The action is complex and hard to follow if not read back to back, so a brief summary below serves as a reference.

With his unassuming wardrobe and cane, Luciano Leone looks like any other grandfather might look. Once he steps into his role as Don Leone, head of the Leone family, it is clear he has earned his position. He is ruthless but strategic in his approach to running the family. His word goes unchallenged.

From book one:

There had been trouble when the Chinese attempted to move in years ago, but a relative peace existed amongst the various criminal elements of Philadelphia since. The Russian Bratva have their own territory, but both Don Leone and Maksim Volkov know that peace is more profitable for both sides because war draws attention from the authorities. But tensions are ignited when a low-life from Dante’s territory foolishly pulls a robbery on one of Vlas Volkov’s clubs.

This is Dante and Aida’s story. Dante and Aida navigate their feelings while a new war brews with the Volkovs.

From book two:

Two years have passed since Dante won new territory – Gray’s Ferry and Eastwick – and selflessly proposed to Don Leone that Steven, his trusted Lieutenant and long time friend, be promoted to Capo. Don gave his blessing and gave Gray’s Ferry to Steven, who has since worked to build and strengthen his team to ensure his control. But the time has come for him to make a name for himself and show that he is a capable leader in his own right. He decides to take aim at the Celtic Club.

This is Steven and Colleen’s story. Steven and Colleen clash over family and loyalty while a new war brews with the Celtic Club.

In book three:

The story opens sometime after Steven and Colleen have married. The Russians remain weakened. Maksim Volkov, their leader, has a disgraced son living in Chicago. Their organization has lost territory. And now Maksim’s leadership is being challenged from within. One of his men has rebelled and the writing is on the wall. Don Leone sees a timely opportunity in his rival’s difficulties, and he calls home his son Vincent from New York, where he had been sent to establish a footing for the Leone Crime Family eight years ago. Don Leone enlists Vincent’s help in a proposed alliance with the Russians. It is the Don’s belief that such an alliance will cement his and Maksim’s mutual power. By helping Maksim retain power, it helps the Leone Family because if the Russians fold and the Leone Family assumes too much power, it invites increased attention from the authorities. A little rivalry is better in the long run. Vincent disagrees with his father, as usual. He feels that his father is underestimating he Russians. There is nothing to prevent them from regrouping and starting a war down the road, but at age seventy, perhaps the Don isn’t terribly concerned about that eventuality.

This is Vincent and Mona’s story. In this story, Don’ Leone’s son and future heir is introduced to the series, as is a small New York operation.

From book four:

Two years have passed since the Jalisco were weakened, but they still won’t leave Philly. Angered about the Leone Family’s alliance with the Russians and being replaced with Steven’s supplier out of New York, they don’t want to give up. And as the most powerful Mexican cartel south of the border, they have the resources to continuously send in replacements. They are angry and desperate at this point. If they don’t get a win soon, they will need to pack up and leave for good.

Clair hates the mafia. Her father was the brother of Don Leone of Philadelphia, while her mother comes from the Riva family of Chicago. Her mother’s estranged brother Fazio has been a major underboss in Chicago for years. That is, until now. Clair finds her self sequestered in a Leone Family safe house against her will when her Uncle Fazio dies and decides to leave his millions and his Chicago properties to her. And according to Don Leone, that makes her a target of the Jalisco. Luca, Lieutenant for Capo Steven Bianco, is asked by Don Leone to watch over Clair until legal matters are settled.

This is Luca and Clair’s story. Their romance is about a mafia heiress and the lieutenant assigned to keep her out of danger.

From book five:

Things haven’t been going well for Don Leone as of late. His mansion was shot up and half burned down, and the reconstruction is a huge mess. To top it all off, there is a new player in town and Don Leone is not happy. Don Borghi is a famous mob name in New York, but he has decided to make Philadelphia his new home. He has a daughter in town that happens to be unprotected – an easy target and the perfect warning to keep Borghi in check. Nothing personal – just business. Dante, who now runs nearly all of west Philly, has been ordered to facilitate the transaction. As a made man, he follows orders. The parties finally come to an agreement in which Don Borghi has permission to take Eastwick and use the Leones’ cartel contact, and they agree to a profit-sharing scheme that keeps everyone happy.

