The fourth book in the Villains Club series is Nick Rule's story!
The youngest of Stephen Rule’s sons, Nick Rule doesn’t have to worry about the pressures of pleasing his father like his older brothers have all their lives. That’s just one of the perks of being the baby.
He’s grown up after four years in Europe, though, and the family he left isn’t the same anymore. His brothers are at war with one another, and both sides expect him to choose in this family fight.
But he’s got better things to do now that he’s returned. He’s ready to step into the family business with a winning idea that will make his billionaire family even richer.
Everyone’s thrilled to see the youngest Rule back home, but not me.
Nick Rule is the quintessential bad boy with too much money. Charming, sexy, and unbelievably good looking, he expects women to fall at his feet.
But I kneel for no Rule.
I’ve hated him and his family for so long, nothing he can do will ever change that. Nick Rule is the enemy.
This is book 4 of the Villians Club series and I have read then all!!! This is the youngest brother, Nick's story. Nick is the one that's been footloose and fancy free in Europe for several years. He's home now and must follow his father's wish to join the family business. He hooks up with his brother Helix whose the bad apple in the bunch and they are into to some crazy stuff. He meets a mystery woman at his ball for becoming a member of the secret society. Then the cat and mouse game begins until he discovers who she is, Ilona, one of the three seamstress sisters mentioned in the other books. This is one of the best books for me so far. No spoilers but you must read this one. The next book will be Helix's story so I can not wait. Abbi Cook knows how to draw you in and then make you wait for the next one. Well done Abbi. I was selected to be an ARC reader via Book Funnel and this is my honest review. Lots of twists and turns and very hot and steamy.
As much as I thought the last book was different, this one was intense, crazy, and different. I always thought the sisters would have more of a role at some point, but I never expected this. Wow. She watched their father kill her father and she was the only one who knew. Incredible. Her silence towards her sisters regarding that was surprising, but it makes sense. She didn't want them to hurt as she did, and their business depended on the very person she hated. Nick is so much different than the other brothers. Their story was awesome. His personality makes him so likable. The encounter at the ball...perfection. When he heard her speak in Russian the second time... priceless. And what a roller coaster of a story it was from there! Excellent read. And probably my second favorite of this series so far.
These two young adults actions were of a teenager. Ilona holding a grudge for 10 years and him using his age as a way to get what he wanted from his family. Ilana knowing her father was a Don in the mafia, she should have know mostly likely her father would die a violent death. Nick wanted to creat his own part of the family business, which he did. The underground casino was doing very well until the Russian's came and tried to kill him, thanks to Ilons revenge.
After the casino incident the story got weak due to rushing towards the end. How did both sided of the family reacted to the couples relationship? Did Nick decide to go back to Europe?
I loved Nick the youngest Rule brother, he is the sweetest brother he doesn't want to be a part of the family business, he wants to do something on his own grow up.but he meets Ilona she's a feisty fiery he fell in love with her then he meets Herat the ball but he doesn't recognize her the chemistry was off the charts It was hot! I love all if the betrayal, the war between brothers I can't wait to read the rest of their story love it...
Both of the main characters were kinda hard to follow ,they switched emotions so often without warning. How can you hate someone so thoroughly but then just have wild sex with them for no reason.Ilona tries to destroy the Rules but all of a sudden she loves Nick who is deliberately hurtful and insulting.Helix the Horrible and Stephen the Unhinged are consistent,at least. The next book should be interesting.Helix hopefully is explained. So much going on with him.
Awesome!!! So good I couldn't put it down... rollercoaster of suspense!!! I love Nick and Ilona and their amazing journey to love!!! These book are so addictive and so good!!! Hooked from page 1!!!
This is the first book I have read in this series and I will be going back to read the other two. Nick Rule is ruthless in the sense that he's been a playboy and living it up on his own for years. When he goes back home after the tragedy he doesn't realize how much he is wishing he didn't. But he has a job to do and that is to make sure his family doesn't fall apart. He and his brother Helix get into some trouble, but for Nick, it's more than he might be able to take. Trying to keep the peace between all of his brothers seems to be a chore he didn't realize he was going to have to deal with. When they have a ball and he needs someone to fix his suit he goes to the seamstress that does all the cloth for their family. What he doesn't expect is hostility from one of them. Iona knows what the Rule family is and does and she hates them with so much passion she can't think beyond the revenge she has planned. When things don't go her way and Nick Rule is a part of that what could possibly go wrong. So many twists and turns in this story, but one this is for certain sometimes you need the biggest alley to be someone you don't expect.

Abbi Cook has written another superb book in the Villains Club Series which focuses on Nick, the youngest Rule brother who is a known player but finds it is his turn to be inducted into the Villains Club, and Ilona, one of the seamstress sisters who attends the Villains Ball. Nick is enchanted by a mysterious woman at the ball who is actually Ilona. Nick reluctantly becomes part of the Rule family business empire during the many changes that are occurring. Their journey to finding love has drama, suspense, secrets, and steamy passion. I highly recommend Play and the Villains Club series. The next book in the series is Bang.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Play is Nick's story, the youngest Rule heir. There's a lot that comes into play in this book and it's just as intriguing and exciting as the ones that came before including Helix and his chaos. And of course as with the all of the Rule men, it's Nick's turn to be entered into the Order. You'd think Nick being the youngest he would have it a bit easier but, that's the farthest thing from the truth. He has his hands just as full as the rest of them. Especially when it comes to women. Ilona, whether she realizes it or not she really is Nick's perfect match. Now they just have to overcome the past before it consumes them. Play is another great addition to the Villains Club.
Another great installment for the Villains Club! Nick's story is action packed, he's the baby brother but don't let that fool you, he's as ruthless as the others when he needs to be!
He's spent the past 4 years living it large in Europe so isn't familiar with how divided the family have come but he soon get sucked into Helix's web much to his other brothers' dislike!
He meets a mysterious woman at the Rule Ball, but little does he know she's his arch enemy! She's spent ten years hating everything Rule, but something about Nick calls to her and she can't deny the chemistry between them!
Abbi has written this beautifully and I can't wait for Helix's book! 😍
What an amazing read!! I absolutely loved Nick. He is my favorite Rule brother so far. Nick and Ilona were like fire and ice but completely made for each other. Their journey was intense, action packed, passionate and HOT!! I loved this book. Play is another great read in the addictive Villains Club series. Now I can't wait for Helix's story!!!
