because I was so anxious to get to the takedown, which was worth the wait once it got there.
3.75🌟 My favourite tag "Ron Bashing" Sometimes the pacing is slow and other times it feels really fast, the beginning felt rushed but we get to discover why, the dynamic with their kids was heartwarming.
This was a fun read...but I struggled with the arc of one of our original characters. I understand why it was written that way, but it was a tough pill for me to swallow.
I had a hard time the first time I started this. I think it was after manacled and the first chapter felt so ridiculous considering what I had just recently read.
I gave it a second try and it was definitely worth it. I loved the domesticity of the characters, how slowly they get closer together. Draco is definitely a bit of a “softie” in this, but that’s what makes it so much better.
