Living the dream, a troll-human hybrid works as a gatekeeper for a goblin horde.
At least, that was until a hunting party stumbled across a patrol of elves. When everything goes wrong, a bright spark leads the way to the future, and maybe even love.
Join Frelser and his wives as they battle goblins, trolls and giant wolves.
Story contains violence, consumption of wizards named Henry, consumption of an elf, a harem, sexy elfin wives, a part orc, a full orc, a succubus and a whole lot of adult entertainment. This story isn't for kids and isn't for anyone squeemish.
This book is a work of fiction and even though some people have problems with The editing I would like to remind everyone that this is not masterpiece theater and we should just overlook These editing mistakes and just enjoy the story for what it is.
The 2nd issue is even though there are aspects of rape and domestic violence and sexual assault in this story...I saw in this book I do not believe it took Away from the story.
If you have triggers for this type of plot line then I suggest you not read this book. However it added to the story it did not take away from it. I believe it added the drama that the story needed.
Of course these things are bad in real life but again this is a story and just like in real life. Sometimes these things happen and people do not always cookie cutter bounce back as long as quickly as people feel they should.
Just because the young woman in the Story was almost raped does not mean that hours later or days later she would not want to be intimate with someone she had true feelings for and who she felt saved her life.
I could not with the "...". Like jeeeeesus, don't end every sentence with "...". Multiple paragraphs where every sentence ends with those damn dots. Some sentences were broken up into multiple fragments with the dots, dialogue often ends with dots - I guess the characters are awkwardly trailing off every time they say anything? I liked the premise of the story, but the author really needed to not use ellipses so much. I barely made it 20% of the way through the book, it was that excruciating to read.
The intro can be summed up with Henry messed up… and I ate him. Seriously, the MC has only superficial knowledge about people, is doing the best he can to not be a murder hobo and just wants to be left alone to read. Kinda awesome dude. Instead he is dragged into bad to worse to a little better until finally a grumpy happy. Very glad the next in series is already out.
not what I’m looking for, but good for what it is…
I was hoping for a lot more exploration, adventure with slice of life. What I got was a magical Frankenstein’s monster quickly building a harem. It was a nice harem. The monster was personable. And there WAS a dose of adventure to spice things up a little.
A nice bit of titillation, but this was not the scene I wanted.
There is an insane amount of errors in this book I personally recommend not buying although I love the author buy one of his other novels this is a waste of money.
A strange book. I appreciate it for being novel; it's written from the POV not of a human (as so many such books are), or mostly human, or a human but with some badass horns, but from the point of view of an actual monster. And a pretty non-standard one!
And it's competently executed, and everything about it is fine. It's enjoyable. But...
Eh. For whatever reason, something about it didn't quite gel for me, and what was nearly great ended up being, to my eyes, merely fine.
I'd certainly recommend taking a look at it; I did enjoy it and I don't regret buying or reading it. I certainly liked it enough to encourage me to check out the authors other work. Just didn't quite make it to "great" for me though.
I know this is the first in the series, but I dropped a review on the sequel first.
Welcome to my award winning story, 'The Beast.' The MC is large, rude, crude and wants nothing more than to live comfortably in his cave mansion.
Holed up with his books and his home projects, the last thing he ever expected was to come to the aid of an elfin maiden. When said elfin maiden reveals that her people will be searching for her, things devolve quickly into the genocide of the MC's employer.
After evading capture, the MC along with two elfin beauties find a small town at the edge of the wastes. But even so far from danger, can they ever really be safe?
