Brandon is something that hasn’t been around for so long. There isn’t even a name for that race anymore. But because his mother was injected with a blood sample, unwillingly, before he was even born, he has become something that was thought long dead—a progenitor. But only Brandon knows their true name. The Elveesians.
Now, with this newfound strength and possible power, can he take on the Void? He is about to find out that the Void isn’t playing by any rules that everyone thinks it’s supposed to play by.
Brandon, Silvana, Lina, and Johanne are now about to find out just what they are battling, as things are starting to move faster and faster. Brandon thought the Void was infecting the powerful people of the world, in politics and show business. Those with money and fame. Well, he is about to find out otherwise.
This series contains the unabridged text, mayhem, monster girls, fluffy tails, and just plain lots of magic.
I'm... I'm not sure but the novelty is starting to wear off, and it's an alright story, but I don't know if I'll continue. A few more mistakes this time. Little things... he alters someone but it's a big thing that he has the control not to fully hook them with a thread... but then he's changing them from across the compound later like he did hook them? Lots of doing things, more people introduced, not less... substance of people already there. Prior are brought in just to push plot, 2D NPC feel. Not even any smut, which I don't mind if the time is put into really developing other things, but, there isn't. And again feels like they must picked a spot to end the book, but with a cliffhanger. If you loved the first, you'll probably like this. I just only liked the first so it's ho hum for me.
Second book in the series is good, however I had some issues with making a character all powerful and then that main character doesn't use his gifts and Powers or he fails to uses them in a logical and sensible way, or even worse,he just forgets he has theml The choices the main character makes are so stupid sometimes it's just hard to get or stay invested with the MC or keeping with the storyline! the plot is a little weak but it's starting to come together overall. I like the world and the characters and the dialogue and what the author's trying to do, it just seemed like it needs an editor and this might have been the second draft instead of the finished story the book 2 deserved.
Imagine one day working in a quiet cozy job and the next having three amazing lovers: a werewolf, an elf, and a vampire. All because you are now being hunted by a nefarious group calling themselves The Organization. Well, you also have the DNA of a race that died off about a million years ago that were the original creators of all races giving you all the abilities that each race have, like shape shifting to anything, casting unique magic, and transferring abilities through biting others.
Yes this book has it all, from good sex to cool fights using crazy unseen magic.
It was a fun read from cover to cover. On to book 3.
This series is fun. This book is no exception. I might enjoy the series more than the authors other work. It's always fun to read and this Series seems a little better planned. The void is in the house and the extent of which they are here is beginning to dawn On the MC and his allies. They hats lot of work ahead but new allies are found which may help the MC with his new powers.
I really love the second book in the series The adventure continues and boy does it continue. I really love urban fantasy and the added enjoyment of having a little bit of the not fade to Black romance with legitimate people who have different personalities and who are not shallow. A well written even paced story that tickles my Urban fantasy bone.
This the second book in the series. Is just as enjoyable to read as the first book. What with Brandon, his mom, her n minions, etc. The series characters are all realistic. Even to the main characters mom not liking people swearing around her. Moms what can you say? Other than that you love them!
Brandon and his crew are fighting the Void. They are still not aware of what Brandon really is. Or what the true aim of the Void is. But it is about to get real. Will they learn enough to survive? While getting stronger and learning more magic they also develop a stronger and more physical connection. Read on.
Brandon's life was turned upside in book 1. Book 2 sees him going on missions to to fight the void. Lots more action and adventure and more back story is given throughout the book and leaves you with a cliffhanger (lucky book 3 is available). World building is excellent and more character development is great to see.
Wasn't a fan of the use of the f word so frequently in this book however I will say I can totally understand why it was used. The characters f word phrase became his trade mark shall we say. He has quite strong resilience considering what he goes through! The story itself kept me involved despite the language which is a testament to its strength. I'm intrigued for the other 2 books.
Again I loved it. As Brandon meets his mother and learns more about what he is, he also learns he will be trained to be a killer. There is a battle brewing with something ancient that was thought tto be banished thousands of years ago. That is why his mother has come for him. He was hidden as a child because HE is a combination of things and is extremely dangerous. I loved his side kick Roger the fairy. He was hilariouscand the banter was awesome. I will have to invest in book 3 for sure
This was a good continuation of the series but it was a little short. The story line did progress but there was little development in between the MC and his harem. Otherwise a good story.
Continuing on from book one we have Brandon and his girls working to get stronger and become more proficient with their powers. I have already added books 3 and 4 to my library.
Brandon has gained in power. His mother has assigned him missions now that he has the power. Brandon and his crew must figure out how to defeat the evil presence. Magic, elves, vampires, demons, and a progenitor ensue. I like the action, humor, and lust/love. I look forward to the next book.
This story has a incredible mythos and with each new discovery the lore just builds and builds. The characters are fascinating and I cannot wait for the next one!
You need to read this series in order due to detailed background and logically sequenced plot lines. Good new is the sequel is even better than the 1st volume. Hoping the trend continues.
This was as good as it gets. This for me was a re-read, I enjoyed it more than the first time I read it. Truly wish a motion picture wizard would turn this into a escape for those that don't read.
