I like how this book started out especially with the set up with Zoe's family. After a bad experience with a previous agency Zoe has a job that she loves and she's really good at it. Zoe and Ethan work well together and their chemistry isn't limited to the office.
I thought the pacing was a little off in this book. I knew the surprise pregnancy was coming but it didn't come until too close to the end. And then there was some family drama thrown in one chapter to be swiftly wrapped up in the next chapter. I liked Ethan and Zoe getting to bond and know each other but a little too much time was spent on them falling into routine while everything else was rushed at the end up the book instead of spread throughout.

I have enjoyed Nicki Nights stories ever since she was apart of the Harlequin Kimani line. I am so happy she has found a new home, and this book shows why she is such a great author.
The series of the Blackwells of New York has started off with such a great start. Zoe Baldwin is determined to make it in the investment baking industry, to the point she won't let her not getting a promotion she deserves derail her. She ends up obtaining a job with the Blackwell company and tries to fight it, is smitten with her immediate boss, Ethan Blackwell. Although they try very hard to keep their relationship a secret, certain people start to piece things together. Zoe makes a decision that might destroy what they've started to build.
There are secrets and surprises that made the story that much more interesting. The story also touched on something that is slightly becoming less taboo. It was a spicy and interesting read and I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Nicely Done
The Blackwell's story started with a lot of clanging and all sorts of activities. I knew when Ethan set his gaze on Zoe, it was a done deal. Ethan was smitten at first look. He knew it, and so did his brother Carter. Denial was his first action until he no longer believed himself. Zoe tried to resist her suitor with a sound mind, but her heart wouldn't cooperate. A side note: I am not sure why Roberts's part was mentioned... I won't spoil it for anyone... I'm just saying... Overall, this office romance and secret pregnancy story were nice.

Awesome story!
Zoe Baldwin has a big and generous heart, looks out for her family and is not afraid to stand up to sleazy work supervisors, so she deserves the very best man to love, honor and cherish her.
So why does she allow Ethan to treat her like his dirty little secret? Ain't that much job in the world!!! Find a new job!

Intimate Negotiations begins the Blackwells of New York series with a sizzling, perhaps forbidden romance between a successful woman and her new boss – there are so many reasons to say it’s not worth the consequences but the temptation is simply too hard to resist for Zoe and Ethan.
I absolutely loved this story. I do not remember reading Nicki Night before, and while I could kick myself for missing out instead I’ll simply gloat a bit at the new to me backlist that I’ll be diving into in the coming weeks.
Zoe and Ethan’s romance sizzles with awareness, temptation, and passion right from the beginning. Now, will they act on that becomes the burning question? I liked this couple individually and together, they simply fit, and the reasons that they kept their distance at first is a matter of interpretation for the reader. Ethan’s father has a hard and solid rule against inner company dating, that’s a line he never, ever wants to see crossed and there will be consequences should anyone defy him. Since Ethan is in somewhat of a competition between siblings for the top position at the family business he’s very cautious about the attraction he has for Zoe. Oh, it’s always there just beneath the surface but until one fateful night, he’ll do anything to follow his father’s rules… whether he agrees with them or not.
I enjoyed Ethan’s inner conversations. It’s obvious that he’s torn. And equally obvious that there are family tensions that we aren’t fully aware of the reasons at first. His attraction for Zoe goes beyond a stolen date and is heading into the forever mindset – but the reasons behind his decisions make sense.
I adored Zoe. She’s a devoted daughter, a patient, and a loving sister, who not only has proven to herself that she can handle working with the powerful clients for the new firm she’s signed on with but her bosses as well. Her self-battle with her emotions concerning Ethan is also obvious but in this situation, she has a bit more to lose should she or they cross that line. There were moments when my heart ached for Zoe and her family, and others when I cheered on her stubbornness and determination.
Intimate Negotiations is the type of story that will keep me returning to an author to see what they come up with next. It’s passionate, yes, but it’s also a deep love story between two adults who really belong together – if only the other things would get out of their way. There is a reveal toward the end that answers some questions, and now I’m curious to see if that affects the rest of Ethan’s family in the future. Oh, there are plenty of reasons to continue this series – and if you’re in the mood for a sizzling love story you cannot go wrong with this one.

This book ends at 80% so a heads up for anyone reading an e copy. Zoe interviews at Ethan's company. Ethan has an instant attraction and Zoe feels the same way. They don't act on it until Zoe gets stuck at Ethan's apartment because of weather. Zoe finds out she's pregnant and struggles with what to do about her job and how to tell Ethan. The story goes by so quick. It did not feel like there's a lot to it.

I truly enjoyed this story. I was engaged from the beginning and enjoyed how the story developed. The main characters were developed very well. I wanted to know more about the supporting cast, especially the sister. Seeing as this is book 1, i hope I get more about the brother soon.
the ending went much too fast, as I wanted to read more about the relationship after the discovery of the pregnancy. Overall, a great read.

