March 23, 2022Stopped at like 4%. The writing was pretty cringe and the way "Daddy" just came outta left field.....💀 Shit gave me whiplash and then severe second-hand embarrassment.

The concepts in this book are interesting, but the execution was not my favorite.
To start with, I think this book was about 250 pages too long. There were a lot of sex scenes, but because there were so many, it got super repetitive, really fast. It also made for a story where I just felt like the angel and demon's only draw to Brianna was that they liked having sex with her. It seemed like that was literally their only goal. It didn't help that they spent like 2 and a half days with her before they started throwing around the word "love".
There was also a lack of real care with how Brianna treated Trey. Namely the fact that she was okay with leaving him overnight on short notice to be with these guys and then left the kid alone with the 2 guys without knowing anything real about them. I'm not even getting into how they gaslit her after she freaked out about their wings. In the grand scheme of things, repeatedly screwing a member of the race you planned to wipe out was the bigger issue.
I also hated 90% of Bri's dialogue.

DNF.
I found this on Booktok and was excited to start due to all the good comments in the video. Should have known it was friend hype or just a case of unintelligent folks who get excited over anything, but it's free so why not try it. UGH.
Too many grammar/syntax issues. Writing is really cringey and reads like amateur, teenage fanfic. This story needs a serious editor; the premise is pretty interesting and would be really hot if the author actually could write. Unfortunately, she can't.
One of these days, I'm going to find some IR smut that's actually well written and doesn't make me want to throw my kindle at the wall.

I got this on Kindle Unlimited, and by Chapter 4, I had purchased the paperback version and six other books by Smauggy Universe. I think that says it all, really.
This book was delightfully humorous. The banter between Luc and Gabe had me laughing out loud many times. The erotica was erotic-king. The drama was drama-ing and the emotions were emo-ting?
Luc and Gabe have such tunnel vision and naivety regarding humanity. The egocentric angel and demon let their hatred and ignorance for us cloud any sense they have.
I loved Brianna; her quieter personality reminded me of myself, so I felt so protective over her, especially given the trauma both she and her son have gone through.
There are many good points lightly touched upon regarding religion, humanity, race & society without the plot becoming an emotional and/or triggering burden to read. Not that this story is emotionless. There are some really touching scenes between the three main characters.
My only criticism is the word "daddy" was used multiple times during the erotic scenes. I just can't with that one....
I can't wait for the second book in this series. Brianna, Luc and Gabe are one of my fav throuples.
It looks like I am about to devour another authors entire series of books, num num yum.

Very Intriguing!!!
This was a very fascinating and scintillating story right from the start to the very end. These characters and events really pull you in, the dynamics of Brianna, Luc and Gabe was an interesting mix. You'll definitely be entertained with the antics of an Angel and the Devil and let's not forget the little scene stealer of the tiny mortal Trey whenever he makes an appearance. I really enjoyed the deeper meaning of the messages that were brought to attention with the upcoming apocalypse, a lot of truths in them. Given this book a try you will not be disappointed. Highly recommend!!! Please please please say there will be a book 2.

Forced myself to finish this book. Found it on book tok and figured I would give it a try. The first half of the book was quite repetitive and poorly written. The dialogue between Gabe and Luc was very elementary and sounded like a high schooler had written it. Their conversations had no depth and bored me. The second half of the book showed some promise with the plot but there were many holes. The book was also about 200 pages longer than it had to be. I love smut as much as the next girl but this book really has no depth. Wouldn’t read again

I really liked it, I wasn't expecting the ending and I don't know how to feel about it yet, I really wanted them to have that conversation. It was enjoyable enough, I feel like some points could have been explored more. I did like it very much tho. Though I liked it, I doubt I'll read it again. I love Smauggy and her books but I'd say out of all that I've read thus far "The Marvelous 3 Saga" and "Daddy's Home" this is my least favorite

I’m not sure how I feel about this one. So it was interesting. Had a weird concept and was 100 percent something I hadn’t seen before. I think the social commentary was definitely there though I’m not sure if it always made the most sense. Both Gabe and luc were funny and I think that the plot of the book was okay. In all I would say that the men do some questionable shit but the book was hot and cute. The heroines kid is also like my favorite I love him.

Wow
While I'm use to Smauggy's wild and over the top writing I have to admit I was floored by this book. Brianna, Luc and Gabe was pure fire together. The banter between Luc and Gabe was hilarious especially when Trey was added. Didn't expect the ending and looking forward to what's next!

Different type of love story
Well, this was an unexpected treasure. This was a FB recommendation. I didn't know what to expect, but the book was absolutely wonderful. The comradery between the H's was refreshing. You have to read it to understand. I don't want to give details and spoil it for everyone..😏

Pulls you in
This story is unpredictable, which is great. A lot of sex, not surprising but a rather good story line as well. There is a segment that drags (2nd revelation of who and what Gabe and Luc are and then the segment after that) but then it picks up again. A little cliff hanger that hopefully has a followup book.

Perfect
I discovered Smauggy not too long ago and I'm so glad I did. This book had a bit of everything that makes for a great story. One thing I'm very appreciative about this author is that her leading ladies are unambiguous Black women, not a size 2 and are extremely authentic. Looking forward to reading more from her.

End of the world
I diggin this story. Love the plot cheering for characters and storyline grab by the throat. I love how Luc and Gab accept Bri just the way she was all her mortal flaws. Please don’t kill Bri off she is important to this story. They need her. PLEASE HEAL BRIANNA PLEASE!!!!! When are you releasing book 2???? Keep up good work you awesome author.

This would have been a 5-star read if it didn't end on a cliffy and the sequel wasn't exclusively on Vella 😤
Loved the banter between Gabe and Luc, the sexy times were 🥵, and having a black lead who doesn't have a perfect body is 😚🤌🏾 chefs kiss. This dragged a tiny bit and the ending felt a bit rushed but still, this was a fun read.

Can I give more stars than 5?!
This was too good! I wasn’t expecting a lot of what happened which is what I really love in a book. The MWM relationship was such a beautiful balance and love all the topics it tackled. And the ending?! Oh my gosh! I can’t wait to see what else happens in this series.

You know what I shouldn’t be surprised
You would think after reading Smauggy’s work before that I would be prepared for where we were going. I indeed was not. It’s fast pace, erotic, and funny watching an Angel struggle with learning human ways 🤣. The story is solid now in off to read about this plot twist that just happened.

Loved it!! As with the other book I reviewed, I think it was a little too long. The heroes hidden agenda made me mad and the ending also made me a little mad. I am ready to see what happens next though

Well written and a great set of characters,but the whole ending the world thing either made me snicker or upset they were overlooking Bri's perspective. Couldn't win on that so it ended up being a dnf for me

I really liked this book. This author is starting to become favorite for me. I don't like that it ends on a cliff hanger but I'm glad there Will be a follow up. A great read and I would definitely recommend.
