Her novels are award-winning #1 Amazon and B&N Bestsellers and RomCon Reader-Rated picks. Many of her stories are set on beautiful Cape Cod, where she and her husband raised their children. They now reside in sunny Florida with their rescue pets. We all know about the “noises” old houses make, it’s just settling, right? But what if it was something more? Welcome to Kathryn Knight’s GHOST MOON where one woman may discover there may be more to the saying, “If walls could talk…” than meets the eye.
Lark had nowhere to go when she made the temporary move to Cape Cod and the abandoned home she had inherited. Although the rumors of the house’s “haunting” by ghosts may have given her pause, how could it be any worse than the internal ghosts of the betrayals she left behind? Her first night, alone with her cat could have been the start of an undead nightmare, or the beginning of her happily ever after…if she survives.
Jesse is the town’s only veterinarian, little did he know, the desperate woman who woke him in the middle of night could awaken something more in his heart, and put him in the middle of a mystery that had been hidden for decades.
Kathryn Knight has created the perfect blend of the paranormal, the mysterious and for romance lovers, a slow burn romance that is both heated and sweet in equal parts! She has created an atmosphere of something “unknown” just beyond the shadows, as well as a heroine who is slightly battered, but stronger than she realizes. Lark has heart, she cares and yet, she is afraid to trust in her feelings when she is around Jesse. Jesse has that “larger-than-life” feeling of quiet strength around him without being over-the-top. Combined with Ms. Knight’s ability to create tension-packed scenes, GHOST MOON is an incredible read from start to finish that may have you listening for those sounds every house makes, or even catching movement out of the corner of your eye.
I received a complimentary copy from Kathryn Knight! This is my honest and voluntary review.

After dealing with an earth-shaking betrayal, Lark Cavanaugh puts all her earthly belongings and her cat into her car and escapes to Cape Cod. She moves into a house she’s inherited and is determined to make a go of it. Everyone warns her of the ghosts and paranormal occurrences rumored to take place in her house but it’s all malarkey, right? The spirits make themselves known to her and she’s petrified. She turns to her helpful next-door neighbor, Jesse Holt, and together they try to solve what happened years ago at Holloway House. When the haunting turns life-threatening, Lark’s life is in danger. Can she and Jesse stay one step ahead of the paranormal forces at work or will Lark be the next Holloway House victim?
Ghost Moon is a spooky paranormal with plenty of steamy romance to satisfy any reader. From the first pages, Kathryn Knight grabs the reader’s attention by the throat and doesn’t let go. The paranormal suspense is incredible and there were times when I had goosebumps break out along my skin as I read. In classic Kathryn Knight style, she balances the paranormal with steamy romance. Both Lark and Jesse are tortured souls in need of some healing. The romance between them is perfectly paced. I connected with Lark right away. Her reactions to the hauntings were accurate and honest. The plot moves quickly with plenty of twists and turns I didn’t see coming. When the ending came, I exhaled audibly to control my racing heartbeat. Such a brilliant story and one I highly recommend!
Disclaimer: I read this on Kindle Unlimited.
Favorite Quote or Character: Lark. She’s gone through a lot of pain and all she wants is a fresh start. She goes through such growth in Ghost Moon and her strength shines like a beacon. A terrific heroine I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with.
Ghost Moon is a gripping story that will have you wanting to sleep with the lights on. Are you afraid of what might be making those sounds lingering in the dark at night? It’s not an overly scary story, but it had my wheels turning my head. Plus, I’m kind of a chicken.
Lark is a girl that has bad luck. She lost her job and has to move to a haunted house she inherited. I almost cried when her cat fell sick suddenly, but Dr. Holt aka Jesse comes to the rescue.
I immediately fell in love with Jesse. He seemed like he was too hood yo be true, but boy did he prove me wrong.
I loved how the book ended and no I’m not giving out hints! Go read the book! For me the ending was the best part! I didn’t know if I wanted to cry or hold my breath, but I loved it! The slow build to the explosive end was well worth the wait for an unexpected surprise. Yes, it’s a must add to your TBR!
Thank you Kathryn Knight for gifting me this book to read. It was such a pleasure.
If you're looking for a supernatural mystery mixed with feel-good romance, this standalone ghost story will probably hit the spot.
As the book begins, Lark is moving to a new town and a house she's inherited--after losing her job in New York and catching her fiance in bed with her best friend. (Let me pause here and say the deets on her boyfriend aren't revealed until more than halfway through the book, but the hinting is so heavy-handed, you could figure it out in chapter one.)