This is Tanner and Elise’s story. Hitman Tanner and Elise Borghi cross paths on the brink of a new turf war in Philly as Don Borghi intends to make inroads on Don Leone’s territory.


Note that the Volkov Crime Family series follows this series and the action continues seamlessly in Philadelphia with many of the same major players. It begins with Bend for Him.

These stories are nicely written and plot-driven. The plots are complex. Each book builds upon the next. The characters are nicely developed. The stories are written first person. The POV alternates between the hero and heroine. I rate this book four stars.

Dante went to deal with an infraction by one of his underlings and was shaken when he was introduced to Aida and the way she made him feel. Aida had lived a hard life because of her useless father, but she soon realised after meeting Dante, that she was meant to have him in her life. Aida and Dante’s story is an exciting and action-packed read, that will have you on the edge of your seat as you turn the pages.

This book is incredible and has lots twists, that will make it difficult for you to put the book down. It will grab your attention from the first page until the last and leave you wanting more. It is the first book in the Leone Crime Family Series, which introduces you to the different characters and sets the bar for the pleasure you will experience when you read this series.

An Accident Meant To Be ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is a truly enjoyable mafia treat, that will keep you excited, as you continue reading through the story. The arguments and passion between Steven and Colleen was smoking hot, which made the story much more entertaining and captivating. The battles between the Celtic Club and The Leone Family described in this book, will keep you on your toes, as Steven and Colleen both face their pasts and collaborate to overcome the obstacles in their path. You will not be disappointed when you read this book, as I couldn't put it down once I started reading it.

Reading this book will take you through so many emotions, that you will need a glass of wine or a hot chocolate to settle your nerves. The story is a beautifully written work of art.

Luca and Clair’s story is the fourth book in the series and it is just as captivating as the first three. The action, sizzling intimate moments, banter between the characters and camaraderie between ‘The Family’, makes the story come alive and entertaining. Clair’s strength and perseverance, combined with Luca’s determination, makes them a force to be reckoned with. Make sure you have a ‘Do No Disturb’ sign next to you before you start reading the book, because you won’t want to be disturbed once you start reading.

A Risk Worth Taking ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
All I can say is ‘HOLY SCHMOLLY’. Tanner is the best hired assassin, whose reputation precedes him. Elise is his mark, but she is an innocent young woman with a target on her back. The contract goes sideways after they meet and Tanner knowns he shouldn’t get involved with her as there would be consequences for him, however, the heart wants what the heart wants. This is a mesmerising mafia romance story, that is filled with enough suspense, steam, angst, plenty of action and sizzling romance, that I was on tenterhooks as I continued to read the book. I have read all the books in ‘The Leone Family Saga’ and after you read this book, you will agree that it is just as astounding as the others.

I had missed BB Hamel’s Mafia bad boy stories. Love the emotional rollercoaster they bring with the complex situations where right or wrong is defined by circumstances. I like these bad boys who reflect on their lives and put new twists on it. I read all the stories individually and voluntarily reviewed the box set.
Obsessed with his Bride
As a Capo, Dante has to keep control of everything he was in charge of, so he resolves his problems as he knows how to, with violence. Aida didn’t like his businesses, but Dante was a force of nature she was lose to. His passion and something else she discovered of herself, made her come over to the dark side and change her ways. Liked the intensity of Aida and Dante’s feelings toward each other and their commitment. Strong characters, action-packed, drama, suspense, lot of violence and passion.

Capo Steven Bianco was level-headed, but Colleen was his Achilles heel. Loved the action, the suspense, the romance, the passion, the detailed narrations and descriptions with so much intensity that kept me enthralled waiting for the worst. Can’t help myself, I am a fan of dramatic and exciting situations and this story got me. As a mafia bad boy, I think that Steven was better than Dante. Good how he was dealing with Colleen and her response to his lover ways.

As a clever journalist, Mona was looking for a good story that would take her out of anonymity and the Mafia was certainly a hit. Getting involved with Vince Leone and the risk and danger around him was exciting and she found herself in deep but even with her danger upon her she found herself wanting more. I am fascinated by these stories of Mafia bad boys with great intensity and strong and ruthless characters but with a loyal and generous heart at heart. The story has much suspense, which intensifies in each chapter and exciting narrations and descriptions that make me feel the action and violence in which the characters live and the burning passion that gets hold of them. Dante and Steven make an appearance to add more excitement to the story.

