I am a big fan of the Glock Grannies and their antics. This installment was no disappointment either. The only thing that I didn't 100% enjoy was the setting. Not that I am stuck on Florida. I did like the idea of a road trip very much. But the shows and actors etc are nothing I am much interested in. Still, the characters and the mystery were really good and I am looking forward to the next adventure.

I closed this book with tears of sadness, yet joy. It’s not always easy to say goodbye and the grannies along with Nikki had to. However, my hope is that the ladies will see their gentlemen friends again. Soon.

This was another good story and I feel it was just as good as the previous one. I’m getting to know the characters more all the time and that always makes me feel more at home while reading. It gives me a warm and comfortable feeling.

The grannies take a road trip from their home in sunny Florida to Branson, Missouri so Geraldine can see her first true love and ex-husband, Thomas. Thomas’s mother told him that if he didn’t divorce Geraldine that she’d never give him their shoe business and he’d be cut out of her will, so he divorced her. Apparently she wasn’t prominent enough to be with the likes of Thomas. That was 40 years prior and Geraldine never forgot Thomas.

The grannies and Nikki arrive in Branson and go to a few live shows. They all meet performers and take a liking to them and spend their vacation going out together. However, it is during the beginning of their visit that one of the performers is murdered and of course the grannies and Nikki are on the case to catch the killer. Of course there are plenty of hijinks and shenanigans and a ton of fun!

I’d be perfectly happy if there were 30 more books in this series! I just checked and for cryin’ out loud! This book was the last full length in this series. However, there are 4 novellas to go with it, so I’ll start with book 1 of the short reads. Book 1 is Hot Purr-Suit. Hopefully the Branson gang make appearances.

Glock Grannies 1-6

I just finished binge reading this set--it is so fun I hope the next episode comes out soon!
What is more fun than a serial bride being sent to Florida to get a grip on who she really wants to be?
The 5 grannies she lives with--that's who....Geraldine, Nikki's actual grandmother; Hattie Sue and Irene, cougars with a cause (the girls your mom didn't want you hanging around when you were in school); Virginia and Greta....all sharp shooting, hooting and many other things as well, they live in a retirement community and hunt the criminals that the police haven't found.
The characters are very likable and the plots are ever-thickening!! Total fun!!

I wish that Goodreads would allow half I stars because I am really giving this book a 3.5 star-rating. I really enjoy this series, and this is a solid entry; however, for me, it is just not as strong as the other books. I am originally from the Branson area, but I've lived here in Florida now for fifteen years so this book was interesting in how it incorporates both of those "worlds" (so to speak). I was just missing some of the interactions with more of the Floridian characters, I guess. Although, it was very interesting to see how some of the characters change out of their home environment. I don't want to give anything away.

This was fun and different. The grannies and Nikki go on vacation to Branson Missouri and of course someone dies and they get involved. Aside from that, there was a whole different set of characters. I expected Geraldine to look for her long lost love, but that didn't happen until the last chapter and he had died. So she got her closure and discovered it was all for the best. I did enjoy this story and it was well written. I look forward to future stories about Nikki, Geraldine, Hattie, Virginia, and Greta. Hopefully the next one will include Owen, Lloyd, Kitty Purry and Catalie Portman.

Wonderful Series

I have read all 6 books in the series and honestly couldn't put them down!! They are interesting, laugh out louder funny, and clean. (Well, sort of!). Delightful books and I can't wait for more to come.
The "Glock Grannies" are a hilarious. Treat yourself , you deserve it!

The ladies find everything they are looking for on this road trip adventure: men, food and a murder. Funny as always with these books but the ending left me a bit teary eyed😢. Glad Grandma Dean got closure and maybe a new romance. 😉

This is my first time reading this author's works. I found the series to be a fun read. I'm an old grandma and the characters in the books are well developed and the comic relief is great fun. I hope there will be more of the Glock Grannies in the not to distant future.
