I’m not much of a party girl. It would figure that the first time I throw a big blow-out, the fire marshal gets called to shut it down.

I can’t be too mad about the intervention when I see the fire marshal. I’m even less mad when he offers to spend a day fire-proofing my loft.

The best Firefighter Calendar ever!!! Hello Mr. January 2021.......31 days of sexiness

Mr. January is the first book in The Firefighters Calendar series. What a great way to kick off 2021 by reading this deliciously rich and sweet, but with a nice spicy kick, morsel of a story. If the rest of the series are like this, which I am sure they will be, then I am definitely buying this Firefighters Calendar.
This story is about Adam Zaya and Rory. He is a Fire Marshall who ends up crashing a party Rory and her bestie Amelia are throwing. If is quite amazing just how many people you can cram into a one bedroom loft/condo. But with a silent DJ and everyone wearing headphones there is not noise complaint. But it seems someone has called in a complaint about the number of people. So Adam and Rory meet and it is thunderbolts and lighting for both of them. Adam comes up with an interesting way to spend more time with Rory the next day and before you know it things are really heating up. But there is a conversation overheard and a misunderstanding happens which ends up with Adam fleeing. How exactly is Rory going to get Adam back.........anyone want to party???

I really loved this story as a way to kick-off the new year. It is well written, has an interesting story-line and very likeable characters. I can't wait to see if Amelia gets her own firefighter from the calendar. I RECOMMEND Mr. January!!!

Okay, why aren't silent discos more of a thing? Even though I've seen/heard about them before, it's such a unique idea to keep the noise level down and really needs to be a thing at house parties (or, ya know, just don't have house parties at all and your grumpy, homebody neighbors like me will be supremely happy).

Beyond that, Rory and Adam were hot together, and Fire Marshal Adam was especially a hunka-hunka-burning-love. 😉 Yes, pun fully intended here. Don't @ me. 😜

Now, this is more a minor nitpick than anything, but who says, "The whole place can go on fire"?? It's just such an...odd way to word it. 🤨 It's not a typo, necessarily, but it halted my brain and briefly took me out of the story.

Also, maybe because I'm getting older or maybe because every love story I read/watch nowadays seems to use this trope, but I'm getting tired of these rom-com type of misunderstandings that temporarily drive a wedge between the main couple and add unnecessary drama to both the relationship and story. Which is why I was so happy I almost made it through without one such example of this trope, but then there it came, rearing its ugly head. Thankfully, it was at least handled pretty quickly, and I will at least give the author props for attempting to subvert expectations there for a second.

Mr. January is the first story in Kate Tilney’s Firefighter Calendar series and definitely sets the scene for what is sure to be a sensual and addictive series. Adam only agreed to do the Calendar shoot as it raised money and awareness for his favourite charity, but he has since regretted his decision based on women’s reactions. Rory is determined to knuckle down and dedicate the next few months to nothing but study and finish her degree so she can start teaching. But her well-meaning friend has other ideas that lead to an intervention by a sexy Fire Marshall and thoughts of hot, steamy nights beneath his muscular body.

Rory and Adam certainly have an abundance of chemistry, and fighting their undeniable attraction becomes impossible; but misunderstandings, well meaning, but interfering friends and feeling undervalued may ruin this budding relationship before it even begins. Will Rory be able to convince Adam that she is genuine and not just out to add a Firefighter to her conquests? Let’s hope that a little communication and some well laid plans can heal the hurt that was never intended.

Mr. January was a wonderful start to a new series and only makes me eager for the next exciting instalment from Ms Tilney!

Rory is having a party in her Condo and its brought the attention of the fire Marshall because she is over the limit of people in her place. Her girlfriend notices he's hot and that he is Mr January on the calender we gave Rory.
Rory notices his hotness. Adam explains there are a lot of fire hazards that he will be more then glad to come back the next day to inspect her house for fire hazards.
Adam comes back and Rory shows him around and things start getting hot and heavy. Something startled them and Adam breaks away and leaves. Adam thinks he's to old for her and tried to stay away but Rory has other plans. Rory does things around the house to make him come back. The last straw is her to throw a party knowing he will show up. She needs him back in her life, NOW! She doesn't care about age. She cares about him and him only. Their chemistry is great! Since coming to her house again, he will reprimand her in private. He's glad she wanted him for him and not for him being in the calender.