As a Mafia lieutenant Luca has always done what he was ordered to do and has not failed his Capo. Skilled with a weapon and well capable in dealing with violence, protecting Don Leone's niece was not a task he had expected. Clair was at risk and the Jaliscos were moving fast and threatening a great blow. Clair had learned from a young age that the Mafia was bad, that it had taken a lot from her and that everything related to it had to be despised and hated. But now that she was a target, with a mobster protecting her and with her heart in danger, she had to think about what she really cared about and make decisions. The chemistry between Clair and Luca was strong and Clair was struggling with her feelings and emotions, but Luca was different. What a crossroads! Knocked Up by the Killer
For Elise, run from her mafia father had not been enough, danger still followed her. As an independent hitman Tanner got the mark and something more important. The Borghi and the Leone's fight for power caught a well-known assassin and an innocent woman in the middle. Interesting Tanner’s clever thinking, his insight and risking planning. Liked how Elise was struggling with her beliefs, her sense of independence and right thing to do. As the last book of the Leone series this shows a twist from the assassin’s POV. Action, suspense, strong emotions, drama, violence and passion.

This is the first book in the Leone Crime family series, this wasn't my favorite book by BB Hamel, I thought it was slow and dragged in places. An interesting view for a mafia romance, Dante was a sexy bad boy, hot headed and had a nose for trouble. Aida was wishy washy

This is an entertaining story, a good way to spend a couple of hours. Steven and Colleen meet when she gets injured during the crossfire. He is attracted to her and doesn't want harm to come to her because of who her family are.
Quick to read, easy to follow, no cliffhangers.. 

Tempted by the Sinner
This is the third book in the Leone Crime Family stories, it can be read as a standalone story...
Vince is having Mona shadow him as part of an article she wants to write covering the mafia.... interesting storyline, likable characters with plenty of chemistry, drama and action that keeps your interest.

Protected by the Monster
This is the fourth book in this series, it can be read as a standalone story.
Luca is asked by Don Leone to babysit is niece as she's in danger after getting a huge inheritance by her uncle. Clair has grown up with her mom saying how terrible all mafia men are. Now, she has to rely on Luca to keep her safe from harm.
Well-written and fast-paced, packed with plenty of drama and action. I really liked Luca unfortunately I was annoyed with Clair most of time and her mother was really the icing on the cake.... 

Knocked Up by the Killer
This is the final book in the Leone Crime Family series, it can be read as a standalone story.
Tanner is an Independent Contractor that the Leone Crime Family have hired to kill Elise as her father Don Borghi and he's wanting to takeover the the Leone area and she's now collateral damage. Tanner can't get the beauty off his mind and is determined to protect her from her father and the Leone family.
Well-written story, fast-paced and packed with plenty of drama, intrigue, action and sizzling chemistry. Wonderful story.

Each is packed full of action, passion, grit, darkness, suspense, heat, and heart. I found myself unable to walk away from this set and will be reading them again and again. Taken by Her Prince is a mafia story that has a bit of everything. I liked the intensity of the action, the violence (not overly graphic) and the romance mixed with a darker story line. I was really happy with the romance as I really felt these two together. 4 stars

Tempted by the Sinner was a great story that will leave the reader turning the pages for find out more. There is intensity and danger as well as a hint of a mystery and romance of course. I think this one was the most explosive for me and I really loved the balance between romance and action. 4.5 stars

Protected by the Monster is a story that is full of greed, gluttony, and passion. I really enjoyed the characters in this story as well as the base emotions that pulled me into the story and had me falling in love with the main alpha! 3.75 stars

Knocked Up by the Killer is exactly what is sounds like from the title and the passion and heat as well as the push and pull really made this read enjoyable. I liked the dirty feeling within the story as well as the alpha aspects of the main man. Enjoyable. 3.5 stars

I would recommend this boxed set to any reader looking for an escape from life for a few hours as well as mafia lovers, action addicts and any reader looking for romance. Overall boxed set rating is 4 stars.

