Twelve Stories, some that will make you laugh others that will touch your heart. A diverse mix of tales, in settings from the 1940’s to 2038. Conspiracies, crimes of passion, and ill-fated accidents. Acts of greed and acts of vengeance. This eclectic mix of murder stories, range from a fifteen minute, to a ninety-minute read. An average estimate by an average person, so please excuse the author if it is not a precise science. Each story is allocated with a Killing Time (K.T.) We all read at differing speeds, some like to scan read, others re-read every line, squeezing out every last morsel from the story. You can select the story to fit in with the Time you have to Kill. They are also graded to suit your mood, from 1 to 3 Daggers.
I live in Searcy, Arkansas, where I teach English Composition and Literature at Harding University. I grew up in Conyers, Georgia, the son of a printer and homemaker. I have two siblings, two nieces, and two nephews. I graduated from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta in 1994 and did graduate work at UNC Chapel Hill. After completing my doctorate in 2003, I moved to Searcy and have taught at Harding ever since. I love teaching courses in writing, world literature, British literature, and Shakespeare. I'm a member of the College Church of Christ and enjoy writing a column for "The Bison," our campus newspaper. The history of magic has been a hobby of mine for almost 30 years. Even though I'm not a performer, I love researching the stories of past magicians. "Don't Fool Yourself: The Magical Life of Dell O'Dell" came out in November 2014. It is my first book.
Wow! A new author bursts on to the scene with aplomb. From the very first short story, the characters and the scenes came alive. Totally believable plots and I became immersed in the stories. Michael Claxton is most definitely an author that will make a mark in the literary world. Cannot wait for February for the release of his new book. Really hope the first two books are the first of many. Well done and best of luck for future contributions.