Anyway, she knows before she ever steps foot inside that the place is rumored to be haunted. And sure enough, it is. Thank goodness for the sexy and super-sweet vet who saves her cat and just happens to be her next door neighbor. Jesse is a former soldier and is there for her from the get-go. Of course, she falls for him, despite her fears about giving her heart to another man. They work together, trying to figure out who is behind the haunting and what is driving them.
The ghost mystery was pretty good, and the atmosphere in the house was suitably creepy. The romance was a little easy, and like I said, the backstory on Lark was kind of obvious, but I liked Jesse and I liked the two of them together.
Overall, I found this an engaging and easy read. Would pick up another book from this author.
I love me a ghost story, I’ll never not love a ghost story. I love stories where really someone who has passed on can’t fully transition because of the unrest due to wanting their story, their truth being discovered. Our main character inherits a house, gets there and it’s haunted. She wants to sale and finds herself piecing together who is haunting the home and why. All this while having a romance with one of her new neighbors.
I started reading this story late at night. Had to read during daylight hours.....I'm such a wuss! This story was sweet in places with Jesse and Lark together, but horrifying when Lark was having nightmares and drowning. Loved reading it, although it was spooky! 5☆
(My Kindle truly froze on p.142 - wouldn't go forward or back, so had to reboot 👻)
Ghost Moon by Kathryn Knight is an amazing story that I have read. This is an amazing story written by a brand new author for me to read and I can not wait to read more from this author. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about mystery, romantic suspense and paranormal romances.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
An interesting ghost story that was legitimately creepy in places. I was astounded that Lark kept going to check out the noises in the guest room by herself. I could never!!! But the reveal was a letdown that didn’t fully make sense to me. …like that’s all it took? It didn’t explain why
I could have used a bit more character development across the board. That’s what’s preventing me from rating this higher. I liked both Lark and Jesse but I didn’t have a sense of who they really were, especially since Lark came across as so fragile and naive. She didn’t really deal with why she left NYC either. And Jesse didn’t really deal with his ex-girlfriend not fully accepting that they were never going to get together. That subplot completely disappeared and while I was glad it didn’t turn into an Evil Ex trope, I didn’t understand why that character had been there at all. In any case, I’m glad Lark had Jesse by her side through all the haunting and that they can move into their future together ghost-free.
Character notes: Lark is a 25 year old white redheaded restaurant hostess, amateur photographer, and laid off broker’s assistant. She has a cat named Preston. Jesse is a 29 year old white veterinarian and Army veteran. He has a pit bull mix named Bosco and a chocolate Lab named Benny. This is set in Truro on Cape Cod.
Content notes: , ghost and paranormal interferences, night terrors, sleepwalking, near drowning of FMC but MMC revives her through CPR, hospitalization, sick cat (urethral obstruction requiring emergency surgery, he recovers fine), FMC’s ex cheated on her with her best friend, MMC was in the Army and deployed to Afghanistan, past death of FMC’s parents (car accident), past death of MMC’s father, past death of distant relatives (suicide, accident), on page sex, alcohol, ableist language, discussion of someone who was a WWII refugee, reference to relative who had multiple miscarriages
This is a contemporary romance with a ghostly, life threatening twist and a fantastic book to escape into!
After Lark Cavanaugh inherits Holloway House, in Cape Cod, she didn't expect to be visiting it so soon. However, life has conspired against her in New York and she escaped to the old home which has been abandoned for a decade not expecting to have any problems even though she has heard that it is haunted. Talk about things going bump in the night! This is an eerie, haunting story in which Lark is forced to revise her opinions about ghosts..... and will only survive with the help of local veterinarian, Jesse Holt. As events unfold the two become closer but there's a mystery to be solved and danger to be faced before they can have any chance of a HEA together!
This is a really atmospheric read, one to make your hairs stand on end as more is gradually revealed. I thoroughly enjoyed it and found it to be a real page turner and have no hesitation in highly recommending it. It is a very different story involving family history, secrets, ghostly encounters and, of course, romance but the path of true love doesn't always run smoothly......
I requested and was gifted a copy of this book via NetGalley and this is my honest review after choosing to read it and thoroughly enjoying doing so.