Awesome book 2- Steven a capo for the Leone family finds that colleen colley was shot and feels it's his job to protect her ,as he is taking down her family.Awesome story . Book3- Mona Rizzo wants to write the next great gangster story so she gets with Vincent Leone capo and son to the Leone crime family. This story takes her into the crime family what a Awesome story. Book 4-When Clair Riva inheritance money from her uncle fazio her other uncle luciano the Don of the Leone crime family steps in to protect her from the jalisco cartel and puts Luca a capo to protect her. Awesome story. I love how these to learn to trust each other. Book5-Tanner is a contract killer and is hired by the Leone crime family to kill Elise the daughter to another crime family but while on a date with her he finds he can't do it and goes to protect her instead. Loved this story awesome.

I am speechless! This was such a wonderment that I am still reeling! Utterly AMAZED and adequately SATISFIED! Oh Miss Hamel you are one of my favorites and I can honestly say that you NEVER disappoint! I am so thankful that you put this series in a box set and furthermore so happy that I read and am able to review for you! This was not the typical Mafia romance read. It is exquisitely delivered and one that I HIGHLY recommend to all! The Leone Crime family is filled with dashing swoon worthy men who fall perilously in love with women who can not only stand on their won but cleverly and thoroughly make these men stronger! This is one of the best reading experiences I have had the pleasure of ingesting; it will carry me through when I run into a reading slump for I will most definitely be revisiting it. Get ready to fall in LUST to the most piercing men that you will have the pleasure of meeting! I loved this box set and I know you will too!

I love that BB has out all my fav books in one boxset. This boxset includes the five books from the Leone Crime Family series. These books are quite captivating and compelling. They will keep your interest and you can’t help but go from one to the next. The author has written other mafia reads but this is about the Philly group. The books include: Obsessed with His Bride; Taken by Her Prince; Tempted by the Sinner; Protected by the Monster; and, Knocked Up by the Killer.

These are the men of the mafia, the backbone of the infamous Leone crime family. Also, they are the men you hate to love (and their women), but can't help yourself falling for them one by one. Their stories are compelling and kept me glued to the books snd flipping pages crazily. I couldn't put it down. The women are full of sass and strong- no wilting violets in the bunch. Each storyline drew me in and the characters kept me reading because I was invested in their outcomes and needed more. Good as standalones, better as a binge read! I previously read these separately but I reread and binged the set. Amazing! I highly recommend this set.

All five of these books are filled with darkness, danger, drama, tension, violence, emotion, action and desire. With storylines that are gritty, engaging and exciting, characters that are deeply compelling and complex and lots of steamy heat to raise your temperature, you'll be eager to keep turning pages even when you should be doing other things. LOL A terrific collection for any reader but a real treat for those that favor darker reads and mafia tales. This is my frank, freely posted review.

I loved💘 it

I really loved reading this series. The Leone Crime family has it all, action, drama, suspense, lust,kidnapping, sex, love❤, romance, passion, and a whole lot more of mafia mayhem.
These guys are Alpha men who take what they want. The plot, chemistry between them and their women are strong and out of this world! Those scenes are super scorching HOT🔥🔥!

Excellent series on a mafia organization
It's a really good ensemble with varied stories, character crossovers, a dark side at times, but always scorching.
I liked the way the author manages to endear every criminal when each of them is far from morally acceptable, and yet it works in every story.

Obsessed with his bride

I love a great mafia story and this was a great read. Dante and Aida are exactly perfect for each other. This was a great story with like able characters that I really enjoyed.

Taken by her prince

This was a good story. If you love a good mafia read then you will enjoy this read. Steven & Colleen are an interesting couple that everyone will enjoy.

Tempted by the sinner

This was an interesting story. Vince meets him match when he meets Mona. Never did Vince think he would get involved with a journalist. What started as an arrangement between Vince & Mona became so much more. Great story with amazing characters. Another great read by BB.


Protected by the monster

I was so excited that this was Luca’s story. It was a really enjoyable read. Luca has a job to protect the Don’s niece, but it won’t be easy. You know that they will end up together but it was an enjoyable story with like able characters.

Knocked up by the killer

I did enjoy this read. Tanner is the best at being a hit man but when one job changes everything. Elise & Tanner are great together and I really enjoyed their story.

I love mafia crime families. This box set series consists of 5 books, "Obsessed with his Bride," "Taken by her Prince," "Tempted by the Sinner," Protected by the Monster," and Knocked Up by the Killer." All these men are notorious mafia, and their women are under their "protection," good or bad. I really enjoy how much the females hold power over their men - even though the men will never admit it. This is a fantastic series and I highly recommend it. I did receive an arc for anhonest review.
