Despite cooking up mouth-watering entrées as a master chef, Kijun is still a vampire that thirsts for human blood. Lucky for him, the young girl who was his “first bite” has stumbled into his restaurant, and into his trap! Finally after 25 years Miro will be his to enjoy once again, but… her blood tastes terrible! What has she been eating?! Time for Chef Hong to put his culinary skills to good use: to lavish her with delicacies and prepare a most succulent meal for himself!
So basically I found out about this manhwa through seeing that it was newly added to MyAnimelist’s database. I gave it a read and it had a pretty simple easy flow without flaws. Now I will admit that it was pretty cliche like it was sometimes hard not to refer back to “Twlight” given the fact it’s about a naive female lead and the “hot shot” male lead in town. Except for the fact, Edward Cullen doesn’t work as a chef and doesn’t cook pig trotters to make his gal fall in love with him at fist sight….
Anyways as much as I again, found it easy to read this manhwa, it’s not going to be the best or the original out there like as I said before the female is rather a pushover and pretty goofy. I find it annoying that they continued repeating the same phrase with "you love me, you don't love me" around in circles. They just didn’t seem to make up their minds. Also the FL’s ex may have been the villain for trying to kill the ML just because his pop brainwashed him that vampires should be extinct and his pop killed himself to get away from his crime. However I felt he just didn’t need to be a villian at all, I would’ve actually thought himself and Director Park (bae atw) would get together. I wouldn’t have minded if it was about two couples rather than one, it actually would’ve made the story more interesting!
Art seemed pretty alright like there’s not really much complaints about it. Like even though I wouldn’t give this a award for being the best manhwa out there but it is pretty wholesome and it does the job of making you addicted to reading more. I definitely would recommend this to any romance fans out there to give this a go!
There’s also 20 chapter specials too where you can read after the 60th chapter finale.

There are a lot of things I like about this manhwa. First, I find the protagonist so relatable. Her character feels genuine. I feel her struggles with her career and relationship. I'm not even earning yet but when she mentioned "Well I guess it's rare these days for people to work for a dream. Everyone works for money. Sometimes money drives a person more than passion." it spoke a lot. It's a real privilege to be working on a dream job because truly it's not just hard work. People also need connections, for example, and a lot more factors come into play. Most people work more than 8 hours a day and even neglect their health just to achieve a higher position, just like Assistant Director/Producer Kang. I find this eye-opening. Second, I am not knowledgeable about tv show production and I like that I learned a lot about it--the process, the roles, the toxicity. Third, I like the art style. I have been reading manhwas for years now and the art keeps on getting better every year. I love it. Fourth, I love how the story revolved around food and I find the idea of having a vampire chef novel. Lastly, I like that the plot has enough humor and drama. Although I would have loved it more if there was a backstory on Chef Hong Kijun and Chef Woomin's characters.
The reason why I couldn't give it any more than 3 stars is that the last 8-10 chapters were a little bit rushed. It ended too abruptly, for me. There were too many things that could have happened. Instead, it took a cliche turn and I find it a tad disappointing.
Look, I love vampires, and I love stories that involve a restaurant or bakery, but I just couldn't get past the (for the lack of a better word), absolute cringefest that was the set-up to the story.
