‘BULLSEYE’ is the first full length book in the ‘Monsters Within’ duet by Monica James. Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.'

How much would you sacrifice to avenge your best friend/your brother's death? When revenge ran fluidly through Bulls veins nothing else mattered! It's all he tasted. It's all he could see. Nothing will stand in his way! Not even the girl who he grows attached to.

Pic-Monkey-Image

This was such a gritty, raw, emotional tale, Bulls life was literally ripped away from him before he was even a man, incarcerated for twelve grueling years as he sat away brewing his revenge, he's a dark tortured soul. The day he's released is the day he sets things in motion.

When a job is offered to him at The Pink Oyster things were slotting into place better than he would've thought. He can't be distracted. He only has one path in life and that is taking out the men who deserve what they have coming for them.

But he never counted on Lily, he doesn't understand the feelings that she evokes in him, he's never felt them before.

Nail biting twists and turns had me glued to my ipad throughout!! Can not wait for the next book in this duet!!

You know that saying, "Two wrongs don't make a right."?

Well, sometimes that's a bunch of bullshit.

Bull's brother is senselessly and brutally murdered by a group of men while Bull's held down and forced to watch every horrifying second up close.

After that night, Bull wants nothing more from life than vengeance against the monsters responsible for his brother's death.

Unfortunately, he's thrown into jail before he can finish the job, so for twelve long years, he plots his revenge and waits for another chance to finish what he started.

Freshly released from prison, Bull picks up right where he left off when he accepts a job at a local strip club with the idea that his targets may frequent the establishment. It's there that he runs into a giant distraction in the form of a gorgeous dancer named Lily.

Lily and Bull have instant chemistry, but knowing he needs to keep his eye on the prize,
Bull refuses to acknowledge it. He doesn't want to hurt her, and he knows that's all he's capable of doing.

For his sake and hers, he tries to push her away, but fate keeps pulling them together at every turn.

Turns out, fate's a cruel bitch.

Bullseye is the first book in The Monsters Within duet by Monica James, and after that ending, I'm dying to read the second! If you're a fan of this author's work, this book is a must read! It's gritty, action-packed, violent, and steamy. Basically, everything you could want in a dark romantic suspense novel!

The writing is amazing as usual. The murder scene is so graphic and real that it twisted up my insides. My stomach churned, and my heart hurt for a life cut short and a boy whose life changed forever in one devastating night.

Dark romance and romantic suspense fans, this one's for you!

This is me. A coldhearted bastard. A depraved animal. My story doesn’t end with Prince Charming saving the princess and living happily ever after with her because…I killed the fucking prince.

Holy hell, Monica James. I'm equal parts terrified and in awe of your author brain right now. Because this book? It was all sorts of f*cked up. And I. FREAKING. LOVED. IT.

You know what I love about a good dark romance? It's that feeling that it gives you. You know the one? When you're reading and you have this feeling in the pit of your stomach. When your gut churns and your throat gets tight and you're almost scared to turn the page for fear of what happens next?
I want to watch the world burn with me. But the monster inside me has always lingered. It was just waiting for the right moment to slither out of hell.

This book was dark. I mean it was DARK. What I really loved about it is that Monica wasn't afraid to go there. She takes the reader out of their comfort zone. Vividly. And keeps you at the edge of your seat until the end. I remember reading All The Pretty Things trilogy and thinking even though it was categorized as dark, it never got there. I loved those books, don't get me wrong, but I was waiting for that...edge...that darker stories had. I got it with this one. Holy hell, y'all, it's like James finally cut her teeth on dark romance with Saint and she came out swinging with Bullseye.

After serving twelve years for murder, Bullseye is out and only has one thing on his mind. Revenge. His mission is simple, find the men responsible for his greatest pain, and make them pay. He has no intention of going back to prison and no delusions of surviving his mission. He's not the boy that went into prison. He's a man with a dark void. Haunted by demons, blood, and pain. He's a shell of a man and the only thing that drives him is vengeance and death.

Setting his plan in motion, he ends up working at a strip club where he meets Tiger Lily. Tiger is a complication that he can't afford. She's beautiful and innocent, even if she stirs all his demons to come out and play.
I’m possessing her, owning her, and she lets me.

Their relationship is a complex game of push and pull, hate and lust, pain and desire. Bullseye is vicious at times and downright cold at the others, but beneath his cruel exterior beats the heart of a man that yearns for things he can't have.

Tiger is dealing with demons of her own past. She's a single mom struggling to make ends meet for her and her son. Bullseye is everything that she doesn't need, but there's just something about him that calls to her.

This was an absolute page turner, filed with twists and turns and all of the chaos. It was dark, gritty, and suspenseful. I was glued to the pages from the beginning, but as the secrets begin to unravel, I was completely hooked. And then that ending happened and I was about ready to climb the walls in my need for the next book. If you're looking for a dark romance with an anti-hero that you'll love to hate almost as much as you'll hate to love, you need to meet Bullseye.

Sometimes I read a book or attempt to read a book and I am left speechless.

This is one of those times. Originally I wasn’t going to review this but I did receive an ARC in exchange for an honest review so here goes.

Monica, I loved your All The Pretty Things series, it was really well written and I always recommend it.
But SIS......every other book I attempted to read from you was a DNF or I hated. I’m beginning to think that ATPT was a one time thing! I’m sitting here trying to figure out HOW you actually published this. Didn’t your Beta readers speak up? Did you reread this? What was the reason?? * inserts Cardi B voice* WHAT WAS THE REASON??????

I got to 57% and I can’t finish this. 10% in I was ready to DNF but I decided to try and push through because I wanted it to get better.

Meet Bullseye, he spent the last 12 years in jail because he killed a guy who had something to do with his brother’s death.
He went in a "punk" and apparently came out this hardcore, juiced up looking dude.
He starts to work at a strip club as a bouncer/ accountant. Yes you read it correctly *rolls eyes*.

There he meets Lily.
A stripper who smells like bubble gum, she doesn’t really want to be a stripper but she has no other choice because she’s a single mom. She’s been keeping to herself and focusing on her kid and not dating for the past couple years but as soon as she sees him it’s InstaRomance!

Bull is so cringe worthy, there is nothing like able about him and the way in which he treats Lilly is fucking disgusting. Lily is a bland character and I could not connect with her. I was hoping that the storyline would of been enough to keep me interested but It wasn’t.The relationship is toxic and it makes no sense whatsoever.
I’m so tired of reading stupid ass books!!!

