An outstanding last book in this series. Suspense, action and amazing characters to keep you intrigued. Once I started reading there was no way I could stop. Loved it.
I’m just going to say something I wrote for a previous Legion story, and it goes for the whole series. I Absolutely LOVE these characters, the fight scenes are amazing, their humour hilarious and the bond of this demon slaying crew is brilliant. Sums it all up!
Amazing, awesome and Fantastic. I am so so going to miss my favourite Motley crew, their antics, their battles, their love stories, their humour the list could go on and on. Drake has been taken to Hell, and Artemus will stop at nothing to rescue him. Let the epic battle begin. I do home the Author continues with the Immortal and Guardians world, that would be another epic story. Excellently written and I just love it. I have received this as an eARC, so it was free. But I have purchased all the books. Brilliant.
Halfway through this one, I actually thought about giving it 2 stars, maybe three with a decent ending. Alas, A.D. Starrling didn't disappoint again, or rather, as steady as in the previous books from the series, she did disappoint very much by the end 🤗 It would not be fair to call this anti-climactic, because it would not do it justice. I did not have ANY expectations for a climactic finish, judging by the previous six books, so it was not anti-climactic, it was precisely what everyone should have expected. Good defeats evil, and very easily so. Like, not a scratch. Not a single even mildly important good character suffers any damage, discomfort or anything remotely bad. The vast forces of Hell are about as dangerous...as a bout of flu. Actually, scrap that, flu can kill old people, the armies of Hell and all the scary Princes of Hell can't even hurt a fly. Boring, drab, eye-rolling experience of a read, only "enhanced" by a writing style still mostly resembling an amateur fan fiction rather than a professional author with dozens of books behind her. The humour is nice sometimes, true, but it feels Marvel-esque, as it is everywhere, used by everyone, in all circumstances, so often it just destroys what little actual atmosphere the author has managed to create. And of course, still aiming for the 15-year old level of "yay, everyone gets a loved one and they have lots of sex after, story be damned".
Seriously, those books make Twilight and 50 Shades of Gray to be on the level of Hemingway and Isabel Aliende, and Cassandra Claire's Mortal Instruments to be closer to Shakespeare and Tolstoy. Even the witches and supersoldiers all survived unscathed? Not a single super-powered demon even managed to scratch a Guardian or anyone? Wow...just wow, this is bad.
It is a shame, because it is clear that A.D. did her research on the demons and angels and mythology, had a nice premise and could have made this a staple of Young Adult literature. But this was incredibly badly executed, and I am sure that the 5 stars left by other users is because they wanted to read something just as corny, devoid of mystery, suspense and character development and "safe" as this one. Well, glad some other people enjoyed it, I guess.

I’ve enjoyed this series and especially the characters. I’ve struggled at times with the writing especially early on. I don’t know if it got better or I just became more involved in the story so I didn’t notice it as much.
Anyway this one is good my problem was my eyes aren’t what they used to be and I can’t see the location on kindle percentage without my glasses (I was reading in bed with large print). So it came as a huge surprise when it seemed to be winding up. I thought I was only about half way in so I was disappointed when it ended. All the reviews seem to be 5* so the fault is mine I just didn’t realise it would end there.
I will miss the Legion series. The books kept getting better each time with new guardians being introduced in each book. I absolutely loved the guardians with their snarky humor and willingness to sacrifice themselves to save others. Legion (Legion #7) was the best, I could not put the the book down due to the constant revelations and new characters being introduced. Artemus and Drake finally got all the answers they were looking for about themselves and I look forward to the next series. I strongly recommend the Legion series to anyone who has not read the books yet.
Fantastic conclusion to this spin off from Seventeen. This series has been a wild ride of Angels, Demons and Immortals, with battles, humour, emotion and a sprinkling of romance. So well written and engaging, a must for fans of paranormal/fantasy fiction. Although this book brings this series to an end it would appear we have more adventures in the world of Seventeen to come and I am looking forward to it.
As much as I hate that this is the end of this series, A.D. did not disappoint! As always, this book is full of action and twists with Artemus and the Guardians facing the upcoming final battle and meeting old foes that become allies. Loved this whole book but the ending was my absolute favorite part. I'm looking forward to the next series and hope it comes out soon 😁
Totally awesome ending of a great story arc. I love these characters, they are witty, resourceful, just a large family that has each others backs! A twist or two in this ending story that I loved. The author has outdone herself. Family wins over all challenges and trials! Definitely worth the read, couldn't put it down!
