giving this episode 5stars for the number of camping foods that just kept goin- pizza, toasted nuts cheese and chips wd beer, yakitori wd soju, tomato yakisoba, oyakonomiyaki, minestrone.. the Mizugaki camping was a food trip! 😋⛺️🏕️🔥⛰️

Beztroski kemping #12 rozpoczyna się od krótkiego, ale dość intensywnego (przynajmniej dla bohaterek) wstępu, w którym dziewczyny wraz z nauczycielką wybierają się na dystrybucję darmowego drewna. Jak dają coś za darmo to się korzysta, jest to prawda objawiona obowiązująca w każdym zakątku świata. Do pełni szczęścia przygotowania stosownego opału na przyszłość, potrzebna jest odrobina ciężkiej pracy. W ruch pójdą więc piły i siekiery, na szczęście obędzie się bez ran i strat w ludziach. Wesołe „rąbanie” staje się również doskonałym wstępem do właściwej treści tomiku, czyli kolejnej wyprawy. Tym razem przybiera ona jednak dość intrygującą formę.

Cała wyprawa ukazana jest tutaj w formie retrospekcji przeszłości. Dziewczyny z Kółka pod Chmurką wspominają swój wyjazd na kemping na górę Mizugaki. Ważną częścią całej opowieści jest Nadeshiko, która często łamie czwartą ścianę i staje się komentatorem ukazanych wydarzeń. Wspomnienia (szczególnie te dobre) często nie zawsze dokładnie odzwierciedlają rzeczywistość. Dla czytelnika oznacza to tylko jedno – pokaźną dawkę dobrego humoru. Obok niego jak zawsze w tytule znalazły się ciekawe informacje „turystyczne”, odrobina emocji, spora porcja świetnej kempingowej rozrywki i oczywiście masa pysznego jedzonka.

Mamy więc tutaj do czynienia z jeszcze większą dawką sprawdzonej treści znanej z wcześniejszych tomów. Prostota opowieści wymieszana z humorem i obyczajowymi wątkami, jak na razie sprawdza się doskonale i niepotrzebne są tutaj daleko idące zmiany.

The OEC has finally gotten their hands on some of that free firewood they've heard about. While they chop it up and set it in storage to dry, Chiaki, Inuko, and Ena share about the camping adventure they went on while Rin and Nadeshiko were in the Ooi River region. With a little creative liberties, they retell their trip to northern Yamanashi.

I like the new twist of having the girls relate their trip in flashback and adding silly fictional elements. It was a fun read. The artwork has moments of stunning brilliance. The cooking sections made me hungry. And it is always a relaxing time spent with the OEC.

Notes on content: I don't remember any swearing. No sexual content. No violence. Their teacher supervisor is quickly chugging alcohol after they get camp set up (the girls pity/roll their eyes at her...she isn't painted in a good light).

I loved volume 12 of Laid-Back Camp. The perfect mix of cozy cooking and recipes. Plus the flashback camping trip that the rest of the group went on when Nadesiko and Rin were camping in volume 11 was kinda hilarious.

Looking forward to volume 13. I wonder if the OEC will actually get new members this year? I’d hate for the group dynamic to change but Aki-Chan would probably enjoy making the new kids chip wood for days haha.

The creative narrative makes this volume really special. Aki, Aoi and Ena are going camping but the camping trip is presented as a flashback where the girls are changing some scenes in a very entertaining way. This is on of the funniest camp in this series so far. And we all need a Nadeshiko reaction cam.

Nadeshiko is back from her camping trip on the Ooi River and finds out that Ena, Aki, Inuko, and Toba-sensei went on their own camping trip. This camping trip is told to Nadeshiko (with some wobbly flashbacks) as the OEC prepares firewood.

I'm sorry but this one is boring, overall an okay read.
Loveee all the camp grub's recipes, still adore those cute girls and their friendship, but the half true half fake story is kinda felt too much, not a fun time for me.