Audio review dnf @ 13%

Dual male/female pov story with only a female narrator...not my favorite kind of audiobook, but there are some very talented female narrators that carry it off very well. Too bad that's not the case here. Not only does the narrator lack the attituded of a 6'4 tall, 30-year-old ex-con male, she makes ZERO effort to even sound male. In what audio world is that the least bit appealing???!!!

I absolutely love Monica James' dark romances, so when I saw she had a new duet coming out, and after seeing that gorgeous cover, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book.

This book starts the day that Bullseye gets released from jail and I was immediately intrigued by his character. We knew that he was out for revenge, but we don't know what that revenge was until about 20% into the book. I love myself a damaged hero and Bullseye is as damaged as they come. I loved how we were slowly given information about his past and those flashbacks were just heartbreaking to read. I was actually rooting for Bullseye to get his revenge even though it was totally illegal and brutal.

When it came to the romance, I did enjoy how Lily and Bullseye kind of circled each other until they couldn't resist their attraction anymore. I was intrigued by Lily and wished we got more of her as a mom. I feel like we only got to know her with Bullseye or at her two jobs (one as a dance teacher and one as a stripper), but we didn't see a lot of her actually with her son, which was a big part of her identity. While the ending definitely left me wanting book two ASAP, I did see that twist coming super early into the book, which took this book down a star for me. Other than that, though, I really enjoyed this romance and how both characters were trying to ignore their feelings because of the baggage they both carry.

As usual, Monica James pulled me in with her dark and twisted romance. She knows how to create dark but utterly seductive bad boys that you can't help but love. I did not want to put this book down and am eagerly anticipating the next book!

Wow! This is good! Really good. Now I am on the edge of my seat to get my hand on second book. I have no idea how Miss James going to resolved everything.

The story of romance and mafia blends perfectly in this book. Every twist and turn are arranged so perfectly. It is now a tangles of web. Betrayal, lies and love hitting at every direction on every page.

Bravo.

"So much is going on behind those mismatched eyes, eyes I can’t stop looking into because it seems as though he’s battling both good and bad. Light and dark. I wonder which side will eventually win."

"There isn’t a hero in me. And that’s what someone like Tiger deserves.
Like a butterfly, she is so beautiful, but all I want to do is tear off her wings."

I am a bit confused by my feelings regarding this book. Was highly praised and I had equally high expectations which were met and...not so much. Don't get me wrong, I liked it, it's kinda addictive and hard to put down once you start reading it, but something felt like missing for me and I can't really put my finger on it. Maybe was a bit unrealistic ..I don't know.

Bull was a very troubled man, he witnessed his brother being murdered by 4 boys at a very young age, and he tried to get revenge for this but didn't had time to accomplish it because he went to prison for 12 years . On his first day being out he meets TigerLily (Lily) at a striptease club where he also gets a job. From here on things go south.

He is so set on his revenge,on him being a monster and his demons, that is completely taken aback by the pull he has for this woman. Of course nothing comes easy..so their relationship or whatever that was... gets in the way of his plans and everything he set in motion.

Now , I predicted the twist quite early, which annoyed me to be honest, by 50% I was only expecting the moment when all will explode.

I don't think either Bull nor Lily were quite normal.. both had issues and demons and maybe that's why they fit together and their chemistry was so good.I was expecting their sexy times to be more dark actually..more explosive considering was quite a built up for that moment.
And I would have probably liked Lily to have a bit more spine and more integrity in some moments... I didn't disliked her, just some of her actions.

"I was never a saint, always a sinner. And my Tiger is the same."

Anyhow..the last chapter left me wanting more that's for sure...so I will probably read the next one to see how things will unfold.

This dark romance features an unapologetic antihero that experienced a heartbreaking beginning. He grew up too fast after making mistakes that had serious consequences. He’s raw, intense, and bent on revenge.

Lily is a woman marked by a hard lonely life. She’s been at the mercy of the men in her life yet something draws her to Bull.

While the plot had some parts that were predictable and it was quite involved, I liked that the characters were consistent throughout the story. Their prose and actions were congruent with their established personalities, even if it wasn’t always good. The relationship didn’t experience too much in the way of development. However, this is a duet so there’s definitely time to work in strengthening that aspect of the story.

I am looking forward to seeing what’s next for these two.

WOW! What a ride! This book, Bullseye, had me holding my breath the entire time. This multi-layered, twisted tale starts off with a blaze of fire making your heart beat wildly in anticipation of what's to come. It's dark. It's gritty. It's raw. It's completely addicting. The characters, the plot and the intensity of feels... all of it was off the charts.

Bull (Cody) is a complex and angry man. A man shrouded in a heavy, painful past that leads him to a life of vengeance. His demons haunt him, making him unapologetically savage at times. He is hard. He is cold. He is brutal. But under all of that seething rage is a cesspool of bleeding grief and pain. It's impossible not to feel for him. You hurt for all that he's endured.

For twelve years he plotted the perfect plan to exact revenge on the men who tore his family apart. But meeting Tiger (Lily) certainly wasn't part of the plan. She is beautiful, sassy and fierce, and she evokes in him feelings that he's never felt before. She breathes life back into his cold black heart. But will she become collateral damage in his quest for retribution?

The plot is fast-paced and thrilling. Monica truly writes with an intensity that is riveting. She is an immensely talented author. I was glued to every word, every page, devouring it as quickly yet as slowly as possible. And that ending left me reeling. I most definitely need the next book stat. I can't wait to see how the rest of their story unfolds. 5 stars for Bull, Tiger and Bullseye!

Let me just make it clear that I really liked both the characters up to a certain point. That point was when they went through the different stages of sex. Let me just start from the beginning okay?

So we have our H who just got out of prison for murder.

Now he is out and he decides to go to this small strip club where he meets our MG lilly who is a famous stripper. He instantly feels an attraction towards her but he wants to stay clear of her as he has a plan for revenge and he doesn’t want any distractions. So he tries to stay clear of her but Lilly see’s something beneath is angry/heartless facade and decides to befriend him. Also apparently he is the only man she has ever met who hasn’t treated her like a tool.

