Je remercie les Éditions Ototo pour cette lecture. La petite faiseuse de livres est le manga par excellence si vous êtes accro aux livres ! Quand je le lis, c’est mon petit moment de plaisir. J‘aime retrouver la compagnie de Main à chaque fois !
Le dernier tome nous avait laissés sur une fin inquiétante au plus haut point ! En effet, le jeune Lutz qui accompagne continuellement Main lui a posé la question suivante : « dis-moi, tu es bien Main pas vrai ? ».
Eh oui, à force de commercer et de parler avec les adultes comme si elle en était une, le jeune garçon se pose des questions. Il peut comprendre beaucoup de choses, mais il trouve cela étrange qu’elle ait la capacité de discuter commerce ainsi avec des adultes, elle qui était enfermée chez elle jusqu’à il y a peu…
Dans ce tome, nous avançons enfin sur la fabrication de papier. Jusque-là, Main avait enchaîné les échecs. Mais maintenant qu’elle a l’aide d’un adulte qui s’intéresse à ce qu’elle veut fabriquer, elle a plus de moyens à sa disposition, ce qui rend la fabrication plus simple.
Ce manga est vraiment intéressant, car il arrive à nous tenir en haleine, à nous plonger dans l’histoire, seulement avec une jeune fille qui souhaite fabriquer du papier ! On a envie à chaque fois de découvrir si Main arrivera à atteindre son but.
En bref, ce tome nous fait faire un grand bond. Main à enfin avancée dans sa fabrication de papier, mais du coup, c’est maintenant que les choses sérieuses commencent. Je sens que le prochain tome nous apprendra bien des choses !

Será que dejé de leerlo en lo que conseguía éste y los restantes, pero volví a caer en una historia lenta, esteremos que en los demás libros mejore.

Le troisième tome nous laissait avec des questions plein la tête sur le nouvel univers de Maïn : quelle est la part de magie dans ce monde ? Pourquoi la fièvre de Maïn est liée à la magie ? Vont-ils enfin réussir à faire du papier ? Lutz va-t-il découvrir la vérité sur son amie ? De nombreuses questions mais peu de réponses, voilà ce qu’apporte ce quatrième volume.
Maïn et Lutz ont réussi à négocier avec Benno pour obtenir un financement, fabriquer du papier, et avoir une promesse d’embauche comme apprenti pour le garçon. Ils réussissent petit à petit leurs essais et nous font découvrir un peu plus d’éléments de leur monde, notamment un fruit envahissant qui se révèle plus utile qu’ils ne le pensaient. Mais tout cela met la puce à l’oreille de Lutz et la confrontation ne tarde pas : va-t-il accepter l’histoire de son amie ?
On voit ici une Maïn en proie au doute : doit-elle dire la vérité ? se laisser mourir ? continuer comme si de rien n’était ? J’ai trouvé la scène de la révélation d’une grande puissance, accentuée par les réflexions d’adultes de ces enfants obligés de grandir vite dans cet univers médiéval-fantastique. Ils grandissent d’autant plus vite qu’ils sont maintenant apprentis de Benno, ce marchand mystérieux qui semble en savoir beaucoup sur Maïn. J’aurai aimé en apprendre un peu plus sur cette magie qui la consume mais ce ne sera pas pour ce tome, peut-être le suivant ? Je pense que c’est ce mystère qui fera passer ce manga de sympathique à vraiment intéressant… et j’ai hâte !

I always feel like I'm missing some tags when I tag these.
As much as I'm not as fond of the manga's art style as the anime's or the light novel's, my only real complaint for this volume is the sort of dead-eyed stare Myne has on the cover. I get it was supposed to be a sort of change in mood to reflect the change in Myne's and Lutz's relationship, but... DEAD-EYED STARE.
The rest is fantastically competent, especially the technical elements! So it's a little sad that I can't justify the shelf space it's taking up (something that is quickly diminishing in my house, wonder why that is...?), but I would LOVE for someone else to find this series in a free library and ALSO fall in love with it! I mean, that's just what Myne would want, isn't it?
This volume also has my favourite sequence, the aforementioned change in their relationship (or, rather, the resolution of it). I knew my spouse and I were a great fit BECAUSE we could talk about literally anything, and Myne and Lutz have exactly that relationship now. Of course, neither my spouse nor I have a secret like being reincarnated with memories of our past lives (...that I know of?), but the point is, if Myne and Lutz can talk about that, and still be best buds, then that's an amazing thing to have!
There is also a bonus short story not in the light novels, about Zeg (who is Sieg in the other versions?), though it's mostly to show some of his perspective prior to meeting Myne and co. Plus, there is a very simple "board game"* spread that depicts Myne's life as Myne so far; Myne complains there are too many "rest" stops, and Lutz says that's on her. Ha!
As always, recommended for fans of the series; not really a good place to come into the series completely new (despite what I said about free libraries).

