She is back, she is pissed, and she has people with her the likes the Regime has never faced.
The problem? The Regime is considerably more capable than the Chancellor has acted.
Dreth and Meligorn support each other, but the Regime is not stupid. Can the Regime keep the two alien navies separated?
Back on Earth, John is being presented as the Apostle. Can he persuade enough of the existing groups to matter for Stephanie’s hopeful return to Earth?
Or will the Regime capture him?
All Amaratne can do is have John try.
Jaleck’s best Admiral is asking for a leave of absence without discussing the why. Will his absence doom Dreth in the moment of need?
Not if Stephanie has anything to add to the discussion.
I skipped the first three books in this series so I’m sure there’s quite a bit to catch up on but it wasn’t too hard to get right into the story.
Whilst I appreciate the new characters in the series, I do have a soft spot for Stephanie and company from the Federal Histories series which is why I wasn’t bothered about skipping the first few books. This was a good follow up compared to the last book and I hope it progresses from here.
I was hooked on this series from the first book! With each new book you become more and more vested in each of the characters. The books are like potato chips... you can't stop with just one, you want more and more! You find yourself falling in love with the ships personalities along with wanting to read more of the cats antics!!! Both series are well written and I find myself rereading each book while waiting for the new one to be released. Good on you Michael! Thanks you for all the hours of enjoyment and entertainment!!
Strong female lead. Abundance of mayhem & hilarity. Potty mouths. Unexpected ends to characters that you may have been invested in. If at least two of the four appeal to you, definitely pick up book 1. (Note to author: "the feel of silk"? There was all kinds of wrong with this situation. The least of which was not the sensation of honey/ginger tea going through my sinuses.)
This is a powerful series, but I wasn’t expecting to be teary within the first chapter! There is so much happening in the different worlds to defeat the Regime. As well as being action-packed and full of humour, there’s a lot of emotions as well. Another excellent story in the series and I can’t wait for book 5 to come out. Sadly there will only be one more after that...
A great story with one surprise after another. John has really become super powerful , so much that he can clean the soil by himself. Now he has more help in his fight with the Regime that even surprised the him and his allies when he appeared. The Morgan's kicks but when her people are hurt. The next book will be awesome.
The series has now brought the Witch to the forefront of the story, as she now has met John, the apostle, and those left on Earth. She and her allies are now in full conflict with the Regime and its adherents. Magic and warriors will rule. Can't wait for the next book.
Some wise guy said that you can’t dig your way out of a hole. Guess they never considered tunneling up through the side. Anyway the apostle is trying to connect with the underground in France, but stupidity and Regime propaganda have influenced the people there. Stephanie finds a way to help John and his crew. A good read.
How hypocritical can one being be?!!! The Regime's CIO is a witch but he doesn't consider other witches human. I suppose he thinks that he's a God, right?
Cryo-storage, cloning, and super drednoughts bigger than Tempe! You don't go halvesies do you Mike?
And Ivy and Ka have met and the universe will never be the same!
Another fantastic book from Michael Anderle, the main characters are brilliant, well though out, engaging, and I would love to be with them, fighting and laughing as they meander through these tales. Gary from Devon UK.
Like all the previous this is a smooth ride. Not a huge amount of action but the characters relate well and story rolls along. Hate to have to wait until April for the next episode.
It is wonderful to see characters grow and evolve. I wish we had more of John and ivy but the cast of characters was too large for that. I can not wait to see where the story takes us.
I think there is enough action to satisfy the most bloodthirsty among us. Heroes pop up when needed and the Hooligans get to do their thing. An extremely satisfying book.
Great mix of space and Earth action as both forces begin to communicate and fight more. Not sure how they fit so much anticipation and action into 2 more books but it looks very enticing.
Characters continue to grow and change. Old characters reintroduced and some team changes. Plot seems pretty straightforward the way of getting to its eventual end so far has been interesting.
I am glad this follow up series came out to continue to expand the witch universe as it is really fun. I really like the characters and there is always lots of action, space based and on the ground. I recommend this series and this book.
Well, the Regime truly understands what's headed there way now. The Fresh have more allies. The Regime has more secrets though. The earth-based group is getting some very much needed help. The Regime should really be scared.......
As the Earth Gov. Attacks the planet's of the Dreth and Meligorn John and Ivy with the admiral, Ted and Remy travel to Dreth through a portal. They meet Stephanie and the hooligans who will return to Earth with them.
I loved that John And Ivy meet Steph's team after being brutally trained by their avatars in the virtual world. I hope they get to train with them in person. I'm so glad I came to the series a little late so i don't have to wait to read the 5th book!
Love this series! It's a sort of spin off from Witch of the Federation, which incidentally, is one of my very favourite series! I loved the concept, I loved the story, I loved the plot and I loved the characters! Fabulous series
Intergalactic adventure and fascist bad guys, that need a damn good kicking. I look forward to the next one 😀and I will try not to read it in one night.