Lilly is a single mother. Her baby dad was her first love and he left her out of the blue one day. She had a brother but even he left her. So she is all alone supporting herself and her son who is dyslexic. She works two jobs, morning as ballet teacher and at night a stripper.

Till this point of the story even though I felt like the plot was slow/boring I was enjoying the connection between Lilly and Bull because bull had no idea how to react to her. He had been in jail for 12 years so he basically does not know how to socialize.

Now Bull does warn her that I’m not a forever guy, if she want him to fuck her, bound her he will do it. But Love l? he doesn’t do that. She agreed she didn’t want more. But then Bull realizes she is a huge inconvenience or a distraction for him so he basically says mean things to her while fucking her with his fingers. “No one loves you, that’s why everyone has left you” etc etc.

So Lilly gets angry and is like never speak to me again. And the club she is currently working in (where Bull is a bodyguard/handyman/finance guy) she decides to leave and go work for some Carlos dude at his club which is more successful and also now as she needs more money due to some circumstances.

Now my main issue. Imagine a guy degrading you so much while finger fucking you. And then he one day shows up at your club. And is like “you were dancing on stage for money not because you love dancing, so are you carlos whore now? Has be bought you” and she slaps him and kisses him, manhandles him and he lets her because this is apparently her way of gaining control. Then she is giving him a fucking hand job and he is pretending not to be interested in it so that she tells him why she left the previous club.

Does that make any sense to you? Lmao if you are wondering if this really works it does because she saw he was not interested and started crying and spilling out the reason she left the club and why she needs more money......... yup. And then they fuck and after they are done she looks at him like she is happy and what does he do? Pulls his pants up and runs out of the room like his ass was on fire. You think being embarrassed twice should be enough for a woman to stay clear of a man right? Nope wrong.

“It’s been one week since Bull came into work, pissed me off beyond words, yet again, and then gave me the best orgasm of my life. I know it was wrong. I mean, I was angry with him. I always am. But something so wrong felt so right, and I can’t explain why that is.
He ran from the room because he was afraid. I should have been mad, but I wasn’t. By leaving that way, he showed me he feels whatever this is, too. He has pushed me away this entire time, and I need to know why.”

After this they it was a snooze fest with Bull planning on killing the 3 remaining killers and fishing information about the other two anonymous killers and the leader jaws.

Okay can we just talk about this specific scene. So when Lilly saw Bull kill someone she freaked out and ran away from him and when he chased after her and told her his story her reply was
“You’re not a cold-blooded murderer.”
“Then what am I?” he questions, begging me to shed light on this.
“You’re human,” I conclude, using his words back at him

”You’re here with a purpose. While most are stumbling through life, you know what you want. Yes, it’s not conventional, but it shows your loyalty, your strength to those you love.”

Okay so when this scene is happening, suddenly someone shows up. Lilly’s brother who also ends up being of the guys who killed bulls brother (jaws the leader). Bull is going to kill him but jaws is like if you hurt me ill kill my nephew bla bla so now you now work for me and help me get rid of my competition.

And when Bull goes and tells all this to lilly she is like please don’t kill my brother he is my flesh and blood and obviously he said no. So they breakup or whatever and the book ends.

And now I’m cursing at myself for not knowing this was a series and not a stand alone book.

I have been dying to read something - ANYTHING - by Monica James for a while now. When this bad boy popped up on my KindleUnlimited, I knew I had to read it.

Bullseye has had a hard life. As a teenager, he witnessed his brother get brutally murdered. He felt partially responsible because he wasn't able to stop it. This caused him to become estranged from his parents and become obsessed with getting revenge on his brother's attackers. He was able to kill one person involved with his brother's death before being thrown in jail for his murder.

Now Bull is out prison and ready to finish what he started. Lucky for him, he was able to land a job at a strip club; a club where he thinks some of his targets may visit. That is where he meets her.

“Like a butterfly, she is so beautiful, but all I want to do is tear off her wings.”

Bull is close to finally getting the revenge he longs for when, somehow, he finds himself falling for Lily. Now he's forced to choose - revenge or love. Or is he? Fate has a funny way of messing with you.

Lucky for me…she can’t break what’s already broken. I am no longer a man because the world is a jungle, and we’re all just animals—ready to tear one another apart.

DUN-DUN-DUN!

While this book is good, it didn't wow me. The plot and the action in the book is terrific and well-written. The characters, however, were a different story. Bull and Lily didn't scream couple to me - ever. I could understand why they were intrigued by each other given their back stories and devastatingly good looks. They were also walking contradictions. I feel like every action they made had to have a reason and some of the reasoning didn't match their character.

Overall, I did enjoy the story and will be reading Blowback. I have to know how it ends for Bull and Lily.

Holy.. fucking... shit.

I am not sure where to begin with this review. I've read this twice now and I'm still sitting here completely speechless and trying to find the right words to say. This book? THIS FUCKING BOOK?... Holy fuck. I knew going into this that the author was about to rip out my soul and eat it for lunch... But I didn't even expect what I got.

Bullseye was something... Oh, fuck was he something. He is the definition of darkness and terror. A depraved animal and bad to the bone. Not a man you would want to fuck with. Ice cold and pure evil and I fucking loved him. I was and am obsessed with him. He's after revenge and will stop at nothing until he gets it.

Lily was feisty, firing, with a flame inside her that burned so bright. She was strong and knew how to carry herself. She's the type to try and help others before she helps herself. She is selfless to a fault. Her life hasn't been easy and she is working her ass off to be the best she can be.

When fate brings Bullseye into Lily's life... The chemistry between the two is undeniable and addictive. Lily should be scared of this man. She should be running in the other direction but she's drawn to this man and he is drawn to her too. Lily wants to show him that there is more to him than getting revenge. These two had me squirming in my seat. The chemistry, passion, and the heat... Woah... They were fire and ice. I honestly cannot describe the feelings I was getting when it came to these two.

I would have to say this is Monica's best work to date and that is hard for me to say because I love each book writes. But this? This wasn't just a book or a start to an epic duet. It was an intense, all-consuming, addictive and insane start to an epic love story that I know is about to destroy me. The deeper I get into this plot, the more I feel like I'm losing my mind, my morals. It had me second-guessing all of that. How can I love a character so cold and evil? He was the devil... But I know that's exactly what the author does and wants us to do.

I AM AT THIS AUTHORS MERCY RIGHT NOW!!!

