These are extremely well-written horror stories. I rate three or four of them as 4-star reads, but most are 5-star to me. One I didn't want it to end was The Door, the main character had found the monster's mother and I thought he would fight it...but it ended there, noooooooooo, I want more. Other great stories that stood out are by Butler, Donovan, and Paul. There's nothing too extreme in here, so don't expect gore, but if you enjoy short tales of terror that fills you with dread, then this is your next read. Highly recommended.
This is my first venture into the horror genre. I would be interested to know whether this volume is representative of other such collections. I will post my review in a couple of days.
H is for Hell is an anthology edited by P.J. Blakey-Novis that contains nightmare after nightmare! Buckle up before taking a trip to these hellscapes!
If you’re looking for an anthology to get totally immersed in, but one that is sure to give you nightmares of your own personal hell… then this is a book for you!
I had a blast reading through these stories though I couldn’t imagine being in any of these situations…
This is a wonderful addition to this thrilling series! Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building that adds so much to the story. Such a thrilling read that I couldn't put it down. Can't wait to read more of these. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Who sits and comes up with these ideas? All decent stories. Five stars. Im going to get the set now. Issues Kingdom should of been a novel or film. Same with the watcher. Paradigm 13 drops in the middle One story was predictable Saying that I still enjoyed this alot. Read it in one sitting. I expect nightmares
Some of these were really good, esp the second story but too many were distinctly mediocre without much of anything going for them. I was very disappointed as I'd been hoping for a hell of a good read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I thought this is a great collection of horror stories. They are written by different authors and all were written well and the subject matter was good. Some of the authors are new to me and I was pleasantly surprised. The stories are on the short side and some ended way too soon. All in all this is a great collection or horror stories.
