Great addition to sports or biography books! This one will grab many athletes as her story is one of grit and steadfast focus. Her smile and poise is palpable and her story deserves to be shared. I had never heard she was raised by her grandparents. Kudos to her family for the work they did to allow her to chase her dreams and develop her skills. She has given much pride to our country on the national stage!

Note: There is a bit about the case in Michigan about the coach who was convicted of abuse.

A simple story with background information on Simone. Definitely a book I would recommend for young kids that are interested in gymnastics.
