Sew Me Wide-Eyed to the Fabric of your Tongue is a cornucopia of thoughts- tender, humorous, angry, kind, regretful, exuberant, loving, intelligent. There is an arc to it that follows the intimate thoughts of a young man finding love, a father, a friend, an old man finding love. There are nuggets of advice, joy in raising children, wonder at the world and anger at the ills of society. The style of poetry varies and some of the poems feel like songs. I sat down to peruse a poem or two and ended up reading them all in one sitting. I can't wait to go back and read them again. I already have my favorites.