Adam is Fire Marshall and Mr. January for a charitable calendar. Rory is having a party at her home and gets a complaint for number of occupants and Adam shows up to inspect. Adam feels the heat when he looks at this woman. He agrees to come over and help her make her condo safe. During the time they are working on this they flirt a little, get a little hot and bothered and the it really gets interesting. They have spice, sizzle, and lusty moments. They have some things that can be a negative - age, occupation, the calendar. This is a sweet, sweet story with likable/lovable characters. It is heartwarming, tender, sexy hot and a quick little read. It’s the beginning of a series which I think you will enjoy. Well done!

Rory is in her last semester of college to become a teacher, she might be young but she makes it a point to be aware and doing what is right. When Rory's out going friend invites a few people over for a party, they numbers get out of hand and the fire marshal is called. Adam is called out to close down a party that is over the limit he did not expect the beauty that was in front of him. Although the is an instant connection, he was not sure if was him she was attracted to or the idea of him being Mr. January.

This is a fun and sassy story of an older man / younger women , hot fireman calendar with a bit of misunderstanding, some tricks so they can talk and just a great story to start the New Year off right. Looking forward to next 11 months.

Rory is having a party at her place when the fire marshall shows up because of all the people there. Adam is drawn to the stunning beauty having the party and ends up staying to help her do a few things. Rory's friend knows Adam is Mr.January from the firemens calendar and jokes with her about it. Just when she thinks that she has gotten through his walls Adam rushes to leave after they were together. Confused by why he left she plans to get him back to her place by throwing another party. Will a misunderstanding keep them apart?

This is agreat story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

The fire marshal, Adam, just happens to be Mr January in a new national firefighter charity calendar. Despite being a decade older, Adam cannot help but be taken by the beautiful curvy goddess who owns the place. He volunteers to return the next day to make sure her home is up to code and sparks fly. This is a quick but highly entertaining, steamy and sweet instalove romance that will provide enough heat to keep you warm on those cold January nights.

I thought this latest story by Kate Tilney was excellent. I couldn't wait to see what happened next for Rory and Adam. Adam is the fire marshal and goes to a condo party that has too many people. He meets Rory who is the owner. He is amaze by her beauty and offers to help her make her condo safer. Rory is a college senior who is going to be student teaching that semester. She is having a party before her semester gets too busy with teaching. She would love to get to know him better. Adam took part on a charity calendar. He has been getting a lot of attention just not the kind that he really wants. Will these two be able to find happiness together?

This is book one of the Firefighters Calendar series. It’s a fast paced, hot and steamy age gap instalove romance. If you love firefighter or instalove stories you'll enjoy this one. I can't wait to read the next one.

Rory is having a party mostly because her friend Angela talks her into it. Adam is the fire marshal that shows up because there are two many people at the party. They both feel the attraction between each other but Adam is hesitant between the age gap and the fact that woman are chasing him because he's a shirtless Mr. January on a national charity calendar. Can they make it as a couple?

Mr. January in the firefighters’ calendar is Fire Marshall Adam Zayn. He is called to investigate a fire code violation when Rory’s party crams too many people inside. He is attracted to her, but thinks she is too young for him. And perhaps she is just caught up by his being one of the attractive men in the calendar? Misunderstandings bring in some problems to overcome, but nothing major that some good communication can’t fix. Will they find out that they are good for each other? Is there a HEA waiting for them once they figure it all out?

This is a cute story and I look forward to the rest of the “calendar” year! The author does a good job with these stories and keeps the story line pulling in the readers!

Kate Tilney has become one of my must read authors and this book only adds to that distinction. Ms. Tilney knows how to grab onto her readers from the 1st page to the last with her great storytelling and world building. Her characters are so delightful that you can't help cheer for their happily ever after. Adam and Rory's story is one of finding your soul mate when you least expect it and having to fight to keep them. This is the 1st book of The Firefighters Calendar series and you will be sorry if you missed it! I received an advanced readers copy of this book from Bookfunnel and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

This was a super quick, sweet, sexy read that you can finish on a lunch break. The reason I only gave it three stars is because it is a kind of story I personally don’t like. I hate it when the girl does stupid things (like rip a thermostat out of the fall, not a fire marshal problem) and repeatedly throws herself at the hero. I much prefer where the guy chases the girl.

However, if you don’t mind her running around after him you will probably at least 4 star this story.

