Another great addition to this fun series! Lincoln and Glory, his search and rescue dog, had just made it to Heart Lake, when it started storming. He was excited about starting his new job in the small town and establishing setting up a top notch search and rescue program. He would train other law enforcement and their K-9 partners how to SAR operations.
What he didn't expect was his new neighbor. Katie Burke was absolutely stunning and he found out she had renovated his house and was working on hers. Which is one thing that brought them together unexpectedly! Let's just say he fell through her porch and before he knew it the porch was collapsing and he barely got her out of the way!
Unfortunately Katie was just out of a bad relationship, but who could resist Lincoln? Such a handsome, really nice guy who helping her with her work on the her house! A sweet romance filled with a little suspense, wonderful characters and a fabulous guy that might just rescue her heart!!

The Girl Next Door Rescue is a K-9 search and rescue story. Lincoln is on his way to Heart Lake to start his new search and rescue department for the Heart Lake police department as they are having a problem with drugs. His partner, Glory is anxious to get there and get out of the cage and can tell a storm is about to hit. He finds out immediately that the county is divided between the Remington's and the Hawling's. They don't like each other at all. Lincoln's new neighbor is a relative to the Remington's. She had inherited the family farm with 2 run down houses and she fixed up the smaller and sold it with a few acres of land to Lincoln. She is working on the larger home to live in herself. Lincoln finds out that the steps and eventually the entire porch and that part of the roof is so dangerous that it comes down all at once and he grabs Katie and rolls inside her house to keep it from falling in top of them. He finds out that her ex boyfriend has came to Heart Lake and possibly could put Katie in danger. He decided it is his duty to protect his new neighbor. What good is having a deputy next door if you can't feel safe?

The Girl Next Door Rescue: A K9 Handler Romance by Jo Grafford is book 16 of Disaster City Search and Rescue series. This is Officer Lincoln Hudson 's story. Lincoln is going to start the K-9 unit for Heart Lake, Texas. When Lincoln buys a home from his next door neighbor, Katie Burke . A tornado makes the story interesting. Jo Grafford keeps the story moving as well as seeking the total town story going. The situations are very realistic with very strong characters. The secondary characters are strong and add a lot to the story. I enjoyed this story and looking forward to the next story.

The Girl Next Door Rescue takes a character from previous books in the Texas Hotline series and tells his story finding love. It also brings us to Heart Lake which is great because I read the Heart Lake series first and now am getting the background to events that happen later. Grafford’s descriptive writing is her superpower. She fills her stories with descriptions of her scenes, characters and moments, which also brings great romance in her relationships. She has a special ability to bring across understated conversations and narration that makes the reader smile and gives extra depth to her stories.

Falling in love with the new neighbor
Lincoln left the big city to work in a small town police department. His big surprise is his next door neighbor and it’s practically love at first sight. Spending his days trying to solve where the sudden influx of drugs is coming from and building up his Dog Training program for the Dept. He is busy but also finds time in evenings helping his neighbor with her DIY home repairs, they both find themselves pleasantly surprised to be falling in love. Loved this book. Characters were sweet and their experiences during a bad storm brings their feelings to light. Hope you enjoy,

This was a really good read! I enjoyed Linc and Katie's story! When Luke moves to town, he first meets Katie after she sought shelter from a storm in his storm cellar. He's intrigued by her, especially when he learns that she's the one who renovated and sold the house he bought. He decides he needs to get to know Katie. When Katie meets Linc, she knows he can wreak havoc with her heart, and she's not sure she's ready.

Katie and Lincoln's story is great! There's not just a tornado brewing in the weather! It's brewing in the lives of these two neighbor's! Lincoln is the new K-9 handler of the Heart Lake police department and when he buys the house that Katie just finished remodeling, there are sure sparks going on! Especially when he runs across the street to say hello to her at the next house she's remodeling and the porch caves in on him! The secondary characters add a lot to this fun story and there's a criminal case to be solved too! Get ready for a fun story!!!

Really enjoyed Lincoln and Katie's story. Lincoln moved to a small town to start a K9 unit. He moved beside Katie a DIY blogger who restored his home and is now restoring her Grandmother's old farm house. I enjoyed this book, when I got to the last 2 chapters I then slowed down reading. I laughed and worried and got excited, all the emotions you get from a good book. I didn't want it to end. If you like clean stories with romance and a little suspense, you will enjoy 'The Girl Next Door Rescue'. I received this book from the publisher. The thoughts and comments are my own.

