I once had everything figured out - the start of a stellar sports career, a nice place of my own, anyone I could have wanted - but one moment changes it all.
A car accident which leaves me out for the rest of the football season.
Don't get me wrong, I know I'm lucky to be alright, but I can't say it hasn't put me in a slump. I'm used to being active, being on the field, with the guys, the smell of sweat and blood and the cheer of the crowd when I win.
I'll have it again, but for now, I am stuck playing video games and hanging out with my sister.
The only thing which makes it all a little interesting is the guy I've been flirting with online. He taught me how to play like a nerd, how to spend my time on this instead of being miserable, and while I doubt it would ever work for real, I kind of owe it to him to meet him.
But I get more than I bargained for when it turns out I already know him, and he's NO NERD.
He's hot, and I'm in deep trouble.
