Four former best friends are reunited at their 25th high school reunion. Little did they know this reunion would rekindle their friendship and lead them to an adventure of a lifetime.
Andrea, Rita, Lauren, and Monica promised each other that they would always remain close but life happened leading them to go their separate ways and fall out of touch. Over two decades later, the four decide to dust off their high school yearbook and take a blissful trip down memory lane. As they flip through the pages, they are reminded of their senior class trip that was canceled due to the sudden death of a fellow classmate. They discover an old promise they made to each other to take a trip together someday.
The reunion ends and the four friends head back to their cold-weather states. Little did the ladies know the whirlwind that the next year would be. Monica has had enough. She picks up the phone and calls her friends…
“I think we should make good on that promise we made and have ourselves the trip of a lifetime. No more waiting. No more putting it off. No more excuses. Life is too short…”
The Trip of a Lifetime is a feel-good series of a group of friends who rekindle their friendship and renew their passion for life. They embark on a once in a lifetime trip to the Caribbean. With many ups and downs, you’ll find yourself on the edge of your seat. Mostly, your heart will be filled with warmth and love.

I don't generally enjoy these little episodic books but this one is very entertaining. It's nice to see the women going on their trip. I hope there is more interaction between them than in this one. Rita hits it off with the Captain so more of this is about their relationship. It still has some intrigue though and ends with a crisis. So far, so good! Awesome storyl! I'm so enjoying the adventures that the girls (women) are having. Can't wait for book 3! Another great read, Coral! Thanks for allowing me to an ARC reader.
I really enjoyed this story, it is short but sweet. I enjoyed all of the characters. I don't usually care for cliff hangers, but since I enjoyed it so much, it's okay. This is a sweet, clean romance.
This is book two of the Caribbean series and sees old friends Rita, Monica, Lauren and Andrea finally getting together for the trip of a lifetime they had promised each other when they were graduating from high school. They lost touch in the years in-between, but reconnected at their twenty fifth high school reunion. It took a year after that to all get together, but they are now on the way with a cruise of a lifetime in sunnier climes. Monica was the push who arranged their trip, but getting all four together was a fluke of chance, they are all going to make the most of. The holiday almost starts off on the wrong note, when Rita’s room is double booked, but an upgrade brings a chance meeting in the hallway outside her room, with a very handsome stranger.
It has been over a year since she lost her high school boyfriend and then husband and her twin sons are happily away at college. She is alone in her home all day and night and has been finding the loneliness difficult to handle. Hopefully this holiday would bring some joy back into her life, but romance was the furthest from her mind! The man she meets on the ship, travels all the time and had followed his father and grandfather into the Marines, and then continued in a maritime position. He is also lonely, finding his constant travelling comes as a deterrent to and real relationship, and this is something Rita recognises in him. This instant attraction brings about a fast and intense beginning of a relationship, something one of her friends tries to discourage her from. The women get together for meals and special treats, as well as making the most of all the fantastic facilities available on the ship. A night out in a nightclub may not be what some of them are used to, but they enjoy the dancing, leaving to try their chances at the casino tables.
But they never make it, as bad weather brings about some intense and rolling action of the ship, leaving them violently sea-sick and practically crawling back to their rooms. An emergency is called as the storm intensifies and danger suddenly gets really close to hand for all. The calm in the morning after, brings an unwelcome piece of news about one of the women and you have to wait for the next episode to find out what happens next! Another short, but easy read, about four women trying to have a trip they should have taken before college, and the ultimate chance to reconnect. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
A group of four friends takes the trip of a lifetime together. A widow, a once more divorcée and a perennially single gal among them
Rita married her high school sweetheart. His loss has been fundamental to her in a way the friends who never connected that deeply cannot relate to.
But a chance upgrade due to a snafu brings Spenser into her life. The Naval Academy grad never connected with anyone like he has with Rita. What is worth making a compromise or change?
Rita gets advice to be cautious. Yet a life threatening storm leaves no doubt how she feels.
Now if they can locate Lauren . . . .

Rita and her three friends were ready to embark on their trip of a lifetime in book 2. They had overbooked Rita's cabin so she was upgraded to VIP with no extra charge. She also got to meet a sexy man who helped her unlock her door. This book was full of adventure and unplanned events to make you want to find out what happens in book 3. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Warning, if you haven't read book one you need to read that one first. This series each book continues where the previous one left off.
A story that captivates you from the start. The characters are fun and engaging and you enjoy getting to know them. The story is well written and moves smoothly through the pages.

3 1/2 stars This was continuation from book one. It wasn’t as good as book one and four. It takes place on a cruise ship and you would think it would be about all four friends but again it centers in on one. The same one that book one centers around. Why mention so much if the other three friends if they aren’t gonna be main characters? Storyline good, but nothing to write hone about. You will need book three handy as this does end as a cliffhanger.
Rita and her friends decide to make the trip of their lives on a boat. When Spencer and Rita meet sparks fly all over the place. The second book on this series. The good thing is that it is quick and easy to read and very entertaining. The bad thing is the time we have to wait until the next installment. This is the 5th book I've read written by Coral Harper; she has done a great job at writing a good short story; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

It only takes about an hour and a half to read this family-friendly account of the start of the trip Rita, Monica Morton, Andrea, and Lauren were talking about in Book 1.
