Anu, an aspiring writer, wanted to write one bestselling book. Just one. The problem? The absence of a plot! That’s kinda essential, isn’t it? But she was having a hard time cracking an idea for her debut book. However hard she hammered her brain it could not produce a juicy little storyline.
That day was just the same, her nose to the grindstone, as she tried to formulate an article. Mr. Husband, who’d been keenly observing her all along, joked at her scramble and wondered why she couldn’t pen down stories about her own life. Annnndddd... There it was… The Idea… She pushed the pencil on her real-life episodes. Tada...
Mr. Husband unknowingly contributed to her potboiler with his witty punchlines and sarcasm. She continued inscribing one story after another and Voila! There it was! The book was ready!

The title itself says everything. The anecdotes that make u think and laugh! The stories that covered with sarcasm. The protagonist Anu is me myself, I felt so. She has almost the problems that I have. It was too much relatable.
The husband of Anu is a witty one. Every women will want for such a sarcastic man. He is great. It all shows how brilliant is the author. Yes, she has proved that she is a brilliant cum sarcastic story teller.
Will Anu able to finish the book?

Do you like humourous reads? I do and I like them a lot. They are always refreshing to read and they are quite helpful when your are dull or in a reading slump. These kinds of book cheer you up and brings out joy in you and your heart feels light and happy. One such book is this which I'm gonna recommend you now. As you can see this book is quite short and apt for reading during evening or when you are on a coffee break. So now let's move on to the story. The story revolves around the main character Anu. She is an aspiring writer and like every writers dream she wants her book to be a best selling one. But there's a problem , what's the main thing in writing a book it's plot line ryt? Now she goes head over heels to hunt down a juicy storyline. So ultimately will the book be completed and will Anu's witty , sarcastic but loveable husband will help her in any sort? Read the book to know more!! I really like the relationship between Anu and his husband. Few words were pretty adorable and funny like Umpire aunty , mr tots etc. The introductory quotes were really good as well!! This book will take you on a journey of wittiness , sarcasm and a lot of humour. Characters are well developed , language is simple yet lucid and narration is great. Title is apt but I didn't liked the coverpage so a point minus otherwise it would have been a 5 star read!! Overall a good read and highly recommended to all!!

An incredible journey of two opposites and their happy married life. We have Anu, who seems to always be in a tizzy in comparison to her carefree, witty sense-of-humor Mr. Husband. The debut Author wonderfully narrates various relatable incidences of their normal lives, and how they tackle those situations, and each other, in their own ways. How can I forget Mr. Tots, the apple of their eyes!
Namita’s writing is crisp and eloquent, with a sprinkle of humor and certainly a lot of smiles as you keep turning the pages! I was surely looking forward to reading more and although it is a short book, it surely touches your heart right from the beginning. A must read lighthearted treat for every couple and every age group! Kudos to the author and I’m hoping there is a sequel to this in the near future!

“It’s Punny Opps, I mean Funny” this title catches my attention to pick this book. And it didn’t disappoint me, as I take a fun adventure ride throughout the read.
We all create joyful and fun moments in our life journey. This book is all about those small, interesting, and fun moments. In this read Author pen down her daily life moments and conversations with humor which makes the reader laugh. The sarcastic narration makes the glimpse of a married couple interesting. My favorite chapter of the book is “Dink” where I found the interesting character “I-am-so-interested-in-your-life Umpire Aunty” and being married totally feel connected with it.
The quotes at beginning of every chapter are amazing. And make sure you are not drinking coffee or tea while reading this book because the hilarious punch lines will make you laugh out loud. The cover of the book is adorable and the writing style is lucid.

