Always wanted to visit different places and parts of the world and experience their rich culture and history? Well, I did with this beautiful book "The Book of Cultures" curated and written by Evi Triantafyllides and illustrated by Nefeli Malekou.

The book talks about 30 stories from across the world and discover their stories and cultures. From Peru, Juan Carlos to Australia, and from Cyprus to India and Japan, the book has some beautiful illustrations and stories.

The book is targeted to kids which will help them in building general knowledge as well as help them in their geography projects 🤭 but nonetheless, who doesn't love a colorful, eye-catching book to read right?

I liked how we have a small quiz after every story, which helps build and memorize the important points. I have only visited Australia and known it's culture till date, but definitely after reading this book I wish to visit other countries soon.

This book by Evi Triantafyllides, illustrated by Nefeli Malekou, is great. It gives kids a fascinating window into 30 cultures with a kid-friendly approach. There is a one-page story about a child, then there is more information which conveys facts about the country and an activity. There is something for everyone’s interest in this book – culture, history, food, words, etc. The activities are really diverse, including games, art projects, recipes, maze, matching, sign language and more!

I appreciate that additional information is shared as the child from the story’s “favorite things,” to deepen learning without implying a country is monolithic. There is so much to learn, think about, do, and discuss - your child will return again and again to this book. I was gifted it in honor of Multicultural Children’s Book Day and I am so glad!

This book does such a wonderful job of highlighting the beauty in the diversity of our world. With stories, games, favorite things from the countries and special words from languages, this book encourages children to be open-minded and curious about various cultures and the power of looking for what makes every person unique. My children and I have loved reading the stories from children around the world; they are relatable to all children but also showcase so many different ordinary days around the world. As a language teacher, my favorite elements are the ideas that have exact words in other languages…but not in English. I will reference those often and share them with my Diversity book club at school!

A great children's book with an introduction to a variety of cultures around the world. Although they are not deep dives, these stories are relatable, interesting, and give a glimpse into life and traditions in other countries. Plus, each story has facts, recipes, and activities to go with the story.

It's a good way to pique a child's interest and start teaching them about other parts of the world. And, you can always dig deeper into things that really grab their attention. Who knows? Your new favorite family meal or activity could come from one of the cultures featured in this book!

My work as a nurse, human development professor, therapist and mother/aunt has given me a good understanding of what appeals to children and what is appropriate for different ages. This book should appeal to a wide range of ages, including adults. The inclusion of interesting facts and fun activities make it a wonderful teaching tool as well as a story book. I am also an avid reader who buys books for gifts. I want to buy a copy of this book for every child I know. Congratulations on a wonderful addition to children's literature. I look forward to seeing more cultures in future books.

The stories, little facts about each child and teaching activities made this book one of the best all round books. I have and have bought dozens of children's books over the years because I love books and want every child to have them. I also taught Human Development for teachers for 15 years, am a psych professional and nurse. This book combines many interesting and educational elements, perfect for children at a wide range of ages. I believe adults will find it interesting as well.

My 4-year-old has loved reading a new story from somewhere else in the world every night, we were sorry to come to the end of it last night, but he is excited to start reading it all over again. It has given him a real sense of how big the world is, and he has been enthusiastic about locating the different countries on the map in the book, and on a large map of the world on his wall.

Knocking a star off this because some of the stories didn't scan very well or seem to be laid out correctly which made reading them a little confusing. The illustrations and fact sections were spot on though, really entertaining and beautiful book.

This book tells us (both children and adults) a lot about parts of the world that would have otherwise remained inaccessible to us, and it does it beautifully through stories, with added details and lovely illustrations.

The stories are wonderful. Beautiful illustrations, excellent quality cover and pages. I'm a teacher and we've been reading a story every day and the children love finding them on the map in the endpapers when we're done.
