Definitely, one of the saddest books that can be read. Not just a biography but a deep dive into Dalida's life, thoughts, opinions and suffering. I haven't read that many biographies so far, but this is exactly how a biography should be made. It was beautifully written and made with love, tenderness and respect towards the most iconic, most tragic diva of all time. At times, it was difficult to read for all the things she went through were told in detail and it was really harsh. However, for anyone who wants to learn more about her life, it is a perfect book.
Also, this is the first book I ever read in French. I can't speak French yet I somehow chose a book of 750 pages. It was very easy to understand and its prose was tender and beautiful.