It is definitely a laughter riot. Plot follows aspiring novelist Anu who is struggling to finish writing her novel. Will she able to write a best seller as she dreams to be successful author like Rowling or will she end up procrastinating even more. Read the book to know more.
Book is extremely beautiful and funny. There are quotes in the beginning of each chapter. What I liked most is chapterisation where each chapter is s different anecdote. So in that way book can be read as a full length novel or as collection of short stories. Don't worry though you won't be able to out it off. I really loved Anu's husband he reminded me of Indravadan Sarabhai. I liked the playful and light hearted nature of their relationship.
Book is well written. Each episode is homorous it will definitely tickle your bones and I can not reiterate that fact that Mr. Totes is the MVP of this book. It is a must read for all

In this story, the author tried to say the day-to-day incidents between the husband and wife in a very funny way.
The author tried to be funny everything that starts with the character's names like Mr.Husband, Mrs.Umpire aunty, Mr.Tots, and Mrs.Upset. Very unique and funny names isn't it? Their day-to-day incidents were explained in a very hilarious way. I fully enjoyed while reading it. It's a totally very humorous story.
The quotes used in this were really good and very unique.
If you looking for a short and humorous read. Go for it you will laugh at many places. In this pandemic, it's a good Distraction to read it. you can finish it in one go. The language used was very simple so beginners can also read this book.

This book encompasses the story of how the author decided to write her debut novel in this pandemic. But it not done in a usual boring format! Here the author has described her life in a story telling format and that's what will interest you. It is a story being told in a story in a story format.

The book seriously holds an interesting story-telling format as this kind of books are very rare to be seen. The title ofcourse completely justifies the story which you will know once you complete the book. However I felt that the author could have made the book more interesting by involving some exaggerations. But at the same time, I would live to appreciate the author for her bravery to put out things (mostly) as it is. It could have reached heights if a bit of polishing in sentence formation and grammar would have been done. This book beautifully portrays what all the people especially in India were feeling during the lockdown period. The ups and downs of emotion that the author penned was felt by all and hence it became relatable at many points.

Have you ever seen laughing clubs where people laugh out loud for no apparent reason? I bet you have! If not, then I'm sure you have heard about it at least? Hahaha... But what if there are books which will make you laugh throughout the reading? Voila! I've found one for you. Yes, yes... This very book here.
Relatable, light-hearted and whimsical; this book is a short read of Anu's daily life with a hilariously annoying Mr. Husband who makes her go crazy yet happy in fulfilling her dream of becoming a best-selling author.
Being a writer, it was easier for me to understand all the writing related problems discussed here; be it writer's block, searching for novel ideas, distraction, procrastination and finally the nervousness due to the outcome of the manuscript. But this is not the only relatable part of the book. There is a direct showcase of our undying love for gadgets and at some points I felt that the author has used sarcasm to show how phones and various devices have taken place of real-life relationships. But still, we get to see the constant happiness in the life of this married couple through the simple narration of their day to day lives.
But the thing that touched my heart the most is the beautiful heart with which the author has penned down through this book. No lingering darkness, neither hidden mysteries; only some happy-go-lucky events of Anu and Mr. Husband's life which has some small, little fights which act more like sparks of love.
So my dear beautiful souls, grab this 'punny' oops, I mean funny book and have your dose of laughter and laugh out loud!

Got this book and decided to read the book because of its intriguing title.
What I liked
💛 Its a short simple read
💛 Light and makes one happy

💛 Theme of every chapter is set by a small quote, that sets the theme for the whole chapter
💛 It's written like a diary
💛 Talks about marriage, relationships, jealousy , and even revenge in a cute sense
What I didn't like as much
🖤 Not all funny, as in all the jokes don't necessarily land
🖤 Written like a blog, it has a very casual language, which was nice. And the authors choice. Its just that I'm not used to it

The book title caught my attention and I was looking for a light and fun read anyway. It also helped that the book was short and available on Kindle Unlimited.
As the blurb mentions, this book is structured around everyday 👪 episodes. The use of everyday lingo and idioms was refreshing. The chapter titles and quotes were very well picked, they fit nicely with the episode's content. I know it is too much to expect, but I wish the book had some funny illustrations as well.
Overall, I found the book interesting and easy to read. And it did rekindle a bit of my own desire to finish a fictional novel someday.