I thought that this was a great rom-com insta-love book. Rory and Adam were great together. I loved the connection and chemistry between them, even though Adam tried to fight his feelings for Rory in the beginning. I really liked Rory and how is was willing to just about anything to get and keep Adam. There is some drama with a misunderstanding and jumping to conclusions, but have no fear!; these two get a great HEA. I can't wait to see what the rest of the series has in store for us! I would recommend this book!

When he sees Rory he can't help but be attracted which is returned. He invites himself over to check that things are up to code but runs when it gets too hot. Rory rigs things so he has to return and they act on their attraction. A misunderstanding sends Adam running again but Rory won't give up. She has a second too many people party and when Adam comes, convinces him she wants him for himself and not scoring points. I liked how Rory turns her lure Adam trick into an anniversary event.

This series is about firefighters from around the United States who pose for a calendar as opposed to the Sunset Canyon Fire and Rescue series. Mr. January is Fire Marshall Adam Zayn and when he goes on an over occupancy call, he meets Rory. Although he's drawn to her, he thinks she is to young for him which Rory doesn't agree with. I liked Adam. He was a good guy. Rory seemed like a sweet girl but she was a little immature trying to get Adam's attention. Rory's friend, Angela, was a bad influence on her. Misunderstandings occur which adds a little conflict to the story but there will be a HEA in the end.

First Adam is Mr. January on the fireman's calendar. Rory thinks he is better in person. He comes to her condo because she is having a party and is over the amount of people that should be there. He leaves and comes back the next day and the sparks fly. Adam thinks he is too old for Rory. Rory has other plans and after him not coming around she makes him come around. This is a great sweet story. I loved it and pre ordered the next in the series. Wonderful happy warm story. Great way to start January.

This was a great amusing read that already has me eager to read the next in the series and so forth. I found the characters to be charming and endearing making the whole story come together. The plot was fantastic and the events were great. I enjoyed this work immensely and look forward to reading the next months.

I give this a five out of five stars. It was a great kick off to a series that I look forward to seeing the next in the series. The characters and plot were fantastic, a great read.

How many Code violations does it take to get a fire marshal to heed the call? I’m not really sure but it seems that Rory has his number. Coming to a complaint of this to many people in an apartment is one. Lit candles around the bookcase is two. We can go on and on about how many ode violations Mr. January has found. The story helps Adam find the woman he’s been searching for. Or maybe not. Is it a misunderstanding or another code violation? No cliff

What could be better than a firefighter calendar? A series of stories about those pinup worthy firefighters.
When Fire Marshal Adam attends a party after a complaint, attraction sizzles between him and the party host Rory. Adam heads back to her condo the following day to advise Rory on fire hazards, things get hotter by the second until combustion occurs.
Rory is in heaven, a gorgeous man who likes her, but will one offhand remark derail their relationship before it’s even begun?
Can Rory convince Adam that age is no barrier?

This novella is about a Fire Marshall named Adam and a student teacher named Rory. Adam is called to Rory’s condo over a party with too many guests. He uses that as an excuse to see her again.

This is a age difference romance as well as Adam not trusting women since the calendar came out. It seems he gets quite a few propositions that have nothing to do with him and everything to do with his abs.

If you like short romances with a lot of steam and simple story line, you will enjoy Mr. January.

Oh holy hotness this book was absolutely fantastic and short read but packed with a punch. I absolutely loved Rory and Adam. Who doesn't love a sexy shirtless fireman on a calendar? Rory isn't into them but when she figures out whom is will she still see him? I'm so excited for the next book in this calendar with hotties.

Great book

I love transport stories. Rory was young and single. Adam was older and a fire marshall. He came to Rory condo cause she was passed ppl allowed. Then he helped her name sure it was fire safe.
Adam wasn't sure if she was interested cause of the calendar or she liked him. Rory had to prove she was in love with him and wanted to see where this would go. They both got their happy ever after

There's a chemistry between them but Adam is very wary, since he's been in the calendar women only want him for that, also Rory is about ten years younger than him.
Can they have a relationship with all the issues?

Mr. January regrets that he agreed to be one of the calendar firemen, as he cannot tell when he meets a woman if she likes him for himself, or he was on her bucket list being one of the calendar guys. This was a cute romance that will make you smile in the end.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this quick story about Adam and Rory. She's a young woman getting ready to start her student teaching and her friend convinces her to throw a party. When the Fire Marshall shows up to break up the party, Rory is struck with the handsome man. Adam is Mr January in the calendar and had been getting hit on because of that. So when he meets Rory he thinks she different. The heat sizzles between them. But a misunderstanding could end it before a HEA.
