I am incredibly proud and honored to have worked with Heather and her wonderful parents as this story evolved into the book you are holding in your hands now. Of all the books I have been involved with, this book is one of the most inspiring I have ever read. Heather is courageous, determined, and has a true heart to use the setbacks and challenges in her life as a way to inspire people and help them transform their own lives. Headstrong will have a global impact on many people and I look forward to working with Heather for many years to come.—Andrew Jobling, Bestselling Author, and International motivational speaker. If you want to know what it’s like to experience God’s love amid tragedy, this book is a definitive account. While Heather’s physical body struggled, this book highlights the determination and grit it took to begin a new normal successfully. I was at the hospital; I heard the doctors’ difficult conversations. However, I also witnessed God changing moments and saw the human spirit thrive. I recommend this book because there isn’t another on the market that captures the way to become Head Strong. —Scott Stevens, Pastor, North Way Christian Community. Heather’s life journey is an incredible testimony of God’s desire to walk with each of us in the midst of extreme pain, difficult circumstances, and life-altering tragedies. Her story is a beautiful illustration of how a raw faith in God can overcome the brutal reality of this broken world. As a girl dad, I was especially drawn to Heather’s invitation to her parents to honestly respond in each chapter. Watching their daughter go through these horrendous trials, they could have easily grown bitter and thrown in the faith towel, but instead, they fought to trust God with an incredible church community surrounding their entire family. Head Strong is truly an inspiring story to the kind of faith I want for my family.—Kent Chevalier, Pittsburgh Steelers Chaplain. ABOUT THE Heather L. This was an interesting book. I have the same medical condition and our stories are remarkably similar. It was great reading someone putting it into words that explains the experience so well. I liked the input from her parents, being able to see their perspective.