What a read...
This was an adorable book. Forbidden love, challenges and a surprise baby. I loved the character Ethan he had his own issues that he willingly worked out to be with his person. Zoe is an amazing characters that fought her challenges like a champ. The story was a little short but I still enjoyed the read. I hope to at least get an update on them in the next book in the series.

Zoe Baldwin changed jobs and started working for Ethan Blackwell. He was in charge of opening brances of Blackwell Investments in the Long Island section of New York. He actually was in competition with one of his brothers to see who did the best. He was very luck he hired Zoe because she helped him win the competition. In the process he and Zoe fell in love. It was a great story.

Loved it
His was a great story with wonderfully relatable characters. The underlying story line about the grass appearing greener on the other side was a good addition. What I didn’t enjoy was the drastic jumps in time within the story. It made it difficult at time to follow.

When Nicki Night sent me the book Intimate Negotiations to read and review, I was so excited. The cover of the book just drew me in and I couldn’t wait to read it. Let me just say that Intimate Negotiations is an amazing book. After reading the first few pages, I was drawn in and I couldn’t put it down until I finished it. Intimate Negotiations is the 1st book in Nicki Night’s Blackwells of New York Series.
Intimate Negotiations tells the love story of Zoe Baldwin and Ethan Blackwell. Zoe has a successful career in Investment Banking and Ethan works for his family’s business Blackwell Wealth Investment. Zoe and Ethan meet for the first time when Zoe has an interview with Ethan for a position at the company. Ethan is drawn to Zoe like a moth to a flame. Zoe is also drawn to Ethan from that initial meeting. At first, Ethan wasn’t going to hire Zoe, but the more he interviewed her, he realized how smart, intelligent, and driven that Zoe was so he ended up hiring her.
The sexual tension between the pair was spontaneous. When a storm comes up while Zoe and Ethan is at meeting, she ends up stranded and having to stay with Ethan at his apartment in the city. Will Zoe and Ethan give in to their desires? Will the pair become a couple? Will Zoe and Ethan get their happy ever after? You will have to read Intimate Negotiations by Nicki Night to find out!
What I loved about this book was the storyline and the drama! The storyline flowed so seamlessly and it kept me engrossed that I had to continue reading to see what happened next. I love how Nicki Night put all of the drama in this book. When I thought I knew what was going to happen next, Nicki threw a surprise up in there! The love scenes were so sizzling hot and spicy. Carter, Ethan’s brother was my favorite character in the book. I’m so hoping he gets a story. He kept me laughing. I also loved the topic that Nicki Night wove into the book because it’s not talked about in African American families.
Nicki Night shows us in Intimate Negotiations that you can rise up from your circumstances and be successful. She also shows us that you can find love no matter what position you are in financially. Overall, I loved reading Intimate Negotiations by Nicki Night. I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in this series. This book is one of my top reads so far in 2021.

I’m a big fan of Nicki Night from her days with Kimani Romance. I love her writing style and her stories of romance.
Intimate Negotiations was awesome with romance, mystery and mental illness all making for a great story.
Ethan, his brother Carter and colleague Dillon are vying for VP of Blackwell Wealth Management. Zoe applies for a position at Ethan’s branch and it was love at first site and Ethan hires her. Zoe is a great addition to the company.
Zoe and Ethan pursue a relationship that is against Blackwell’s policy. Zoe is having second thought and wants to end the relationship not only because Ethan is her boss but learned from a previous relationship that according to the parent’s she was not a good match for their son because she didn’t come from money. Ethan is having no part of that.
Ethan and Zoe are both dealing with personal family issues.

Good start to a new series. I really enjoyed Ethan and Zoe’s story. Their chemistry was hot and forbidden but Ethan thought Zoe was worth the risk. Secret rendezvous and family secrets definitely made this a page turner. Looking forward to the next installment in this series.

I was given this book for a review. I really enjoyed Ethan and Zoe’s story. Zoe knows exactly what she wants in her professional and personal life. She wants to be successful in her field and as far as her personal life she’s ok where that is for now. Her family means everything to her and that’s enough until Ethan Blackwell.
Ethan Blackwell is on a mission to do two things , win the VP position and Zoe. The chemistry between them is hot from the start. There are twist and turns bumps and surprises with Zoe and Ethan that you must read. This is a good book they keeps you entertained. I’m patiently waiting on the next one.

I received this book as an early review and I loved it! I loved the chemistry between Ethan and Zoe! I could not put this book down. Zoe and Ethan weren't supposed to fall in love with each other but they couldn't help it..the feelings were too strong even though they tried to deny them! I loved how Ethan fought and stood up for Zoe against his father and let his real feelings come out. Zoe was all set to let him go but real love won in the end! Loved this book and I hope we see more about her sister in the future. I can see more to her story. Until next time! 🙂🙂
