It was supposed to be a quick trip … the last thing she expected was to spend her holidays at a guest ranch with a handsome cowboy. Freelance photographer Rachel Hartman is hired to take marketing pictures for Montana-based Canyon Creek Ranch. As an Arizona native, Rachel is enchanted by the snow that never seems to stop falling … until that snow causes the airport to close, cancelling her flight home for the holidays. Rachel doesn’t mind experiencing her first white Christmas. What she does mind is her growing attraction to the cowboy assigned as her guide at the ranch. She’s just come out of a relationship and isn’t looking for another one—especially with someone who lives several states away.Levi Davis is busy enough caring for the livestock and guiding Canyon Creek’s outdoor excursions. The last thing he needs is to be saddled with a city girl to look after. But when Levi meets Rachel, he has a change of heart. The lively photographer captures his attention and has him wishing her stay in Montana would last longer than a few days. When a snowstorm forces the guests to extend their vacations, it looks like Levi will get his wish. But as an employee of the ranch, his hands are tied as far as making his feelings known to the woman he’s falling for.As Rachel and Levi spend time together the attraction between them is as clear as a starry Montana sky, but can they overcome the obstacles in their path? In a place like Canyon Creek, anything is possible.
Holly Stevenson loves to read, eat out, watch movies, and spend time with family and friends. As a former flight attendant, she has plenty of traveling hours under her belt, but never tires of exploring new places. Holly has a weakness for any combination of chocolate and caramel. She rarely sleeps in, preferring the early morning quiet to accommodate her incurable writing addiction. She is blessed to live with her favorite people: her husband and four kids, in a house overlooking the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
I received an ARC to review: I think this was one of the most thrilling romances I have ever read! Holly so succinctly describes the attraction, chemistry and awkward dynamics of new love between Levi and Rachel, yet keeps it clean, sweet and so not superficial. I devoured the story!! A double thumbs-up from me - for sure it has a place in my top 10 for 2020!
Such a sweet and romantic book! I love Holly's writing and enjoyed these fun and lovable characters. Goodness! Can't wait to be snowed in with a hot cowboy of my own ;-) Thanks Holly for the great romantic getaway. Reading your book was a great excuse to stay in from the cold, drink hot chocolate, and just relax!

I loved this book!! I loved the large crazy family, the location and the plot. This was my first book by author Holly Stevenson, but it won't be my last!!
This book gave the reader a fresh look at someone who had never seen snow, season's or the wonder of what a holiday could bring. The characters were fun, the banter was real and the swoon level of Levi, Garrett and the others made the reader want to check into the lodge and never check out themselves!
The author takes the reader on a ride that has some ups, downs, loops, curves and twists, but she leaves them in a good place (after they yell and curse at her). The reader will alternate between laughing, yelling and getting angry, but it is worth the read!! I can't wait to read something by this author again soon!
Don't hesitate to add this to your TBR list and move it straight to the top!
Levi is the oldest child on the family run ranch. Business needed a boost, so they hired Rachel, a photographer, to visit and build some pictures they can use to make their website more informative and exciting. Rachel jumps right into the ranch scenes and does a great job showing the beauty and fun of the gorgeous Montana area. Levi is smitten and Rachel feels it, also. We get the slow burn of flirting and spending time together. The whole family likes her, and we want to see what happens when she must go home to Arizona. There is a misunderstanding that is putting Levi in a fit, and we care what the outcome may be. The two people get an adventure with being snowed in after snowmobiling, and there are horses and a sleigh ride and more. Rachel fits in so well. Levi is hoping for forever, until he sees a text ! This is light, romantic and Christmas time fun, with an HEA. Enjoy !
Absolutely loved this book! I love a good cowboy romance! Loved the characters so much and loved the storyline. I wanted to pick this back up and read it again when it was over. So great!!
I truly loved this sweet, romantic story. It was the perfect feel good read and left me with good feels all day long.
Rachel Hartman was a photographer from Phoenix who had been hired to take photos of the Canyon Creek Ranch Resort to update their marketing and advertising. The Ranch was located in Montana and it was just before Christmas. The Davis family, who owned the ranch, was a large family who made guests feel like a member of the family. Rachel was an only child who had been raised by a single mother so the large family was a little overwhelming for her, at first. It didn't take long, though, until she felt right at home.