Fucking loved it, and I cannot wait for book two. It cannot come soon enough!

This is a MUST READ!

6 Stars!!!

Bull is fresh out of a twelve year stint in prison for something traumatic that happened in his teenage years that changed his life forever. Now he lives and breathes revenge. Convinced he’s a horrible person, and comfortable in it, he’ll do whatever he needs to meet his end goal. Beginning his revenge is to get in the strip club scene to find who he’s looking for. Obtaining a job as a bouncer, he meets TigerLily, a single mom who “dances” to financially take care of her preteen son. TigerLily, Tiger for short, feels instantly drawn to Bull, trying to overlook Bull’s shortcomings and get him to return her affections.

I really, really had to let go to enjoy this book. The fact that Bull is who he is, and Tiger is a mom, was just crazy to me. Who would get with someone like Bull when theres a child involved?!? I don’t care how strong the connection is. At times their relationship seemed ridiculous, especially with how Bull treats Tiger like shit. But... if I allow myself to let go and remember the fact that this is a fictional story, then I can say that I enjoyed reading it. Bull keeps saying that he’s a horrible person, and he does do some horrible things, but I’m still holding out waiting for him to become the person he could’ve been, hoping that he’ll treat Tiger better. Maybe after he gets his revenge?

After the bombshell that was that cliffhanger ending, I’m excited to pick up book two to see where Bull’s crazy ass is going to take us, and how he’ll deal with the shit situation he finds himself in.

Marvelous. Wild. Intense. Unputtable down.

description

I received this arc in exchange for an honest review.

What an insane and wild read! I want to thank Monica for finishing this first part without a cliffhanger. However, it does not take away my urge of knowing how this story will end. I can't wait to read it!

Cody, had only one thing in mind. Revenge. At fifteen he lost, heartbreakingly, the most important person in his life. Uff, be prepared to read one of the most heartbreaking parts in his life. After fourteen years, his thirst for revenge has not been quenched. It just started and will not stop. Cody it’s in the past, now he is Bullseye and will make everyone who hurt him pay for it. Bull is ruthless, determined, rude, tough, maybe a monster. In its path he meets Lily. She teaches ballet during the day, but at night she becomes an exotic dancer for a living. Lily is the perfect combination for Bull. She is strong, bold, stunning. Both together are an explosive, dangerous and hot combination. Together they will create a spider web difficult to escape. This is the kind of story that makes you ask how there can be a happily ever after. Will there be one?

This story sucked me from the beginning. I connected with the characters and was dragged inside of it in a way that I couldn't stop reading. It is a very well written with strong characters and a great plot, with unexpected turns that will leave you with your mouth open.

Warning: This book contains graphic violence.

Highly recommended!

Dark, raw, violent ... yet soul touching and emotional

A pair of motorcycle boots, size thirteen. A Harley-Davidson T-shirt. A pair of blue jeans ripped in both knees. A black hoodie. A leather wallet containing eighty-five dollars. And a silver necklace with a St. Christopher medallion. “Here is two hundred and fifty dollars, a map, and three condoms. You got someone picking you up?"

These are the opening lines of a book that will devour you, it will eat you alive, your emotions won’t know how to react to some of the things that Monica James throws at you. If you have read her ALL THE PRETTY THINGS series and loved it, you ain’t seen nothing yet. BULLSEYE is dark, raw, gripping, gritty, it will have you mesmerised and wanting more and more with each page that you read.

Monica is known for writing strong and sometimes tormented characters, however Bull is like no one you have ever met before. He is tortured by an event, a tragedy, that he witnessed at the age of fifteen. At seventeen he earnt his name "Bullseye" and now at almost thirty he is out to extract revenge on the remaining three of four men who destroyed his life. Bull was made up of so many layers, I think that is what draws the reader to him. He's tortured, tormented, protective, gentle and caring (when he wants to be), broken hearted (but he'll never admit that), he's an arsehole, a bad boy and filthy mouthed. The one thing he MOST DEFINITELY is ... swoonworthily attractive. Monica's description of him and the tattoos that cover him ... simply delectable. The cover featuring Andrew England is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT.

"This is me. A coldhearted bastard. A depraved animal. My story doesn't end with Prince Charming saving the princess and living happily ever after with her because ... I killed the fucking prince."

Lily "Tiger" Hope ... well, what a feisty, strong, sassy heroine she is. She is the perfect foil for Bull. Lily has not had the easiest of life, being constantly abandoned by those she loves. The moment she sees Bull she feels drawn to him, however she fights the magnetic pull as much as she can. Lily is the total opposite to Bull, she's sweet, wholesome (in her own way), loving, she's also willing to stand up for herself and put Bull back into his place. Lily is also very protective of those she loves. Bull scares her, but not in the way that you think, he has the ability to bring things out in her that even she didn't know existed.

I've felt this undeniable pull from the first moment I saw him in the club. He guards secrets - deep, dark ones - yet that only lures me in deeper.

Bull and Lily are a fatal attraction. Their chemistry is instant and insanely hot. It's not the chemistry that they need to be fearful of though ... it is the feelings and emotions that are being awakened. Are they going to be able to traverse their relationship or are there extenuating circumstances that are bound to tear them apart?

"There," he pants, freeing my throat and wrists. "I fucking kissed you first." Yes he did, and now, I am in so much trouble.

Monica has written a superb beginning to this epic story. It twists and turns in so many ways that you will be continually saying to yourself "WTF?" Nothing is simple or easy, in fact everything is extremely complicated. The more you get into this story, the more you realise there is a lot more going on than you initially thought. This is a dark romance, but it is also full of mystery and suspense. What are lies and what is the truth?

"The knuckle tattoos are a reminder of what I am. A lone wolf, ready to tear apart anything that stands in my way."

BULLSEYE is a true masterpiece, one that will have you gripping the edge of your seat. It is not a light read, it is heavy, disturbing, passionate, intense and heartbreakingly sad. It is also extremely addictive and impossible to put down.

... his eyes are the perfect analogy to how I feel. I like and hate him all in the same breath; both sides fighting for domination over the other. The jury is still out on which side will win.

I have read all of Monica's published books to date, and this one by far is her very best. It ends on a twist that I never saw coming. Hearts will be broken and vengeance will be more than declared. This was one almighty cliffhanger that will leave you chomping at the bit for the next instalment.

