Catch & Conquer

Rate this book
Sometimes you need the bad guys to defeat the baddest guys.

I'm Mavis, Underworld Reformatory pencil-pusher, cat-shifter and big-sister to the only dragon shifter in the world.

I've never been much of a rule follower, but when my sister, Edie, disappears while on a secret mission, I'm willing to break them all to get her back. Even if that means letting loose the same supernatural prisoners I'm supposed to help keep behind bars.

I pick the most wily, tough, and just plain crazy prisoners to join my team. And now me and these yahoos gotta learn to work together or else I'm never gonna see my sister again.

Pixie! Incubus! And a bear shifter! Oh my! Find out what happens when a Supernatural Academy meets Suicide Squad!

Catch & Conquer (Mythverse #6) (Underworld Reformatory #1) by Demitria Lunetta, Marley Lynn, & Kate Karyus Quinn
Published December 2020
Publisher: Little Fish Publishing
Genre: Fantasy, Mystery

Catch & Conquer (previously called Squad Goals) is the sixth book in the Mythverse by Demitria Lunetta, Marley Lynn & Kate Karyus Quinn. I had not read the previous books and was easily able to read this as a standalone book.

Since I have read and loved the Down & Dirty Supernatural Cleaning Services series I loved getting a peak into the world before all of the things happened.

Let me start by saying this book is NSFW and that is part of what makes it awesome! The profanity used in this book naturally flows with the storyline and is 100% appropriate for the characters.
I absolutely loved this book!!! This was a funny, kinda dirty supernatural mystery!

I was definitely rooting for Mavis and her unlikely squad trying to save the day! I can't wait to read the rest of the series!

If you are looking for a funny, paranormal mystery, then this book is for you!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Worth it

I loved the first two series Mount Olympus Academy (MOA) & Amazon Academy (AA). I've read books & seen movies about Greek gods & Amazons. But I've never really been into books, movies or tv shows about prisons or reformatories. But considering it's from the same authors, I knew I was going to love it. And I wasn't wrong.

It was really interesting getting to know characters who were only side, minor or merely just mentioned in the other stories. Getting the 3d version of their personalities instead of 2d side-offs.

I'm not gonna spoil anything. So don't expect me to. To get the entire perspective, it's best to read the MOA then AA series before this. But you could read this, then go back to read the others. Though that way will spoil the surprises of the previous series.

This was an entertaining read. It was fun to go back into the world of the mythverse. This series is separate as it follows different characters though it is set in the same world and characters from Amazon Academy. I liked the cross over and it held extra benefit for me as I had read the Amazon Academy series. This series held my attention the entire time. I liked the sarcastic humor that is a major part of this book. I am looking forward to the next book as well.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Brilliant story kept me hooked throughout. Some of the language is not suitable for younger readers but older teenagers and above would live it. Enjoying the story and it doesn't effect the plot but At the beginning I felt slightly like I was missing something as I hadnt read The Olympus Academy series.
Strong characters, fully invested in them from the start without knowing back stories. Loved it and can't wait for the rest of the series.

I've read the other series, Mount Olympus Academy, and it was nice to go back into this world again!
I do recommend reading the Mount Olympus series first, otherwise this won't make much sense.

In this book, Mavis finds out her sister is missing and is determined to find her! I enjoyed this book as much as the others I've read! I can't wait to see where else this series will go!

I loved this addition to the Mythverse series! For this book and the next, we are seeing life through Mavis' eyes. It's a great way to get a different perspective, yet enjoy the same characters. Very refreshing to have a new voice to follow! The characters are wonderfully over-the-top weirdos. I'd go have a coffee with any of them.

Great pacing to an exciting story. I read this book as an ARC but also purchased it on Kindle because it is definitely one I will read again!

I’m new to this world, but what a fun concept for a series. Mavis works for an underground jail for supernaturals, and when her sister goes missing, she comes up with a crazy plan. With her merry band of misfits, nothing goes as planned, and it’s chaos at every turn. I am excited for the next book.

Amazing series

Wow this series is getting better and better! Sometimes by book 6 the story gets a bit long in the tooth but not this series. I have been spellbound from the first page. This is a must read!

I came into the Mythverse on this book and am not lost in the least. That being due to the fact it's an entirely different section of the same world. If that makes sense.

The pace is spot on and keeps you wanting to turn page after page. The characters are wildly humorous and so quirky you'll laugh until your belly hurts.

It's a one sitting read through and I can't wait until the next book! One click worthy wherever you shop.