Part of what helped was her attraction to the oldest son, Levi. He was one handsome cowboy and there were sparks that both of them began to feel. They both really wanted to keep their relationship professional but they were so drawn to each other. Was it possible for there to be more to their relationship than just professional? Would a long-distance relationship work out? Were they willing to give it a try or would one secret ruin it before it even began?
I loved the ease with which this story was told. It felt very natural and real and I absolutely adored Levi. He was one sweet, kind, hot cowboy with a huge heart and a big family to match.
I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.
Arizona photographer Rachel Hartman is thrilled to take pictures in picturesque Montana right before Christmas--even more thrilled to discover the handsome cowboy in residence. Eldest son of the ranch's owners, Levi takes care of the horses and cattle on the ranch, never allowing himself to flirt with the guests. But Levi and Rachel hit it off immediately and when the airport closes due to snow, they may just take some extra time to explore this attraction, even though she's a temporary employee of his parents. Rachel and Levi were cute together and their romance swift but so sweet. It definitely read like a Hallmark plotline, right down to the Complication that arises three-quarters of the way through. They're both sweet, deserving characters and I'll definitely be reading Hope and Owen's story in the Pine Ridge series.
This book was a great Christmas read. This story takes place at a place I would love to visit called Canyon Creek Ranch and it’s set during the Christmas holiday. In the book you meet photographer Rachel Hartman who is hired to take pictures for Montana-based Canyon Creek Ranch. She is a native of Arizona and she gets enchanted by the snow that never seems to stop falling.
The snow causes the airport to close cancelling her flight home. She ends up meeting a cowboy named Levi Davies. He feels that the last thing he needs is to be saddled with a city girl to look after. Once he meets her has a change of heart. The ranch is hit by a snowstorm forcing her visit to be a while longer. This was a cute city girl meets cowboy and falls in love with said cowboy. This was a great book from start to finish especially for the Christmas holiday 🎄
Sweet, clean Christmas romance that was almost as much about Rachel finding a home with the Davis family as it was about the romance bubbling up between Levi and Rachel despite all their reservations. Fast read about the perfect getaway, beautifully captured through the lens of Rachel's camera. I loved the way the large family was portrayed and their traditions.
The story line was a touch predictable at times, but in a comfortable way. Definitely a cozy, feel good story with a happy ending - even if it seemed touch a go there for a bit. I liked the way the relationship unfolded naturally - no instalove etc. This is a standalone story, but with a fabulous cast of characters I wouldn't mind seeing more of.
The banter between the main characters is lively and witty until an incident destroys the story. The author's attempt at an instantaneous fix is very unsatisfying. For me, the story never recovers.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Rachel, being an only child, is so fun and competitive. She gives Levi, a ten and the oldest in his family, a run for his money. She's smart, has a way with people, has an artistic eye and seemed to be good at most everything. Each character in this book was equally developed and the descriptions of the ranch made me want to visit - especially to stay in one of the cabins. So worth the read.
I want to be snowed in at the ranch! What a beautiful setting. Ms. Stevenson paints such a picturesque story with her words. She had me falling in love with the family, their ranch and the romance between Levi and Rachel. I have to read the rest of this series now.
I'm in love with the Snowed In... series. I enjoyed this addition to the series. The author had such great descriptions of the ranch that I am wanting to visit this place in real life. I loved this book and loved the feelings evoked. Maybe a series with these characters?
Charming, sweet, clean and fun, this is a great Christmas romance. Perfect for reading curled up cozy and warm. There is something so magical about falling in love at Christmas time with snow all around.
Great story. A girl comes to visit at Christmas and meets a really cute cowboy. Throw in a flirting brother but that's easily fixed by paying the youngest brother to sit between them and entertain her. Only cost a dollar. There's always a ex to meddle. Enjoy
A sweet holiday story that would be a perfect hallmark movie. Great setting, lots of snow to build a fort and have a snow ball fight for a happy ending.
Enjoyed reading Holly Stevenson’s “Snowed in at the Ranch”. Levi and Rachel quickly draw each other’s interest. Will a misunderstanding of a text keep them apart?
Very enjoyable short read. I really liked the descriptions of that area of Montana. I’ve never been there before but the book is telling me I should go visit.