The book itself has a very interesting title along with an eye catching cover.
This story is of an aspiring author who wants to become a bestselling author one day.
The book is narration of the start of her journey along with her husband, divided into small short chapters.
The book is a perfect light read to refresh your mind, the story and the writing style itself radiate happiness which eventually is reflected on the readers face.
The authors character Anu seems really relatable to authors or any person who must have attempted writing a book.
Book is joyous and instantly lit's up one's mood.
This story contains small puns that instantly bring a lightens up your mood or makes you roll your eyes with a small hodden smile.

In the world full of pandemic, distressing stories all you need to do is stay safe at home and punch in some humorous and hilarious novels to treat your mood.
And one such amazing book I recently read is "Its punny opps I mean funny" by Namita Das.
A perfect blend of relatable incidents with a pure comic touch. This book goes through the daily life activities of a married couple and shows us how funny and sarcastic it turns out to be.
Full of short stories, this books gives you a positive perspective of a relationship and so many relatable moments which will surely cause pain in stomach !
This book is a real mood lifter and is written in a very cheerful manner ! I believe this is a highly recommended book and I personally thank the author for the positivity her stories brought into my life.

Oops, I mean Funny!

After going through a good number of scifi, historic and life learning books, I picked up this book for some light humour and puns. And the book provided me with just what I wanted.
The book has several chapters with short stories or should I say myriad life instances or journey through the eyes of a couple. The author's sense of humour and wit created by the author while haring the couple's experience is amazing I must say.
I loved this book and out of all the chapters, I loved the chapter 'Dink' the most. The pun intended here is just too good. I could relate to the probing aunts in the neighborhood who would literally try to gather as much personal information as they can possibly get. The cricket team comment was a nice one.
How many of you have been used like a doormat by others? The chapter 'Use Me' fits to this situation. And I think I would still support the hubby for his action.
I wonder if 'Plunder Tale' really happened. But yes, we do realize that sometimes we are surprised with people's unexpected behavior.
Each chapter starts with a pun intended quote. And I think I loved Albert Einstein's quote the most:
'Women marry men hoping they will change. Men marry women hoping they will not. So, each is inevitably disappointed.' LOL
Every chapter has a life situation handled and managed by the couples with a practical sense of humor, wit, and insights as well.
To sum up,
It's relatively easy to make someone cry than to make someone smile and laugh. And the author does it amazingly well. The author is really creative in her narratives filled with pragmatism, humor with sarcasm and pun intended.

After going through a good number of scifi, historic and life learning books, I picked up this book for some light humour and puns. And the book provided me with just what I wanted.
The book has several chapters with short stories or should I say myriad life instances or journey through the eyes of a couple. The author's sense of humour and wit created by the author while haring the couple's experience is amazing I must say.
I loved this book and out of all the chapters, I loved the chapter 'Dink' the most. The pun intended here is just too good. I could relate to the probing aunts in the neighborhood who would literally try to gather as much personal information as they can possibly get. The cricket team comment was a nice one.
How many of you have been used like a doormat by others? The chapter 'Use Me' fits to this situation. And I think I would still support the hubby for his action.
I wonder if 'Plunder Tale' really happened. But yes, we do realize that sometimes we are surprised with people's unexpected behavior.
Each chapter starts with a pun intended quote. And I think I loved Albert Einstein's quote the most:
'Women marry men hoping they will change. Men marry women hoping they will not. So, each is inevitably disappointed.' LOL
Every chapter has a life situation handled and managed by the couples with a practical sense of humor, wit, and insights as well.
To sum up,
It's relatively easy to make someone cry than to make someone smile and laugh. And the author does it amazingly well. The author is really creative in her narratives filled with pragmatism, humor with sarcasm and pun intended.