Thank you to NetGalley and Backlit PR for allowing me access to read this book! GHOST MOON by Kathryn Knight is based on a haunting and a new romance. I was worried the haunting and romance would read separately but the author intertwined the storylines seamlessly. Lark is fresh off a major heartache and job loss from New York and moves to the recently inherited Holloway House on Cape Cod. Jesse is the town vet and took over the practice from his father that has passed away. Their paths cross when Lark needs help with her sick cat Preston in the middle of the night. Lark and Jesse quickly become friendly and then when the next night comes and Lark is running through the woods screaming for help, Jesse becomes more attractted and protective of her. Lark confides in Jesse of the scary incidents happening in her house and starts to feel attraction to Jesse also. With a budding romance happening, they team up to try figure out who is haunting the Holloway House and why, I loved the romance between the two, it felt real and it had great pacing. The haunting side of the story was just enough to make it feel eerie and have a dark atmosphere. I would recommend this book to everyone! My review will be on NetGalley, Goodreads and Amazon!
Ghost Moon is something different. Though not by ghosts or paranormal. Just different in a way that it tells a story but given that it more mystery and romance than paranormal. The title does not give away much about what this book is about.
We meet Lark as she is driving to the new place that she inherited. When she arrives she sees someone in the front window. Things get even more interesting and enjoyable once she comes goes into the house. Her cat is my favorite. How he reacts is funny. I guess if your pet is acting weird you might want to think about it. They seem to be able to sense something or someone.
Kathryn Knight writes a well-written story. Though it seems this one was very heavy in the romance department. He also meets Jesse Holt. What is happening at Holloway House seems to affect Jesse neighbor Lark. He meets him and he comes to Lark recuse the first night. He offers to talk to his mother and her friends to find out who this ghost is.
If you enjoy ghost or ghost stories, this one is good. It seems it should be ghost mystery or at least paranormal mystery. This is good for fans of mystery and or romance as well. My favorite part is the paranormal which is the ghost in it. Why I do not know, could be that I want to know what happens to the ghost and why she there. There are many twists and turns throughout. You will be trying to guess along the way as to what happens and what does this ghost want until the end.
Y’all know I love a Haunted House story! I also love a really cute small town romance. So when you put those two things together, you get Ghost Moon!! 😍 Seriously, this book was the absolute best mashup of the two tropes. The creepy moments were so eerily written that they had me jumping when the wind creaked through my windows, or my cats made a noise in another room. 🫣
Jesse and Lark, two strong and independent people who have been so much heartache. It felt like fate that they found each other, but not in the sicky sweet cheesy way. Their meet cute was of epic proportions and left me smiling like an idiot. I could not get enough of their story!!
This was a really good book. A good creepy love story. Lots of suspense and drama.brokenn heart, trust issues, hot as hell good guy. vindictive ghost. Beautiful setting.
I haven't read a ghost story in a long time, and I enjoyed this one immensely. This one was fast paced, expertly crafted and edited flawlessly. Loved the world building and description of the house in question.
"The windows along the far wall overlooked the back of the property, and she paused to enjoy the view. It really was peaceful. A low wooden deck stretched out from the kitchen, and beyond that, a gentle hill rolled down to the tree line. The narrow river that marked the property line wound its way through the brush and pitch pines, and beyond that, she could just make out the back of her closest neighbor’s house at the top of the opposing rise."
The meet cute between Jesse and Lark happens over her cat. Jesse was so caring and sexy as he tried to navigate through Lark 's feelings. She does have baggage, but I loved how Jesse heard her out. And there were some truly scary scenes that I had to slow down and savor. An example:
"Icy air surrounded his arms as he grabbed her around the waist. He hauled her up and back, wrenching her away from the unseen force. A numb, prickling sensation washed over his flesh, and corresponding nausea churned in his stomach. The air around them was cold and dense, inhabited by a tangle of pain and terror. He clutched her to him, her body limp against his chest, and pulled her farther away from the river."
The only thing I wish is that the flashback scenes were delineated a bit differently, as it took a few seconds to realize what it was and it briefly pulled me from the story. I also figured it all out pretty quickly. But it didn't matter. The story is riveting and the pacing is perfect. I flew through the book at lightening speed. It's a wonderful book that i wish I had a roaring fireplace to read in front of, in the dark so I could freak myself out.