Oh, did I mention ... Bull is simply DIVINE.

Get it now and prepare for a dirty, filthy, bloodthirsty ride.

⭐️ 4.5 "Tortured Soul" Stars ⭐️
This book... wow! It was so different than what I was expecting, but in a very good way! Poignant, obscure, twisted and riveting this read was difficult to put down. Monica James created an enigmatic, tortured hero in Bull and a fiery heroine in Lily; such multi-faceted protagonists. I found them utterly fascinating! The evolution of these characters throughout the story was incredible.

I personally didn’t find Bullseye that dark! Not in a typical way, anyway! I felt the darkness mostly resided inside Bull. This man is severely haunted by his past, full of demons and thirsty for revenge. The way he thinks and plans his vengeance is a true obsession and addicting to read. He has no mercy for the men that changed his life. It was fascinating to enter his mind and discover his deepest thoughts. He’s always been set on killing these guys, but meeting Lily brings conflicting feelings inside him. She gradually makes him feel, after being so cold for years.

Lily “Tiger” is the perfect girl for Bull with her sassy attitude. She doesn’t let Bull plays with her that easily and has a backbone. Under all her this strong front though, she’s also fragile and struggling working hard to support her son and herself. At the same time it shows how resilient and independent she is. Her attraction to Bull is instant and she sees under the aloof persona he displays; the good under all the bad.

They’re both tortured by a past full of demons. The sizzling intensity of every single one of their meeting was amazing, the slow burn transfixing, the sinful sensuality breathtaking! Their simmering lust only peaked to an inferno of passion that left me conquered by this couple!

The intrigue was exciting and the secrets had me invested. I’ll admit that I suspected from the beginning the big reveal, so it wasn’t that much of a surprise, but it’s the feels I got from these moments that made this book fantastic. I’m definitely really curious about the completion of Bull and Tiger’s story! I need book two asap of The Monsters Within Duet ASAP!

Bloodlust and revenge drive my demons, and all they want to do is cause pain because misery loves company. I want to watch the world burn with me. But the monster inside me has always lingered. It was just waiting for the right moment to slither out of hell.

Ok, breathe. I need to calm the hell down because even though it’s been 2 days since I finished Bullseye, I’ve just been looking back through the 100’s of quotes I highlighted and now I’m all hot and bothered again! 😂

Bull. This man. He is dark, dangerous, revenge driven, full of pain and demons, he can’t see the good in himself but HOLY HELL did I love him. I just want to hug him!

Like a butterfly, she is so beautiful, but all I want to do is tear off her wings.

Lily. Her life is has been hard but all she’s ever done is put other people first, to help them and work her ass off. When fate brings Bull into her place of work, sparks fly. She should be afraid of him.

His darkness dances with mine.

She should want to run in the other direction. But we all know that some girls are sucked in by the devil. They feed off of the monsters and that’s exactly what Lily did with Bull. She saw his worth and tried to make him realise he was more than his revenge.

Monica’s writing was beautiful, captivating and I just couldn’t read fast enough. Yes I figured out the twist at the end but in no way did that detract from the book or my enjoyment.

Bullseye is dark, it’s gritty, it’s full of twists and turns and OMG moments. If you have triggers then please read the trigger warning before going in as there are some quite graphic scenes that I loved (because I’m fucked up 😂) but some others may not enjoy.

Be prepared for Monica to fuck you over with that cliffy though... 😂

The Queen of dark romances has once again given us an incredible gripping, terrible emotional and brutal story.
A story that starts without hope and ends exactly the same way. This book will play with your mind, emotions and feelings and will wreck you completely. Holly sh*t 😱 I'm all over the place and don't know how to describe this wreaking emotional havoc story.
Brace yourself for the hurricane that's this story.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Bull is the incarnation of a bad and heartless criminal after a tragedy that changed his entire life.
He is out for revenge and no one and nothing can stop him. At least until he meets Tigerlily. He questions his emotions, which he thought he had lost in the past. He has a plan and the plan does not include a woman.
To bad because fate has other plans 🤭
Lily is a badass and a no nonsense woman. She has an agenda and men are not on it.
She does what she has to do to survive and has no time for distractions. Until she meets Bull. And Bull is more than just a distraction. He is like a magnet that doesn't let her stay away. His fierce, brutal and strange behavior doesn't change a thing.
This book is unbelievable exciting, dramatic, gripping, unpredictable and hot as hell - steamy.
Don't expect a HEA in this dark and hopeless world. But maybe in the second Bullseye book, but who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️ we are talking about Monica James here, so everything is possible. Unfortunately, the cliffhanger gave us no hope or indication either 🤦🏻‍♀️
Monica you're killing me with this ending 😭
I can't wait to read the second book in April 🤩 Hurry up!!!

That warning though ... only enticed me more!

WARNING: This is the point of no return because now, it’s time you forgo what’s left of your soul.

WOW!!! What a rush! What a read!!! Monica James took my body, heart, and mind on a high-octane dance with danger, dominating me with the beautifully broken BULLSEYE, a book that blasted into me with a force I never saw coming, but one I felt everywhere.

The slow burn of a build-up.
The palpable push and pull.
The thrilling and toe-curling tension.
The dance with danger.
I was on edge—my heart racing the whole time reading in anticipation of how this deliciously dark adventure was going to unfold. An epic battle of dark and light.

I like and hate him all in the same breath.

Darkness and light that the tiger and the bull bravely battle together. Tiger, the beautiful, vibrant, and witty heroine and Bull, the unabashedly handsome, bad-to-the-bone anti-hero, are the perfect match. Both beautiful and broken souls seek to become whole. Together, this heroine and hero COMBUSTED, and I felt every spark of their connection course through me. I LOVED this anti-hero and the heroine who were fated together.

Her darkness dances with mine.

Gritty, gripping, hot, and heart-pounding, Bullseye seduces with smolder, sin, and soul, as it dances in darkness. With its deliciously dark theme, fast-paced plot spiked with unexpected twists and terror, gripping and witty writing, and a captivating pair of protagonists with a palpable pull, Monica James’ masterfully-written tale ticks off every box on a dark romance lover’s wish list. Words leap off the pages, painted in vivid detail, daring you to notice, daring you to not feel them.

”I’m going to break you.”

“I want you to.”