Volume 4 was very slow, with little progress in the story and quite a few frustrations for Myne.
This story is about a modern day young woman who is whisked back in time to medieval times. She finds herself in the body of a young girl, Myne. Because paper is expensive and books rare, Myne feels frustrated at the lack of options and yet feels driven to make her own paper and eventually write her own books.
Because Myne is often sickly, she is told to keep someone with her at all times in case she passes out. Lutz, her friend, agrees to help her. For the most part, he is patient and helpful. The first half of this volume they gather supplies to make paper, and then experiment making paper out of two different materials. They are able to make the paper, but it is either brittle or too hard.
Also, Lutz confronts Myne and asks who she is, since her knowledge is far beyond that of the original little Myne. She explains that a heat burned the other Myne up, and she fears she will die before she can accomplish her goals.
They take the paper to Benno, asking if they might sell the paper at the market. Myne also proposes to make flowered hair pins. Benno takes them to the Guildmaster to get a permit to sell their products. He demands Myne make a hair pin for his granddaughter, Freida. Myne and Lutz realize they have big tasks ahead.
While the story is very cute, I wonder about continuing a story that advances so slowly.

Un tome 4 riche en nouveaux éléments. Ca y est Maïn et Lutz ont enfin réussi, non sans mal, à créer du papier. La nouvelle identité de Maïn est découverte par Lutz. L'inscription auprès de la guilde commerçante est un brin mouvementée et Maïn propose de commercialiser un nouvel objet en plus du papier.
On en apprend davantage sur le fonctionnement de la ville, sur la géographie environnante et sur certains nobles.
La rencontre de fin de tome est particulièrement intrigante et donne envie d'aller lire le tome suivant.
Les graphismes des personnages sont toujours aussi mignons et les détails sur la fabrication du papier, aussi passionnants, pas mal d'éléments de contextualisation de l'univers, notamment en ce qui concerne le commerce et ça apporte un vrai plus à l'histoire.

Este volumen ha sido mucho más dinámico que los anteriores. La trama ha avanzado un montón, los personajes han evolucionado, y la intriga crece, cosa que hasta el final del tercer volumen no sentí especialmente. Además el dibujo sigue siendo precioso, claro, y los personajes adorables...
Sigo sin poder darle 5🌟 porque todavía me falta algo para que me encante: un poco más de emoción, que me llegue más la historia al corazón, quizás que la trama se complique un poco más...🤔 No sé si ese algo llegará porque es un manga súper infantil, pero vamos, sea como sea, me está gustando mucho y sin duda lo recomiendo, sobre todo a los más peques. ❤️❤️

A lot happened in volume 3...since it went from failed attempts at making a clay plate to make a book and being an apprentice in this volume! That's probably the most movement in the series which is good since some people will feel the first two volumes were moving too slow. This volume sees serious growth and opportunity for the main character, and I liked it a lot. I do wonder how the journey will continue but it was a pleasant read and a few chuckles and smiles along the way. Exactly what you want when reading a manga series like this one.

I'm ahead with the light novels now, so I already knew what was going on as I read the graphics, which was a huge help for me. It's more interesting to do it the other way, so I think I'll try to get ahead with these again. But it was interesting seeing Lutz figuring out what is going on with Myna, and seeing her tiptoe into the wider merchant world.

This is such a delightful series! Myne is now a few steps closer to making books which is her ultimate goal. She navigates through the merchant system and even gets registered to be a temporary member of the merchant guild. Her flower hairpins turn out to be something that will also bring her extra money. Go Myne and Lutz!

I love that Myne is on the way to seeing some of her dreams come true and that she has Lutz at her side. I'm so excited to see what next she will come up with and hopefully eventually see her dream of having books come true.
I'm also curious to learn more about what is ailing Myne and hopefully a cure can be found.

3.5, the beginning was making me not want to continue the series because the plot is just completing task after task. But the second half got more interesting and the characters make me laugh at times. I just wish there was more focus on the characters like there’s not much emotion happening sometimes. The tone is very dry most of the time.

M voy a arriesgar a decir que creo que este es el que más me ha gustado hasta ahora, ya que aparte de ver una gran evolución de los personajes, se nota que la historia va avanzando y la cosa va cogiendo, cada vez más, forma

Myne and Lutz's work pays off! So many adults give them the benefit of the doubt. Myne's dad has really grown on me. Lutz is so sharp, even while he feels less worthwhile than Myne. I'm ready for some new characters and goals!

i really love the short story at the end of this volume ! even though we don’t get to see zeg in the novel, it is interesting to see how myne’s ‘odd’ way of doing things affects the world around her.

This series is really growing on me!
Which is simultaneously a good and bad thing - good, because I already bought several volumes and it would be a shame to dislike it; and bad, because I did not buy all the volumes.
