Ryder:
Being the strong, silent type most of my life has made my life difficult. Made it hard for my father to love me, made it hard for my mother to find a reason to keep me, and made it hard for me to connect with just about anyone. Until I was sent to the group home and found my brothers. They never cared that I didn’t talk. They never cared that I was different. With them, I thought I was happy. But then Wren came into my life, and I knew from the moment I laid eyes on her she was made for me. What I didn’t expect was for her to fall for me as well, and then for her to throw me away just like the broken man I’ve always known myself to be.

Wren:
I was stuck in a job I hated, in an apartment that was too expensive, and a life that was too boring for me. The only upside was my best friend. Then she had to go to an outdoor retreat and fall in love. I was happy for her, truly, but watching her move on and away from me and my unsatisfying life only made that pull for more that much stronger. I never would have believed I could find my happily ever after at that same retreat. The seemingly broody, silent giant Ryder was a challenge I wanted to face from the moment I saw him. That’s okay, I didn’t mind digging a little to get to the gold heart lying beneath Ryder’s muscular, and let’s face it, drool-worthy chest. What I did mind was him making me fall in love with everything about him and then taking it all back and pushing me away but let’s face it. Men are idiots sometimes.

I REALLY wanted to like this. But the hero messed it up at the end and there wasn’t enough groveling or even a real epilogue to reverse those feelings of anger and disappointment I was left with.

“You’re the most gorgeous woman I have ever seen. I don’t know how to handle that,”

Those words right there threw me head over heels for Ryder. Quiet, vulnerable, yet dirty talking when things get heated and has eyes for one woman. Dual POV, dual virgins, no OM/OW drama, verbal abuse by H's parents when he was little, epilogue is the intro to the next in the series. And what an amazing series this has been so far. I can't wait to read the next. Bravo! Another one for my top faves of the year list.

Gosh I don’t know where this series has been hiding but damn they were good! Loved it except it didn’t have a true epilogue just a glimpse at what the next book is going to be.

First: I thought I was part of the target audience. After reading this, it turns out I may not be.

Second: This needed major editing…

Third: No buildup, does this happen in two days? I’m unsure. It’s a tiny book, 47 pages, so writing a rounded out story would require so many more pages. The story just seemed really forced, even for a plotline that’s just supposed to be for-fun-a-quick-read.

Fourth: Excessive swearing. I have nothing against swearing, but in this case, it didn’t seem to serve the story.

Fifth: I purchased this from an author event - the author is very nice, so this isn’t anything against her.

love this series

There is nothing better than a guy that’s willing to surrender his heart and soul to the woman of his dreams, even after life has dealt him a $h!tty hand. Except, maybe seven of them! Ryder is book two in the Outdoor Alpha series and I am in book boyfriend love. Ryder and his heartbreaking story dug straight into my heart. Wren, for her smart mouth talking exterior, is perfect for Ryder and I adored these two together.

What a great book

Enjoyed reading the love story between Wren and Ryder. Oh my gosh,, the things that Ryder lived through. His mother should be ashamed,, you never dump your child for his father. Wren's family wasn't much better. Loved the descriptions of the people and the resort. Hope as each story is told that more descriptions are made. Written by Cindy :)

Ryder & Wren

Ryder and Wren couldn’t be more perfectly matched! I love getting to revisit Colby and Maya! Love the connections and the family. Both Ryder and Wren broke my heart with their stories of their pasts. Their happily ever afters make me so happy! Short and sweet and very steamy!

I gave the first book the benefit of the doubt, but this second book is more of the same.

Ryder and Wren had a cute connection.

Just an average book. I'm gonna keep going in the series, mostly because all 7 novellas are only about 50 pages.

Lover Ryder!

I love the silent types! Ryder was perfectly vulnerable and just needed a vivacious woman to pull him from his sadness. Absolutely adored this one.