I FELT EVERY WORD ... I FELT EVERYTHING, relishing every moment of pain and pleasure in this slow burn that rages into an inferno of heat, hope, heaven and hell. I was a GONER—so WONDERFULLY WRECKED and so MASTERFULLY MARKED by Bullseye. Hook. Line. Sinker.

This isn’t a story where the heroine changes the villain into a hero.

A MUST-MEET DELICIOUSLY DARK ROMANCE!!!

★★★★★★REVIEW★★★★★★
.
RATING:
.
Okay, let me first catch my breath. 𝙊𝙪𝙪𝙛 !!
It’s been a while since I’ve read something dark now, then 𝑩𝒖𝒍𝒍𝒔𝒆𝒚𝒆 was out and I had to read it.
Best decision EVER!!
.
𝑩𝒖𝒍𝒍𝒔𝒆𝒚𝒆 was one of those books once you start reading you can never put down. Literally. .
𝑪𝒐𝒅𝒚'𝒔 world was flipped upside down when he was only 15 years old. He saw his brother getting killed right in front of his eyes. And since then, he had only one thing in mind. 𝘼𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙗𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧’𝙨 𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝. 2 years later, he was faced with one of the four boys who took part in his brother’s murder. He killed him. After 12 years being in prison for murder, his thirst for revenge is far from being quenched. Now he’s no longer 𝑪𝒐𝒅𝒚 𝑩𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒑, that boy died 14 years ago. Now he is 𝑩𝒖𝒍𝒍𝒔𝒆𝒚𝒆.
.
"𝙾𝚗𝚕𝚢 𝚘𝚗𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚔𝚎𝚙𝚝 𝚖𝚎 𝚐𝚘𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚘𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚒𝚗𝚜𝚒𝚍𝚎, 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚠𝚊𝚜 𝚛𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚗𝚐𝚎. 𝙰𝚗𝚍 𝚗𝚘𝚠 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝙸’𝚖 𝚘𝚞𝚝…𝚋𝚞𝚛𝚗, 𝚖𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚏𝚞𝚌𝚔𝚎𝚛𝚜, 𝚋𝚞𝚛𝚗."
.
They say love is unpredictable. It is found when its least expected.
𝑩𝒖𝒍𝒍𝒔𝒆𝒚𝒆 didn’t plan for commitment let alone love. But 𝑳𝒊𝒍𝒚 came with her pirouettes and casted a spell on him. A teacher of ballet during the day, and an exotic dancer at night. She is 𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙚, 𝙗𝙤𝙡𝙙, 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙪𝙡. A woman after his 𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩. .
"𝙻𝚒𝚔𝚎 𝚊 𝚋𝚞𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚏𝚕𝚢, 𝚜𝚑𝚎 𝚒𝚜 𝚜𝚘 𝚋𝚎𝚊𝚞𝚝𝚒𝚏𝚞𝚕, 𝚋𝚞𝚝 𝚊𝚕𝚕 𝙸 𝚠𝚊𝚗𝚝 𝚝𝚘 𝚍𝚘 𝚒𝚜 𝚝𝚎𝚊𝚛 𝚘𝚏𝚏 𝚑𝚎𝚛 𝚠𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚜."
.
Throughout the story, they keep dancing around each other. A deadly tango dance. I loved how. 𝑩𝒖𝒍𝒍𝒔𝒆𝒚𝒆 started to get attached to her, how he lets his guard down when ever she’s around.
But will there be a happily ever after in their story?? Can they beat the demons of their past??
.
"𝙼𝚢 𝚜𝚝𝚘𝚛𝚢 𝚍𝚘𝚎𝚜𝚗’𝚝 𝚎𝚗𝚍 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝙿𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚌𝚎 𝙲𝚑𝚊𝚛𝚖𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚜𝚊𝚟𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚙𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚌𝚎𝚜𝚜 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚕𝚒𝚟𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚙𝚒𝚕𝚢 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛 𝚊𝚏𝚝𝚎𝚛 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚑𝚎𝚛 𝚋𝚎𝚌𝚊𝚞𝚜𝚎…𝙸 𝚔𝚒𝚕𝚕𝚎𝚍 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚏𝚞𝚌𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚙𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚌𝚎"

BLOWACK: THE MONSTERS WITHIN DUET BOOK 2 spoiler-free review

I'm enjoying this far too much, the handing out of Lana Tropico gifs HAHA
description

"In the smoke they can hear me coming
If you were me, and I was you
I'd get out of my way."

In My Feelings – Lana Del Rey

What’s this book about? (I'm trying to give as little spoilers as possible)
Bull wants revenge and he won’t let anyone derail him from his path to the darkest depths of hell… And then along came Lily.

This is my first Monica James read. And now I’m hooked and I want more. The promo campaign built up HIGH EXPECTATIONS for me, especially since I had never read James before. I’m more than pleased to announce that this book rocked me like a hurricane.

I had created a theory in my mind when I saw the trailer and all the promo material and to be fully honest, half of the stuff I thought would happen WERE NOWHERE TO BE SEEN. After the first couple of chapters, I reflected on what I had just read and I was like: HELL YEAH, THIS IS GOING TO BE ONE HELL OF A RIDE! Bull captured my attention from page ONE. He’s anti-social, weird and on a mission. I LOVED HIM. I love myself an anti-hero like Bull. His backstory is full of hurt and trauma. He’s the type of hero who’s dark as hell, but there’s something charming (CALL ME WEIRD BUT THERE WAS SOMETHING INDISPUTABLY CHARMING ABOUT THIS MAN, I DARE YOU TO FIGHT ME ON THIS) about him and everyone BUT HIM sees it. Splendid. Bull had undeniable chemistry with everyone, from Tigers, Venuses to kitties. I felt the desperation in the characters’ actions through the author’s writing and also because it was set in the city that it was set in. I’m not going to say which city because I’m not sure if that counts as a spoiler. To me, the city was another aspect of the book that had me a 100% sold on it - I’ve never read a romance let alone a Dark Romance be written about that city. Mr. Mathers prepared me for Bullseye in my teenager years LOL.
The dialogue is snappy, sassy and fast and furious. This is a thorough Dark Romance, but there are certain moments in the novel in which I LAUGHED SO HARD. Bull and Lily’s miscommunication had me IN STITCHES. Before all hell broke loose, in the lighter moments (as light as it could’ve been, considering Bull’s plans), I found myself belting out Bad Romance by Lady Gaga while reading (I’M A FREE B.TCH, BABYYYY!!!!). There were plenty of song mentions in the novel and I just had myself a party while reading BECAUSE THIS STORY WAS JUST SO EXTRAORDINARILY GLORIOUS.

