Contains the Complete Volumes 3-4! Autumn has arrived. Having narrowly avoided the curse of the Kotoribako, Sorawo and Toriko are back to exploring the other world. With boxed lunches in tow, the two take their agricultural vehicle for a leisurely drive across grassy terrain, deal with the problems caused by Sorawo's kouhai at university, and hang out at cognitive scientist Kozakura's house. Naturally, bizarre entities and Satsuki Uruma's shadow are watching their every move. Sorawo prepares for more adventures with Toriko, but the most terrifying of threats is silently closing in on them. Not to mention the fact that it seems there's something Toriko needs to tell Sorawo... There's no turning back now―a whirlwind of bizarre exploration and survival is upon them! Don’t miss the second collection of this girls' tale of survival, where feelings they can't show each other collide!
It's kinda schrödingers book. I didn't want the book to end but couldn't stop to read till i was at the end and now i have to wait half a year for the next omnibus. Funnything, like the first volume it didn't really hook me in the beginning but after i picked it up after two weeks i just couldn't stop reading it. The otherside stories were better in the first one cause the second one focused more on character development and the changing chemistry between the heroines.
Spoiler: Or well maybe not cause it is official a yuri novel. I liked how the feeling of they are good friends slowly changed and they become more than that. I can't wait to read on and see where those two girls are going in the future!
this omnibus had a lot of things I like about it! a new character was introduced, major developments happen, it's just chaotic! I love how offhand comments in volume 1 were actually foreshadowing for this book. maybe I'll make another spoilered review as I can't talk about my love for these volumes without so
This novel fills the niche I've been craving for: sapphic mystery/horror where the characters just HAPPEN to be gay. There's a story and they're just doing their thing.
Good volumes. The cult part was so good - finally seeing some more background info for Sorawo, the way she's traumatized and coping and how she survived. Also really gay. Just kiss your accomplice to distract her from trauma, it's a normal thing to do.
It was a fun read and it was nice to see the MCs relationship develop. It loses a star because the author has this bad habit of throwing the MCs into a horror tale, have them shoot or destroy something and then black out and wake up somewhere else as if nothing had ever happened. It might be used sometimes to make things more mysterious, but when used too often it’s just lazy writing
I really enjoyed this just as much as the first omnibus. So much happens that it is hard to remember it all. But Toriko and Sorawos' relationship progresses a bit more.
Toriko finds out that Sorawo can see Satsuki Uruma but after what she does, it is hard to tell how the Toriko feels about that. She went to the Otherside to look for her but is the woman she sees really her missing friend? That really got me. I wonder if we are going to see Satsuki again cause I would really love to learn more about her.
The flashback of Sorawo thinking about her family and something feeling wrong made my heart race as I was reading but the ending was really sweet. Christmas between Toriko and Sorawo. It was really funny that Sorawo didn't think too much of the date until Toriko told her.
I am hoping to get Omnibus 3 but I don't know how long the wait will be for Omnibus 4 or how many novels this series will have. While I wait for it, I may start reading The Haunted Bookstore. I finally got volume 1-4 of the light novel.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This omnibus covers regular volumes 3 & 4 and this series is great! I really like how we only get Sorawo's take on things as she and Toriko delve deeper into the "Otherside" and into the various relationships she is reluctantly developing. If you've seen the anime and wondered where one of the later episodes was from, now you know; it's in vol. 3. We also get to see Sorawo and Toriko actually use the AP-1 (the machine they bought in a previous volume). More strangeness, more supernatural, more unknowns, and more personal revelations from our main protagonists equals an awesome read!
I actually struggled putting this book away, it was just too good. I especially liked the second half, and would probably read it again. The combination of fear and romance might not be original, but I've never seen it be executed this well! I absolutely love it.
