The RAMBA Chronicles: The Eternal Experimental Effects Series Unexpected Conspiracy When Blaire was pushed to pursue work after achieving her degree in Immunology, she unlocked a whole new world. The Ishka Virus proved to be hard to crack and the research she conducted alongside Dr Van Wick, Atlas, Kenji and Hector put them all at risk. It's one thing to find a cure, but it's another to discover the DNA of the virus was out of this... realm. This book sees the group of young adults discover a whole new way of life, with a hint of love, drama and the unexpected.
I finished this amazing book a way long back but I wasn’t able to collect myself to write the review for this astonishing book. But today is the day, I’m gonna tell everyone how great this book is. This is the story of Blaire and that Unexpected. She was kind of forced to pursue work after she completed her degree. She went to work along with the famous Dr. Van Wick (omg this man is crazy), Atlas, Kenji and Hector. They all find the cure of a deadly Ishka virus while discovering something completely out of this realm. What is that Unexpected and how are they gonna deal with it? To know that, read this unexpected book. 🥺😍
It was really a good book and I remember reading it peacefully but then I was completely unprepared for the turn the story took and I couldn’t stop myself but to read more and more. The character development was really good and in the starting the story went smoothly but at the end it was completely unexpected yet amazing. This book has everything, it has drama, love, fiction, romance and more importantly it has that UNEXPECTED. I seriously can’t wait to read the next book in the series. So, grab this book asap. And omg just look at this beautiful cover 😍
I really got into the world created by Erin Rickman in this book. What started as an ordinary story of a young girl finding her place in an adult world quickly became an intriguing story about lab experiments and missing friends and a quest to find them. I liked the way Blaire's relationship with Atlas grew. With every page the plot becomes more dynamic and it's difficult to put the book down as you want to find out what happens on the next page. Well presented characters and it's a part of a series so you don't have to part with them too soon. It was an awesome read.
I don't know what I was expecting going into this, I have a habit of accepting or downloading ebooks without reading a synopsis or blurb or anything. Especially fantasy and romance, that's really all I need to know. But I was pleasantly surprised. I liked the mix of current/future with fantasy. The laboratory setting and technical jargon was different than most books I read, and I found it refreshing. The MCs story and experiences really tugged at my heart strings, and I cried for her a couple of times. All in all I definitely enjoyed it, and I'm glad I have KU to read the next book in the series!!
Wow, Erin did an amazing job here! I simply couldn't put it down! The story is extremely well-written and quickly draws the reader in. Blaire, the main character, has a great personality and I love all about the other characters too. This first book already had me laugh, cry and gnawing my nails as I read more to find out what was happening. I don't want to reveal too much because the more you read, the more you will be amazed by what is unfolding, but I certainly highly recommend it to fans of fiction/fantasy/science-fiction and to anyone who's ever dreamed of having supernatural abilities or powers (I know I have!). I'm already reading book two and I just can't wait to see what happens to Blaire and her friends who are now... elsewhere. The entire storey really is well-woven, and I kept being amazed as it is totally unpredictable yet realistic enough that the characters and what they're going through are believable. in fact, more than that, they feel real to me. This book is just like Harry Potter and other books I've read where the characters, their personalities and stories stayed with me forever. I'll surely read the whole series but also check out all of Erin's work! Absolutely amazing!
Firstly, let me say that I really enjoyed this book.
Blaire is a feisty twenty-something heroine determined to live life on her own terms. Forget simpering princess in need of a hero—Blaire kicks butt. The journey that she embarks with her new-found friends is engaging, exciting and unexpected.
I also found the book very amusing, from Blaire’s sarcastic humour to the way A-jax is unintentionally hilarious. When I wasn’t giggling, though, I was eagerly turning the pages to see whether Blaire & Co we’re going to able to escape the danger they found themselves in.
This is E Rickman’s first novel and I sincerely hope that it isn’t the last! Funny, angsty, exciting and thrilling by turns, this book is one that I thoroughly recommend.
When I first started reading this book, I didn't really know what to expect. Then I quickly realized it reminds me a lot of a book I read in high school (Virals by Kathy Reichs) meets X-Men with a twist. It was an enjoyable read and I'll definitely be returning for book 2.
I really enjoyed this book. A great work of fantasy fiction with interesting characters you can't help but root for, and plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing. I cant wait to read more in the series. Highly recommended.
Definitely one of those different ones but in a good way. I like the aspect of fantasy, future and the laboratory. This book is one of those that took me on an emotional ride.