It's my first read from the Humor genre and I really enjoyed this book. This book is the story of Anu & Mr. Husband and their day-to-day life. Anu is an aspiring novelist who is struggling to finish writing her novel. Want to know what the stories are? Flip the book to the front, admire the cover, open the book and then start turning the pages. And remember to read in between the page turns.
Characters are well developed. The writing style is very simple, language is easy to understand and captive till the end, the author has a good command over language, the flow of the book is good. A simple and sweet book with sarcastic touch in it. Fast-paced book, I have finished the book in a day.
The book is divided into chapters. The quotes at beginning of every chapter are amazing. This was an unputdownable book.
I would recommend this book to everyone as this is a simple & sweet read, good for beginners as well.

This humorous book is about Anu and Mr. Husband. Anu wants to write a book but is struggling to write one and her distractions are so relatable and Mr. Husband is so witty and sarcastic in the book.
First of all, you can judge this book by its title. I love how witty the title is!!! The book has so many relatable scenes and I'm sure anyone who reads it will be able to relate.
It had been long since I read such a hilarious and witty book, the last I read something like this was Mrs. Funnybones by Twinkle Khanna and I loved it to bits and I guess this book is my new favorite in the genre.
The times are so tough and stressful these days but when a book like this comes along the way, it is everything that one needs. A light and humorous read that I'd recommend everyone to read to lighten up the mood.

It's a great work of comedy between a husband and a wife, their daily banter and the back and forth vocal battle that arises due to miscommunication... mostly because each is failing to grasp the other's sense of humour.
The chapters are quite short, and the episodes really really funny. The book is only of 82 pages, and if you want a quick laugh, this is the book for you.

Truly punny!
This is my first ever read of Namita, who is a zeal of energy. I just could not put it down from the moment I picked it up. I took no time to finish this as I had been so engrossed in this small yet refreshing book. I recall having a smile always as I read through. It's a small, cute collection and written in a simple yet in a way that directly connects with any reader. I get a feeling that even the non-readers would love it too. I loved it thoroughly and had a good time reading it. Great going, Namita!

I'll start off by saying that this isn't the kind of book that I usually read but as I read it on a Sunday afternoon, I found myself chuckling at times and truly laughing at others. This is a fast paced, concise, and extremely relatable work in which the writer has picked up rather mundane everyday situations and through a witty and often sarcastic narrative style presented a heartwarming and enjoyable story. If you are looking for a breezy lighthearted read to just relax with then this is the perfect book for you. Highly recommended.

What starts off as Anu's distracted attempts to write soon transforms into a series of hilarious episodes filled with oh-so-relatable incidents.
I loved the camaraderie between the lead couple, the witty comments, the sarcastic replies and how the couple navigates through a lot of incidents with a sense of humour that makes for a pleasant read from start to finish.
Tots makes his appearances from time to time and I would like to see a lot more of him in the next book.
Highly recommended!

Review: The book is of contemporary fiction genre, based on real life incidents.
You will find yourself laughing or smiling through the entire book, this book has actually come at a great time when people need to take their mind off the things .
The author has depicted the day-to-day incidents between the husband and wife in a very funny way. It bought me out of my reading slump.
The book is full of relevant incidents-and quotes.
Characterisation seemed real , plot was well funny.
I kind of liked the quotes here and there, the author has a good command over language, the flow of the book is good.

May 27, 2021Humorous Read.It was fun reading this book. Once started its difficult to stop. Generally reading a book makes me feel sleepy but would say this one having short stories and relatable incidents makes it an interesting read for me. Good one. Will surely recommend.

Funny...
Just like the title, the book is funny.. Oh hoo!!! May be hilarious is the apt word. I haven't read any book which kept me laughing throughout. I really loved the husband-wife combo. They do fight each other, different opinions, different ways of handling thing and then after these all dramas they love each other. Each chapter is each incidents. It totally loved the book and I want more. Very soothing book and if you are stress then do read this book and you will start forgetting your problems.
The book is really interacting with the reader and it is very unique piece of work. The really loved the writing style. The language is lucid and people from any age group can read this one. Highly recommended to all book lovers.

Very interesting series of short stories. This is story about Mrs Anu and her dealing with life. Day to day situation have been very well crafted into interesting stories that also give us many lessons. Must buy .
