Ava Moreland has it all planned out. In two months, she will marry her fiancé, Tim. She’ll continue working at Vegas’s famous Cosmopolitan bar while he runs his father’s accounting firm. Soon they’ll start a family and she’ll have the white picket life she’s always dreamed of. Or not. When her fairytale engagement implodes in a devastating display, Ava embarks on a quest to reclaim her identity and feminine prowess – by sleeping her way through Las Vegas. With her best friend, Jarrod, acting as wingman her plan is foolproof. Or not. Nothing goes as planned with hilariously disastrous results. Her sexual misadventures will keep you in stitches as Ava searches for herself in Sin City, finding her happily ever after in the unlikeliest of places.
Ava's life is about to change. After catching her jerk of a fiancé sucking face with his male assistant, she decides to "reclaim her womanly power and take her life back". Instead of looking for Mr. Right, she's looking for Mr. Right Now. It's time to explore one-night stands instead of happily ever afters. Unfortunately, one-night stands aren't as easy she thought they would be. From a date with a creepy Daddy role-play kook to a catfishing sleaze bag pretending to be a no-show while sizing her up from afar, she feels she's the unluckiest person in the world. Besides none of them measure up to her good friend and co-worker, Adam. They've always had a chemistry between them but he's married. Until he wasn't. Now she's afraid of ruining their friendship in case things don't go well.
I just wanted to slap some sense in Ava sometimes, but I do understand her need to find herself. After all, she lost her identity when she was with Tim, and though misguided, perhaps she thought it vital to feel more feminine after being dumped for another man. Her deep loyalty to her friends and family is splendid and I found myself cheering her on while she was putting people in their place. Adam is kind and patient as he waits for Ava to pull her head out, and with Ava's hilarious best friend Jarrod supporting them both, happiness and love prevail.

Thank you to Ms. Carmichael and Goddess Fish Promotions for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.
Nothing ever turns out exactly as we want it, and nothing is perfect. Sometimes when we try to plan and control, well...you know what happens then. Our plans go down the toilet:) That’s what happens to Ava in this book. Too much planning and too many perfect pictures. Sort of like the ridiculous “my wedding” scrapbooks we put together back in home economics. I think Ava thought she could have her high-falutin’ fiancé and everything she’d pictured. Tim, her fiancé, had a completely different picture in his little “wedding book”. If you have read my reviews, you will have seen me write that romance is not necessarily one of my favorite genres. Maybe you’ve seen it enough to want me to STOP saying it. Except, I’m pretty plain-spoken. Nothing has changed concerning my feeling about the romance genre, but I certainly did enjoy this book. It’s as funny as it is romantic. Definitely a comedic romance. It has characters you can laugh with and enjoy and sometimes your heart will be right there with Ava. Anyway, this is a feel-good type read. Something to make you smile. So...enjoy. W S Carmichael also has other books published. All have good reviews. Check it out: https://amzn.to/3aWVIEQ

The Misadventures of a (Wannabe) Slutty Bartender is an entertaining read with fun-loving characters.
Ava Moreland tends bar on the Las Vegas strip and truly loves her job. Her two besties, Jarrod and Adam, work along with her, and her beloved family lives nearby. Ava believes she has found love, and as a result changes her life to suit the needs of her extremely uptight and manipulative fiance. Luckily and just in time, Ava's fiance shows his true colors and they break up. With Jarrod's flamboyant assistance, Ava embarks on a one-night-stand crusade, even though monogamy is her true calling. Subsequently, the always lingering spark between Ava and Adam is able to evolve.
This is a nicely-written book and the characters are engaging and fun. Although I found the pace to be a bit slow, I enjoyed the storyline. Overall, a solid romantic read.

Being a Las Vegas local it was fun to read a book set in my town where I know the places the author mentioned. And bringing up Hash House A Go Go in the beginning had me craving their chicken & waffles through the entire book.
I really enjoyed Ava’s story and who doesn’t need a friend like Jarrod by their side. A fun read that was well worth my time.
Thank you to both the author and publisher for the Kindle copy I won in a Goodreads giveaway.
Kind of sad to see this story end. Ava is an awesome character who finally figures herself out with much humor along the way. The other characters are entertaining, funny and seem so real as they support Ava on her trek. Loved it!
This was a great story. I caught myself laughing out loud at the antics. I loved the relationships between the characters. Jarrod had to be my favorite. He sounds like my best friend.