description

I’m usually a lead-girl focus type of reviewer, but here, I had to break my tradition because BULL WAS A FANTASTIC MALE LEAD. I cannot wait, I REPEAT, I CANNOT WAIT for the sequel. SEE YOU IN HELL FOR THE SEQUEL, FOLKS! Pour some sugar on that tea!
Let’s move on to Lily, now, shall we? She was connected to a number of plot twists that I did NOT see coming. Ferocious, wild, possessive (I LOVE A POSSESSIVE GURL!) and as determined to SURVIVE as Bull is determined to seek revenge. She and Bull were some sort of Yin and Yang and they fit each other perfectly. She’s had a rough life, yet she didn’t seem broken to me. She was a fighter through and through, managing her responsibilities like a badass. I can’t say much else about her because she’s dripping in spoilers, our lead girl. She’s not stupid, Lily. I think she was very well aware that Bull couldn’t be her SUPERMAN or anyone’s superman for that matter (is that a reference to a song by a certain man from THAT city, author? HEHE).
At the end of Bullseye, you’ll feel all the FEELS. I immediately signed up for the sequel promo etc because Bullseye promo was immense fun to be a part of. I am patiently waiting on the continuation of this story because I have the slightest assumption that it’s going to be explosive. I couldn’t read anything else after I finished this and I felt so HAPPY (when a book is this good, I feel happy, NO MATTER THE AMOUNT OF DRAMA OR CLIFFHANGER LOL) that this book was such an exceptional read.

*I apologize for the extensive length of this review. LOL*

IMEANWTFACTUALLYJUSTHAPPENED

I feel like every book I read from this author leaves me feeling like I'm a having a nervous breakdown. I'm not even fucking kidding. The emoshhh of it all.

Just saying now this book is a masterpiece. I'm not even going to draw it out because it makes no sense I'll just be straight up and say this book is everything your never knew you needed. Yes there is some triggers in here for those who are sensitive to certain subjects so do your research if that's you. It's dark romance so there is absolutely dark subjects in here.

If you're still here and want to read my rambles.. please carry on.

Bullseye is so multidimensional. It's not just dark romance in its stereotypical form. A complete masterfully woven storyline that brings out so much emotion. So many things are unknown it's riveting. I was engrossed from the first line of the first page hanging on to every word like an addict on the hunt for their next fix. Every page waiting, wanting.. NEEDING more. It unraveled slowly pacing itself, teasing us. The never ending nerve searing sexual chemistry. The heart wrenching revelations. The positively explosive chemistry between bull and Lilly. Anger, betrayals, distrust and all consuming passion is a lethal combination. There wasn't one moment in this book where my heart wasn't pounding. Not a minute to sit and stew on what was happening because it was all going on. It's like emotional whiplash . I felt EVERYTHING.

Bull and Lilly are both so fucking complex I could dig for days and still never get near to all they have to give. Bull is broken in a way that can't be fixed. He's dark, dangerous, devious and delicious without even trying.

This is who I am. Don't try and fix me because I was broken long ago"

Lilly is that ray of sunshine on a cold miserable day. She's strong, resilient, self aware and sweet. Even after everything she's been through.. she is still good.

"I don't want Prince Charming. In case you haven't noticed, I'm not the princess who needs rescuing."

Don't mistake me saying that for them having a glorious relationship because that is definitely not the case. She tips his crazy scales whilst he makes her question everything.

They don't have a balance because quite frankly they are fucking explosive together. To the point of danger. But they also give eachother that fight that they so desperately need. There's a very fine line between love and hate and sometimes your not sure which one is wining with these two.

This book is just raw. It cuts deep in ways you won't see coming making you feel things you didn't know you could feel all at once. It's all consuming quite literally. Suspenseful, gripping, awe inspiring, intense, filthy, gutwrenchingly sad and passionate. It will make your nerve endings tingle, Your hairs stand up and your heart pound harder than ever.

"I never expected to feel...""Feel what?" I whisper, licking my lips. He inhales, releasing his hand over my heart. "Feel ... anything," he clarifies sincerely, which touches me in ways it shouldn't. "Thank you."

And then.. just like that.. it will spit you out feeling all kinds of mind fucked left wondering what the actual fuck just happened and why!. Why the fuck do I have to wait YEARS for the conclusion. That cliffy is the bitch of all bitches. Did I mention I detest cliffhangers? I do. I'm that sad cow that waits for a whole series to be wrote before reading it because I can't deal with waiting. I'm not emotionally stable for this shit.

So I'm just going to leave this here before I slip up because lord knows I'm a rambling crazy lady.

If you didn't get it from everything I just said then I'll say it again. If you're a fan of dark romance you'll love this. If you're not a fan but also aren't easily triggered you will also love this because it's so much more that just dark romance. And if you want a taste of something different, then this is definitely the place to start my friends.

“It’s as if heaven and hell are fighting their own personal battle, wanting to conquer the other side.”

I love me some Monica James books and her latest one does not disappoint. Bullseye is the first book in The Monsters Within Duet and it’s a mind-blowing mix of all things raw, gritty and twisted. While I personally wouldn’t consider this book super dark, it does walk that line and crossed over into depraved several times. Yes please, the more depraved and twisted the better! We definitely get a big ole mindfuck throughout this book from the very start to that crazy...I never saw it coming cliffhanger of a finish. Like what the hell was that? I finished the book yesterday and am still not quite sure what happened at the end but I do know I loved it and I need more now!

“My story doesn’t end with Prince Charming saving the princess and living happily ever after with her because I killed that fucking prince.”

Cody was just a kid when he snuck off to a party to impress a girl and what was supposed to be a night of fun turned out to be the worst night of his life when an unspeakable tragedy happens. He loses the person he loves most and so begins his obsession with revenge. Cody was no longer and Bull was all that was left.

“I’ll forever be imprisoned to the day I picked up a gun and shot a man in cold blood. However the only regret I have…is that I got caught.”

