Angelica is my Navy buddy's daughter. I have no business hungering for her, especially after they've welcomed me into their home. I'm a big, ugly bruiser with a dangerous job conducted in the shadows. She's beautiful, young, talented, and on her way to a successful pop music career. But when she asks me to show her some self-defense moves one night and I can no longer hide my intense attraction, everything changes in one blistering instant.
Now, she's in danger from an overzealous fan...and there's no one else I trust to protect her. But my lust is as sharp as a razor's edge. And in close quarters with the girl who inhabits my dreams, keeping my hands to myself could prove to be an impossible mission...
My self-control when it comes to Jessa Kane's books?
Angelica is my polar opposite. She’s beautiful. I’m scarred up and terrifying. She’s eighteen and I’m thirty-seven. She has the voice of an angel. She’s everything pretty, lighthearted and positive. I’m a murdering bogeyman.
↑ This quote is literally the book in a nutshell! 😌
Last book of 2020!!!!! And it was okay some drama some tiny daddy kink. And just okay.
Murph has been wanting his best friends daughter but he doesn't act on those thoughts because shes 18 and well best friends daughter but they have a moment and he pushes her away and stays away gut watches out for her for that year they were separated. Now Angelica is a big time famous star and has a stalker problem so she calls Murph to protect her and hes there making sure shes safe and they have a pull/push between them until he finally gives in and well drama with her father and Stalker.
Why a low star for me.. I hated that Murph kept calling her kid.. like thats the most blah nickname to call a person.
No ow drama and some om drama, no cheating, drama, sexy times, virgin gal and no manwhore

So this is a fucked up story, but I still read it till the end. 🤭❤
This had issues, serious issues like dubious consent in a scene, the main male character is an obsessive stalker and the main girl likes that because it makes her feel "safe". That's wrong gurl! So wrong! The mystery was done very poorly, of course Jessa Kane focus is in the sex, the relationship and stuff but King Sized was so well done that I didn't expected this mess.
Why did I read it till the end? The gurl can write sex scenes, like she makes them steamy as fuck and this one is a case of beauty and beast wich the author loves to use. So since I already had it, I finished it, but it does have issues. 🤷🏻♀️❤
Big burly older hero (who for some insane reason thinks he's ugly) is in love with the very young daughter of his best friend. She becomes a pop star and needs his protection, he arrives like a knight in shining armor, they do the hanky panky while engaging in DD/LG foreplay, some father drama ensues and we get a HEA.
It was OK I guess! I wanted it to be meatier but it was average.
Dad's best friend age gap One year separation at the beginning which I liked because it gave her time go try her dream Slight daddy kink 18/37 Epilogue
“You asked for it. You’re a plaything for the beast now.”
Murph and Angelica are a forbidden pair. She’s the daughter of his battle buddy, the little girl his best friend adores more than breathing. She’s supposed to be off-limits. Yet she’s the only one he can think of, the only one he desires, the only one who completes him.
When Angelica secures a record contract and is whisked out of his life he hides in the shadows. He’s her secret guardian angel. He’s the stalker you desire not the one you fear. And when a real stalker comes into Angelica’s life Murph is there to keep her safe, to make it right.
But it’s the things that these two say to each other that has this book coming in as one of my absolute favorites. I mean really…just look at this one 🔥🔥🥵🔥🔥
“I would have said whatever it took to get your hands on me.” “Jesus Christ. Are you trying to get tossed up onto my dick right now?” I growl, putting light pressure on her jaw until those fantasy lips pop open.

Hero - Murph. Former Navy and currently works for the government. Also owns a security company. 6’5, built like a tank, and has a thick middle. Short hair.
Heroine - Angelica Price. Famous pop singer. Long, golden-blonde hair and gray eyes. Petite.
Overall Thoughts - It was a so-so read for me. Murph is best friends with Angelica’s father so there’s some conflict there. He also considers himself too beastly for the beautiful Angelica so there’s push/pull in that regard as well. Add in the one year time jump where he apparently expected her to contact him first, and this one just wasn’t for me.