If it weren’t for bad luck … well, unfortunately, Lark Cavanaugh’s not having much luck OTHER than bad. When it all hits the fan, she decides to take refuge in an old house she inherited from a distant relative. So what if it’s rumored to be haunted! It’s not like she believes in that sort of thing! Part ghost story, part thriller, part love story, and completely engrossing, “Ghost Moon” instantly captured my attention and then held me fascinated throughout! Beautifully written, and fabulously, narrated, I could not stop listening! This clear, well written plot gave me the shivers! I was literally held spellbound as the story played out! No spoilers! It’s impossible to go into details without giving away the many surprises this wonderfully eerie story has to offer! There is romance, heat, intrigue, mystery, and suspense! There are so many edge of your seat - heart in your throat “oh no, no, no, NO” moments! And the characters! Human, animal, and ghostly, all brilliantly defined and developed, spanning the full spectrum of human and spectral likability! There were some I loved and a few I loathed. The variety just made this listen all the more interesting! The animals however, were ALL delightful! The dialogue rings true and is beautifully, authentically narrated. The scene setting is descriptively clear and cleverly presented in a way that informs the listener without getting in the way of the story! The ending, WOW! I could NOT have predicted THAT ever! I throughly enjoyed every moment of this one, and yes, as with all good ghost stories, it will definitely be a listened to again and again! Five shivering stars! I loved it!
Kathryn Knight is an author known for her paranormal books. Ghost Moon is her newest release and I cannot even say how excited I was to receive my copy. As soon as it was available, I started reading it. I loved the twists and turns, the paranormal happenings, and of course, the romance all kept me turning pages and looking for the next clue as to who was haunting Lark’s house in Cape Cod.
Paintings falling off the wall, Lark’s cat hiding most of the time, the doors slamming, and the rest of the paranormal activity kept me guessing at what had happened in Lark’s house. I tried to follow the clues, listen to the characters tell the history, but I didn’t quite catch on until the end when it all came together. I loved every page of history on the house. I loved learning about the people who had lived in the house and what they had gone through. There were rumors, truths, and unknowns that became important parts of the story.
Of course, the romance was wonderful. It was slow, it was sweet, and it was beautiful. There was no judgment between Lark and Jesse. Jesse respected that Lark had just gone through something and wasn’t ready to share that with him, he didn’t like when she pulled away but let her know he was there for her and let her have her space to figure out what she wanted. Lark let Jesse into her life, even the haunting parts. She trusted that he would help her find the answers that she needed to find.
Kathryn Knight is an amazing author. I love her paranormal twists, her sweet romances, and her fun books. I recommend reading Ghost Moon or any of her books. They are a guaranteed win!
An old haunted house on Cape Cod got my attention. I am not a big fan of “Romance, Sci Fi nor fantasy but I am okay with ghosts. Lark Cavanaugh inherits the Holloway House in the town of Truro on Cape Cod. She has lost her job in New York also her fiancé. She has nowhere to go so packs up her cat, Preston and figured this is a good a time as any to check out her inheritance. Everyone believes Holloway House is haunted. Lark agrees it looks a bit creepy but she doesn’t believe in Ghosts…Hmmmm… Kitty Preston gets sick and Lark has to visit the Vet. There is an immediate attraction. No doubt dreamy Dr. Jesse Holt has great appeal ~ his two awesome dogs Bosco and Benny ~ that everyone loves~ are a nice addition. But the local ghost soon demands Lark’s attention. Yep! Dr. Jesse comes to the rescue
Note from me: The reviews on this novel are amazing, everyone loves it. However, I should have guessed from the cover that it might have more steamy sex than scary ghosts. I went from ~ “Hmm” to “okay this isn’t terrible” ended with “actually a quick kind of fun read “. Certainly not a 5 star read for old fuddy-duddy me. However, I can understand why those who follow steamy romance with some secrets and yes mystery would love it.
I may try another Kathryn Knight now that I understand her style!
Want to thank NetGalley and Blacklit PR for this ARC granted to me in exchange for an honest professional review. Opinions expressed in this review are my own ~ which I am sure you figured out!
Lindas Book Obsession Reviews "Ghost Moon" by Kathryn Knight, April 2020
WOW! Kathryn Knight, author of "Ghost Moon" has written a spooky, scary, suspenseful mysterious, steamy and intense novel. The Genres for this novel are Para-normal, Ghost-Story, Suspense and Mystery, Thriller, and Romance. The timeline for this story is set in the present and goes back to the past when it pertains to the characters or events. The author describes her dramatic characters as complex, complicated, and confused. Some are quirky. I love the touch in the story of personable dogs and a cat. This is a twisted, and captivating story with betrayals, danger, and possibly murder.
