Please... please... I am begging the author to stop adding in random men falling for Kiara. It is obvious that she's not into them, and it is deeply uncomfortable to read about their interactions ((minor, non-specific spoilers starting from here)), esp this newest man, where they obviously do not respect her personal space and boundaries because she cannot work up the wherewithal to advocate for herself. It's upsetting, and I do not like it. We already know -- since the first book even -- the only man she's gonna like is Reggie, so why do we gotta keep adding in casual sexual harassment?? I just do not get it. Bring back the fluffy goodness of the first book I am begging; I am exhausted -- I hardly even want to read the final installment because I do not want to read more about these men that Suck. They Suck so, so hard dude. Why does Kiara even care about them?? My poor waif of a girl Kiara, the neglect you have experienced in your life is truly not doing you any favors, and I am crying.

Kiara's life is in direct danger, desperate to flee, she has to make a deal or two to survive and to have those she cares about remain alive as well. Volume 5 lacks the somewhat melodramatic drama and silly behaviour from Kiara of volume 4. Instead there are interesting tense battles, some decent progress in the romance and a few interesting reveals. Now, whether or not the "twist" at the end is good or not depends a bit on personal taste, although it should not come as a complete surprise. It is clear the series is going forward to a resolution and for now it is looking good.