It’s glossed over, but from context clues I gathered that Murph has probably known Angelica for most, if not all, of her life. There’s no mention of just when he started to view her as more of a woman, but it seemed likely that it was during the one year before the start of this story. For Angelica’s part, she says she’s had a crush on him forever, but that it grew into something “less wholesome” after the incident in chapter one.
During the one year time jump, Angelica becomes a world-famous pop star and moves to Los Angeles. Just as we’re caught up on her life, she starts receiving death threats, causing her to reach out to Murph. The whole “stalker” situation was very thinly plotted and I’m still a little confused by it. One person ended up getting arrested, but then it turned out they were a red herring (I guess?) and it was actually someone else leaving the threats. There’s closure with that second person, but the first one who got arrested is never mentioned again. Were they let go?
The confrontation with the father was predictable and short-lived thanks to the stalker drama ramping up. It was over so quick that it didn’t even feel necessary in the first place. Perhaps that page space should have gone to the stalker plot? Or maybe the stalker plot should have been removed to focus on family? Either way, both threads were very “meh” to me.
About the security company...so at various points he says he pays her security team to keep him informed, making it sound like it was an under the table sort of deal, right? Well, then he reveals that . And I believe it was only mentioned once and then never again so it felt really glossed over as well.
There’s an okay HEA, but like the rest of the story, it failed to really satisfy me.
Omg the thick men will never get old for me !! I love them so much !!
I am soo obsessed with the big men. I appreciate that Jessa is delivering all the Thicck men. Don’t get me wrong everyone loves a muscled chest but sometimes we like a nice hairy chest and plump middle. Dad bods for the win and this is 5 fancy stars. As I always say Jessa Motherf*****g Kane.
-Daddy kink -Taboo romance -stalking -drama X2 -5 years out epilogue -no birth control
2 & a quarter stars-ish. It invokes the meh feeling in me, no matter how much I'm trying to find something good about it.
I thought it would be like Hefty (which was AWESOME) but nay. The first chapter already turned me off the hero. Like come on. How creepy can you be??? Then, suddenly we're jumping to a year later. Nope.
"After everything we’ve been through and the way he invites me in like a stray animal, there is no excuse for the way I look at his daughter."
Jessa Kane does it again! This series of bigger men books is just great. They are perfect for me because I happen to prefer a bigger, burlier if you will, man. Murph is amazing! He is so sweet and protective. He is my new book boyfriend. I want a man like him in my life! Angelica was pretty sweet and untouched despite her fame. I've read plenty of books where the female lead is famous and is just an annoying brat. The background story of her stalker kept things interesting and I have to admit I thought I knew where it was going and I was WRONG! It's a little shocking when a short romance actually isn't predictable. I mean, I expect a predictability in my romances.
Check this book out along with the others by Jessa Kane. For more excerpts from this book check out my highlights.
2.5 stars Older man younger woman steamy read with a little bit of the daddy thing !!! It was good and I liked it but I hate the daddy thing so one star down!
Meh I really tried because it had so much potential and body image of a man is an interesting idea but it just wasn't and i was bored.... I didn't feel the characters, didn't feel the connection or the attraction
3.5 stars - he’s her dads best friend, shes 18 and he’s 37. This one was much more readable, there weren’t any weird declarations it all seemed pretty normal for a whole love story crammed into 70 pages. It was hot, and he was obsessseeeddd with her and very protective which is always a plus.
This was a fun novella! But it's not my favorite big boy romance. I honestly love the other books she has written in this companion series way more. I was honestly just a little skeeved out that Murph kept secret pictures of his best friends daughter. That's just creepy to me.
I was looking for something quick to read and I though "why not?". It was quick and steamy, the age gap here is real, and involve some kinks. Also, Murph isn't the usual hot bodyguard/dad best friend that we usually see on books with a six pack and golden skin that when he walk the earth stop, and this is really nice, like I said in another review, I like to see "real man" in books.