Lark Cavanaugh has inherited a house in Cape Cod rumored to be haunted. Lark has dealt with disappointment and betrayal in New York, so she and her cat are set to move into this home. When are cat gets ill, she takes him to the nearest Veterinarian, Jesse Holt, who manages to diagnose and save the cat. Coincidentally, Jesse is her neighbor.
In Lark's home, there are strange occurrences. First pictures are falling off the walls, and Lark hears sounds. Lark investigates the history of her relatives and the house. She is being pushed to seeking the truth. Lark is in grave danger. As a matter of fact, it is a question of life and death, that she find the answers of what had happened. This reminds me of Michelle Pfeiffer in 'What Lies Believe". I highly recommend this intense and edgy novel for those readers who enjoy para-normal reading.
Kathryn Knight writes a paranormally romantic tale with Ghost Moon
The reader is introduced to Lark, who has a bitter backstory, and is headed to Cape Cod, where she has inherited an old home, with a backstory and haunting past of its own. I haven't read anything by this author before, and what a hidden gem. I enjoyed it so much, that I have now followed the author and look for more books to read. Lark is a passionate woman, but also still dealing with her former life in New York City. Now, she lives in a home with more secrets than even herself. Insert military Vet, Jesse, who is also a veterinarian, where he wishes to settle down and take over his father's practice. Now, he is neighbors with Lark and can't get her out of his mind. Lark has other plans, though. What I liked best about the story is that it wasn't just a quick romance with ghosts in the background, both were forefront, and where their passion for each other was ignited, so was the desire to live and deal with the deadly past of the haunted home that Lark lives in. The author weaves a tangled web of story and captures the reader. The chemistry between the characters is not forced but seemed to tell a story of its own. This journey was very unpredictable. Ghost Moon is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews. I read this book to give my unbiased and honest review. Amy's Bookshelf Reviews recommends that anyone who reads this book, to also write a review.
I’M TELLING ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN ABOUT THIS BOOK
I don’t often tell my husband the details of a story that I’m reading. This one (and many of the books I read from Kathryn Knight) was an exception. The best part is that he is always attentive when I do describe her stories.
Lark’s first meeting with Jesse invokes hero worship as the town veterinarian saves her ill cat. Still, she’s trying desperately to guard her heart. She believes she has reason to never trust another human being again.
I loved Lark’s slow and measured unfolding in her new town. I loved the instant attraction, but slow to develop relationship. I loved that neither Jesse nor Lark believed in ghosts in the beginning, but they each were willing to believe in the other intrinsically.
I think what made this the most exciting was that the ghosts are not hundreds of years passed. The mystery is modernly traceable.
Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC via NetGalley, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Lark Cavanaugh arrives at her inherited house in Cape Cod. It is called the Holloway House. Upon arrival Lark notices a vague figure in one of the windows but finds the house empty. Lark has her cat, Preston with her but the cat refuses to leave the carrier. Then Lark hears sounds, thumps, a picture frame falls off the wall, a book opens to a certain page when it falls from a bookshelf then the most scariest problem occurs....Lark is found in the wooded area of Hollloway House in a dream like state. It is like someone is pulling her through the woods to the water below. Once could be she was sleepwalking but several times?? Whose ghost is inhabiting the Holloway House and taking control of her body?? As she starts to investigate it looks like the spooky phenomenon is from a decades old mystery. The description of the area and the history will hold the reader attention throughout the beach k. Add a good looking Veterinarian with two fun dogs and the plot thickens. Suspenseful, steamy, well written read. A Highly Recommended Read. I volunteered to read Ghost Moon. Thanks to the author and publisher via Net Gallery. My opinion is voluntary and my own.
This is my second book by Kathryn Knight and it lived up to how much I loved the first one. Her books are easily a straight through read. The action moves smoothly and every time I set a time limit for reading I didn't want to stop. Lark is broken after being deceived and betrayed by the two people that meant the most to her so she leaves New York City for awhile to sell the "haunted" house she has inherited. In the charming Cape Cod town she moves to is gorgeous Jesse, the Veteran veterinarian! I can't say enough about her cat, Preston, and his dogs, Bosco and Benny. They are definitely major characters in this story. Ms Knight obviously loves animals because she has their behavior spot on and their human family adores them in ways only animal lovers understand. The paranormal mystery is satisfying from beginning to end. Her description of Lark's arrival at the supposed haunted house is beautiful. Kathryn Knight knows how to write an opening scene. I remembered that about her first book I read, Dangerous Currents, and she didn't let me down in Ghost Moon. You really need to try one of her magical mysteries!
