Writers are troubled people. Not only do we suffer from writer’s block, but we also battle with intense and persistent resistance that is so powerful we will often do anything and everything… except sit down and write.
How many industries use the word “BLOCK” when talking about their trade or job title, as in Writer’s BLOCK?
Why is writing so hard? Why do 90% of people say they want to write a book, but according to statistics, only 1% do? And why are there so many broke and struggling writers that there is a special term for them – STARVING ARTISTS?
The Struggle is REAL.

This book was a little too long, but other than that, the information within is helpful. Michelle Kulp's insights into authorship and entrepreneurship make for a great read. Michelle's thoughts on being a writer and the Stephen King quotes were excellent.
I enjoyed reading about her success and what she achieved through hard work and perseverance. Her insights are fascinating and motivating. I recommend this book.
This was a fast but enjoyable read. I recently discovered Michelle's work and her site. This is a book I'd recommend to all writers who want to write a book and are dragging their feet...or writers who are spending years writing one book. Finish that book and get it out into the world! Self-publishing is a valid way to get your work out there. Michelle says (and I agree) to get your work out into the world, and let the market decide if they like it. The more books you have published, the more passive income you'll make. Recommended.
...from someone who is actually doing it. Kulp does not tell us that she is making a million dollars, or that she is ready to retire. Personally, I would rather read the advice of someone who is still in the journey, but just ahead of the rest of us, so we can see her turn around and motion for us to join her. That is exactly what she does. I've already marked two more of her books to download.
Every writer should read this book. I saw myself in it, and my sister who is another aspiring writer. It is so clear cut and to the point, our blocks became obvious. This will be a life changing book for me and I highly recommend it to all aspiring writers
Lovely book, inspirational for all would be writers!
Wonderful book, uplifting and encouraging while chock full of inspiring thoughts and quotes. A definite must read for all those with a book inside dying to come out!