Another great book in the K9 rescue series. This book is about a young woman who restores older homes to their original looks. Lincoln was a young Sargent for the Rangers before he was hired as a police man for a small town and then he bought one of the carpenters restored homes and proceeded to set up a K-9 unit training grounds where he trained more K9 partners for the department. This book was very interesting and intriguing to read . This is my review and mine alone. Norma Gorrill

Lincoln didn't know what he was in for when he bought the property next to Katie. He did not expect a sassy, stubborn woman who did home improvements. Lincoln is not deterred and is determined to win her heart. Katie did not expect her new neighbor to be selfless, funny and handsome. In a land of tornadoes, a family feud and an ex boyfriend up to know good make this a very interesting and romantic story.

Katie is Miss Independent when it comes to fixing up her old house. Lincoln is the hot guy next door that wants to get to know her better by being her "helper". That combination makes for an interesting story. Then there is the ex-boyfriend that wants Katie back but for what reason? You have to read this book to solve the mystery. I enjoyed the book. I received a free copy. This is my unbiased, voluntary opinion.

The Girl Next Door Rescue is a clean, sweet, heartwarming romance with suspense. This book has everything, hunky police officer with stunning search and rescue dog, feisty, independent, gorgeous girl next door blogger, starting a canine search and rescue training center, trying to stop the small town's influx of drugs and am RV that can climb the sides of steep mountains! All that makes this well written book an exciting read.

Yes, we have met Katie and Lincoln in the other books. It is time for their story. Katie really has a hard time trusting men Period……..!!!! You think you know someone and then all of a sudden, they mean more to you than you ever thought. Katie was done with men. But Lincoln is so completely different than her ex and wow what a difference. Wow I loved this book. Enjoy.

Jo Grafford can be counted on to give us a romance with action, conflicts and perhaps a few twists. In addition her heroines are action figures, not stand aside and wring hands figures. Katie is a DIY blogger restoring her 100 year old house, Lincoln is a Search and Rescue K9 expert and trainer. Heart Lake is growing and I look forward to the stories that might be coming.

Glory will steal your heart first, but Lincoln and Katie will be close behind! I loved the two of them, the crazy town, the fued everyone sticks to really has no idea what it is about or why....so many things to like and it sets us up perfectly for book one in the heart Lake series due out on 23rd April- yippie! I can't wait!

Keeps getting better!
This series is wonderful. I can't stop reading the series. It is so refreshing to read a series that you know you don't have to skip pages because of content that makes you uncomfortable. These are wonderful characters with great stories that are page turners that you can't wait to get into the next one. Enjoy!

Very good story with good pacing. I enjoyed the tense moments in this book most. The MCs were easy to get to know and I loved seeing their story unfold. I feel like this series started well enough, but it does seem to be improving. I hope I get to continue the series in the near future. If you’re looking for clean suspense romance with a light touch of faith, this might be a good read for you.

3 and a half stars. This was a very predictable, far-too-fast romance and despite being advertised as a Christian romance, had hardly any mention of God - just a prayer to save someone during a tornado. A bit of an inconsistency - if the tornado hit the barn, how did the pillow not move? Quite pleasant.

A lot happens in a short time in this Heart Lake story. Lincoln and Katie clash, learn to work together, work with search and rescue dogs, renovate a house, survive storms and drug dealers. Heart Lake characters and conflicts appear to help tie them together with the other books. I enjoyed the story.

I really enjoyed reading this book! The K9 handler moves to a new small town to build a K9 team for search and rescue! The girl who lives next door is a fixer-upper and he helps! I recommend this book to anyone who likes romance!

Powerfully exciting throughout

Enjoy a Sweet and Clean Romance
It sure it nice to read a romance that’s just sweet and clean. The characters have strong morals and good sense of right and wrong, yet the story gives insight into the world of search and rescue along the way. Makes for a fun and interesting read.

Really Great Series
I'm totally enjoying this series and all the characters. I loved Lincoln and Katie's story. These two are meant to be together. Tornadoes, dogs, intrigue and romance make for a captivating read.