Ghost Moon By: Kathryn Knight Narrated by: Kristin James
I love getting lost in a good ghost story and Kathryn Knight always delivers one! Lark is desperate. Homeless, jobless and now coming to claim an old family residence from her inheritance, she is hoping to sell and be able to start over. But that is not quite what she gets. Things that go bump in the night is an understatement. Even the cat is a little on edge. When the cat needs medical attention, Lark calls Jesse, the only vet in town. And he gets so much more than just a new client! Not afraid to dive into the craziness that has become Lark's home, the two are on a mission to find it's history. But will it have the answers? And as they become closer, will Lark change her plans? Fun! Fun! Fun! Just the right amount of suspense to keep my heart pumping and romance to make my heart sing. Loved this ghost story and can't wait to see what may appear next!
Kristin James delivers an incredible narration for this paranormal romance. Full of whispers and fear, she dials into the emotions of the house as well as Lark and Jesse! She pulled me in and held me captive until the very end! Fantastic listen!
While this isn't a genre I normally explore, I am so glad I tried it because I absolutely loved it and will definitely be exploring more 'mild' mystery ghost stories.
Lark inherits a house in Cape Cod and seizes the opportunity to escape there for the summer, seeking solace after her life in NYC fell apart. Initially skeptical about the rumors of the house being haunted, she encounters a series of mysterious events as she settles in.
When Lark's cat, Preston, falls ill, she reaches out to the local veterinarian, Jesse, who turns out to be her neighbour. There's an instant connection between them, and a mutual fondness starts to grow.
As Lark grapples with the eerie mysteries and supernatural occurrences within the house, Jesse is determined to assist her. Together, they embark on a quest to uncover the secrets of Holloway House.
I was so engrossed in the plot, completely invested in the haunted mysteries of Holloway House. Lark and Jesse's characters felt authentic and relatable, and their chemistry so genuine. Kathryn's writing is exceptional, and it has given me a newfound appreciation for this genre. I'm so grateful she gifted me the audiobook, and I'm genuinely excited to read more of Kathryn's books!
Uncaged Review: After she gets burned by her finance, Lark retreats to a home she inherited from an aunt she barely knew in a small town on Cape Cod. The rumors are the house is haunted and Lark begins seeing the evidence of that when she arrives with her cat Preston. When Preston gets sick, she finds a vet to take him to in the middle of the night, not knowing the vet is her neighbor, Jesse. Strange things like pictures falling off walls, and sounds coming from the house, but it starts getting dangerous when Lark starts sleepwalking near the river that runs in the wooded area between her and Jesse’s house. Lark and Jesse become closer, and Lark feels that she needs to find out the mystery of the haunting in the home. But the truth will be a dangerous road, but one that Lark believes needs to be solved to set the soul free.
This is a good ghost mystery, one that kept me reading. The mystery, danger and love that grows between Jesse and Lark are all well balanced within the book. Everything becomes clear in the end and it’s a fun time getting there. 4.5 Stars Reviewed by Cyrene
My second book from Kathryn and I devoured this one . I could not get enough of Lark, Jesse and this ghost. This book is extremely fast-paced and does not waste anytime time getting to the point. I was creeped out and captivated at the same time. What separates Kathryn's work from other ghost stories that I've read is how well written they are and how she balances the horror and romance genre so well. There is no taking away from the real story here, the focus remains on the mystery that is the haunted house. Also just like The Haunting of Hillwood Farm it does not feel rushed despite it being less than 300 pages long. Another thing I love about her writing so far is her female characters are always strong, sassy and smart as hell. That's a FMC I can get behind. I'm someone who a main character can make or break a book for me so this is very important in my eyes. I also love that the ghost had such a compelling story to tell and we got to see it through her eyes. A perfect combination of spook and romance with a wee little spice. 5 stars from me.
I loved reading Ghost Moon by Kathryn Knight because it was such a great book!!! Lark had had some tragedy happen in her life. She needed to escape for a bit. Her great aunt Joan had willed her the house. She had heard it was haunted.and she needed to sell it. Her cat Preston got sick and she called the emergency vet. That is how she met Dr. Jesse Holt. Their chemistry was hot and heated. Turns out they were neighbors. Strange events were happening in the house that were frightening to Lark. She was determined with Jesse to find out what or who was haunting her house. This book was very intense and haunting. I got nervous reading it during some chapters. It kept me on the edge of my seat. I highly recommend reading this book. It was spooky and intense and there was some heated romance between Lark and Jesse!!