It’s been twelve long years since Bull has been out in the real world. Now free from the bars that confined him but not from the monsters in his head, his only goal is to execute his plan for revenge. Nothing can get in his way. Not even the beautiful and talented dancer he can’t seem to get out of his head. He knows he needs to stay away since she’ll only be collateral damage but he’s having a hard time sticking to what he knows he should do as far as Tigerlily is concerned. And Lily knows Bull is trouble. She can sense it from the first moment he walks into the Pink Oyster and comes to her rescue. Her draw to him is just as powerful as his is to her. To say there is sexual chemistry between these two from the start would be an understatement. It’s like a goddamn explosion going off constantly between these two. It was so damn hot I could barely stand it. Can their demons play nice with each other or will Bull’s need for revenge continue to consume him until there’s nothing left?

“I like the thought of seeing you beg…seeing you bound…seeing you bleed.”

I loved how raw and all around gritty this story was. I loved how even though Bull thought he wasn’t worthy, Lily saw so much in him. I absolutely loved his character and all the layers there were to the mysterious man he was. Lily was also pretty badass. She loved hard and was loyal. She worked her ass off and was proud of who she was no matter what others thought. This book had a ton of suspense and craziness and then that cliffhanger? I can’t wait for more!

“His darkness dances with mine.”

Monica has written another amazing book! Bullseye is a story of revenge and I am so down for reading the journey to watch watch Bull reap it!

The story begins on the day of Bull's release from prison, where he has served the last 15 years for Murder. He finds himself in a small town strip club enamoured with one dancer that he cannot take his eyes off of - Tigerlily. When Bull steps up to intervene with a client getting a little to handsy, he is offered a job as a bouncer for the club. Bull is a man on a mission, he is driven by revenge over a tragedy he will never un-see and never forgive. A man ruled by his demons and prepared to do whatever it takes to seek vengeance, a man with nothing to loose in a dangerous man indeed.

Lily is a woman with a heart of gold, a single mother, doing whatever she can to keep a roof over their heads. She teaches ballet during the day and uses her love of dance in the only way she knows to make money fast at night - at a strip club. When Lily discovered she was pregnant at 16 the father of her child left her and the only family she had in her older brother wanted nothing to do with her. Lily is a woman who shows a lot of vulnerability throughout the book; but at the same time she has this darkness that I love! Let me just say the girl is feisty, she knows how to run her mouth and work a pair of stiletto's and I wanted to give her the highest of fives on a few occasions!

Monica has a way with her writing within the dark romance world that creates a hero with a darkness you can't help but be drawn too. She writes good men who are broken and do bad things, and boy does she make them irresistible while they do it! I love her male POV, it's earthy and raw and animalistic, I love how they can be so consumed with their focus but when that one woman breaks through that fog you, can literally see the fight they put up to not drop to their knees for her! Bullseye is a brilliant read, that keeps you wanting to turn page after page, with two amazing characters front and centre and a plot that holds mystery and intrigue in a twisted tale of vengeance.

Bull and Lily are like lost planets fighting gravity to go their own paths; but they cannot help being pulled right back into each other and the moment they collide their worlds go up in flames! The damage that is left behind is the beginning of a war that was destined to happen in so many ways and I cannot wait to see how this is going to play out.

Wow wow wow. Monica James never fails to reel me completely into her stories. Bullseye was different than I imagined it was going to be... I was so pleasantly surprised by this story. It was intriguing, compelling and oh so delicious. Bull won me over... his darkness was all centered on getting revenge for someone he loved and I was rooting for him from the beginning.

Lily was the perfect woman for him... their darkness calls out to one another and when they are alone in the room oh boy *fans self*. These two were deliciously dark and sexy and so made for one another. I cannot wait to see how their story will unfold after all those big revelations. They didn't have that surprising factor for me because I actually saw that plotwist coming from the very beginning but it did not affect how I read the story nor how it all unfolded... even knowing what was about to come to light, I was still very glued to the moment and how all the characters reacted to learning the truth. I'm quite curious and scared about what will happen in book 2... I want Bull to get his revenge but I also want him to get the girl... I'm just not sure how he'll be able to get both.

Bull is out for revenge and gosh my heart hurts so much for the boy he once was and what that boy watched but it also hurts so much for the man he is today, the man who lowered his walls, found love and had his world shattered again. I want to so bad for him to get his revenge. His targets deserve what they are about to get and I really really hope they get his wrath. Gosh I am still kind of reeling over that ending and all the possibilities of what will go down in book 2. I need that book now!

DNF @ 35.2%

❌ Mini and insignificant spoilers

I would like to say that am very proud of myself, I beat V on something. I read father than her on this book. Does that make me a generous person or just plain stupid? I would say both after reading so far into this book.

I don't like DNF's books but this was a buddy read between four people and V was the first to DNF (only got 17%) and the others didn't even bother to pick it up because we told them not to because it is NOT worth it. At least to me.

I am rating it 2 stars because even though am not finishing doesn't mean I couldn't make myself finish it. There are does books that you just physically, mentally and spiritually cannot finish and then their are books like this. You can force yourself to finish it but why bother?

Unlike V, who didn't like this book because of the MMC. I didn't like it because of the FMC. That girl was the epitome of annoying, you can find her on the dictionary next to the word (among others) She is a stripper but don't you dare call her that because she will tell you she is a dancer who just happens to take her clothes off 🤦‍♀️ SWEETHEART, YOU ARE A FUCKING STRIPPER, OWN IT!! She feels all sorry for herself because she fell in love with her brother's bff and then he left her. Boohoo, so sad. She pretty much has abandonment issues but the annoying one not the true type. And don't even get me started on the way she acted towards the MMC. She is all like 'omg, he is trouble with a capital T, I should stay away' (did you read that with a squeaky voice, cause that is how I imagine her voice to sound) However, when the MMC tries to push her away and not pay her any attention she is all butthurt. That she goes to the point of getting DRUNK that she vomits WHILE SHE HAS HER CHILD AT HOME WAITING FOR HER!! I truly wanted to slap the bitch. Someone needs to tell her to grow the fuck up.

The MMC wasn't so bad. His story almost made me shed some tears. The author tried to make him into an intense badass when he really wasn't. Like come on people, he stayed away from the FMC so he wouldn't corrupt her and did nice things like fix shit around the club.

To me it isn't worth the read but go on and read it yourself so you can tell me am right 😜 or you can tell me am out of my mind. Either works with me.

Ok, enough ranting, bye!