Legion is the last book in the Legion series by AD Starrling. I loved this series so much and while I'm sad it's over, it was a fantastic journey! I love every one of these characters and their different personalities. They felt like family to me. The action, the humor, the loyalty. As always, the writing is great and it's the perfect ending to a great series!
Well, sadly we’re at the end of the series, but what a thrill ride it’s been. All the characters come together in their final battle. What a hugely satisfying finale! Definitely a worthy read, but I think this final book reinforces that it’s definitely worth reading the Seventeen Series first. Marvellous stuff!
I love this and the seventeen series. The brilliant writing draws me into the characters. I would love to watch this as either a graphic cartoon or TV series. Thank you for giving me the world of Angels, Demons, Mortals, Immortals and one fluffy Red rabbit.
Holy crap! What an ending to a fabulous series! No spoilers from me just be prepared to lol, grit your teeth in suspense and gasp in surprise. I could not put this book down! Everything and everyone you can imagine is in this fast paced excellent book. I can’t say enough about how great it was. Stop what you’re doing right now and READ THIS BOOK! 10 stars ⭐️!!
Artemis, Drake, Smokey and all the Guardians move toward the final battle. They have to find Drake and fight the final battle. I love all of these characters this final book pulls everything together with many twists and turns as it moves to the final battle. Great read!
So finally…the end. This is definitely the best series that I’ve read in a while. The action kept me on the edge of my seat (and awake half the night finishing a book), and the sarcasm and wit had me turning back the pages just to laugh all over again! Starling definitely has a wicked sense of humor. I’ll be checking out her other series!
I have been reading this series since it began and the stories kept getting better and better! It is the story of good versus evil and how it plays out. In this book we have two brothers who are separated and how to get them back together. What is very interesting is how parts of evil help in the reunion of the two brothers and the reactions of the losers. A lot of things are happening to both Drake and Artemus. There will be some twists and lots of surprises. True love will win out and the humor is still there. O love the changes which occur when the final gate is open. I did not anticipate who would show up to help but it made the story very interesting. Pay attention to the Pope because she knows more than she is telling. I hate to spoil a good story but you will have to read to see what happens to Artemus and his search to replace his wing. Very interesting allies in the story but then there has been since the series began. I can see this series continuing as there is the way shown throughout the book. Read and enjoy because I savored this book!
Great stuff. Thrilling and entertaining. A much beloved series filled with relatable characters that you will root for or wish utter destruction upon....either way, you're invested. This is what we want -- investment.
A wonderful wrap up. Even though I had to rack my memory for the who's who at the end, it was awesome to come full circle. The book was almost o st a bit too snarky, but it was nice e to know that Demons are people too.
Absolutely loved the whole series. So sad it has ended! Love the cantankerous characters and the humorous banter. Excellent read. Can't wait to read more from this author.
There are no words sufficient enough to describe this series. I have to say this is one of the best series I have read, and I read a lot. Well written, but it's the characters themselves and the family they create that makes it so good. I'm now a fan of AD Starrling!
As a new Writer to me,AD Starrling opened up a whole new universe with the way she captured her characters..Spellbound by the style and world she evolves right before your eyes..
I haven't been truly invested in a series and its characters for a long time. I will miss all of them and will never look at a bunny the same way ever! Thank you for the great characters and the intriguing storylines.
The final chapter got cheesy as can be. The better parts were definitely those that took place in Hell. I hope the next spin-off series brings back some of those we met down there. There were some humorous tidbits here and there mostly evolving Cerberus. Overall I am glad I purchased the series.
What a great series this turned out to be . Couldn't put it down . The characters are unlikely hero's and the books are full of humour . Definitely recommend this series.
Loved this series! But the ending made me realize I had missed other stories by the author that gives more background and details in this world! Can't wait to read more!
No qualms about the story at all however I did feel manipulated to buy the last book in the series and the rest of the 6 books in the series were KU books.
Have really enjoyed this series. It was well written and fast paced with excellent characters and lots of action. I look forward to reading Seventeen and learning about Lucas Soul.
It's over high actin, heart thumping and it over. Great ending, but wait there is a new series with a new set of hero's to go devour. Highly recommend.
