Josh:
This isn’t my typical beat. I write serious stories, not puff-pieces about former movie stars.
But my interest is piqued the moment I meet Christina Banks.
From the moment she kicks me out of her house, I’m intrigued.
She’s no-nonsense, and curt, and she looks like she’ll kill anyone who tries to gain access to her grandmother.
But she’s also gorgeous, and endearing in a sneaky way.
Maybe this assignment isn’t so bad. Even if I don’t find out what happened to the legendary Edith Banks, there is the far more exciting prospect of breaking down her granddaughter’s walls.
I think I’m going to enjoy this.

Christina:
I’ve been dealing with the media long enough to know journalists are the worst kind of people.
Opportunistic. They don’t care whose toes they step on.
I’ve kept them at bay for over twenty years, and I’ll continue to do this for as long as I have to.
I can’t let them find out about my grandmother.
Her career is long behind her, as is the scandal that ended it. And I must keep it that way.
There’s just one problem.
I don’t know how he found out about her, but this journalist doesn’t look like he’s going to let this go.
He’s charming, and he doesn’t take no for an answer. He’s attractive, too, I’ll give him that.
But none of that matters, because the important thing is to keep him from Grandma.
I’m just not sure what I’ll do when he turns that attention to me.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the fourth book in the Heroes of Hope County series. In this book, Josh is a reporter and is assigned to write an article about a former film star from years ago who walked away from her career and there was a scandal, but no one knew the real story. Now Josh encounters her granddaughter Christina, who has kept the story hidden and reporter away for years. Josh is attracted to Christina, but she doesn't trust him and wants to stay away from him. Christina is in charge of a fundraiser for a school program in the arts, and when Josh shows up, she wonder why he is there. Christina's grandmother Edith is charmed by Josh and when Josh stays to help Christina clean up after the fundraiser, she shares the story with him, but he swears he will not write about it. I really liked Josh, i thought he was charming and he really seemed to care about Christina and her grandmother. Christina liked Josh, even if she didn't want to. i think they would be good together. Another good one.

Sweet and Sensual - 4 Stars

The initial interactions between the two main male and main female characters was cautious. They appeared to be dancing around each other sussing the other one out. There was a definite attraction on both their parts right from the get-go. This short story was as advertised: sweet and sensual. Lovely. Good Stuffs!

I loved seeing the way Josh and Cristina's relationship developed and how Josh got to know Cristina's grandmother. Overall all great book. It's a quick read but still gives you everything you want to see.

Christina, Edith and Josh are revealed to be caring characters with integrity. Their relationship is new, starts as uncertain, truths are finally shared and attractions acted on. This is a very good quick read.
