A book of poetry that will change the way you think about love, moving on, past hurts, toxic relationships, self reflection, spirituality, anxiety and depression. For those that keep constantly finding and losing themselves throughout the waves of life. The constant pressures from society to be happy while dealing with depression and anxiety. Fading Into the Clouds is a beautiful piece of art that captures the human experience and the longing of self love, inner freedom, personal past traumas and mental health issues. My anxiety and depression are starting to become soulmates. Every time I split the two they find reasons to be together again. Still holding on to hope for this bad dream to be over one day.
I typically don’t read the poetry genre, but this was a nice and refreshing change of pace. There’s something raw about the almost free-verse, strung-together thoughts in each poem. And there’s a lot of poems - each one different, each one able to be related to on some level. I personally related to “Endless Times” - and I’ll admit I teared up. As I get ready to apply for college and maybe even move away from my hometown, I get really emotional. This book is also really relevant. This past year or so has been hard on a lot of us in many different ways, and while some of the poems in this book target 2020 and similar hardships, others just target the struggle of being human. I’m really happy to have received this request for a review from - finding new, hidden gems is a blessing, and even though I don’t usually read poetry/free-verse, I would recommend giving this book a try if you just want to feel heard or not alone in the world. (Also, the cover is so simplistic & so beautiful all in one!) My consensus for this new read: 5/5.

This author's work is full of feeling and emotions, sometimes to the point of raw pain dripping from his pages. There are brief flashes here and there of the amazing gift and beauty of Life, in this book. Perhaps my own life is not so bad after all.
Fading into the clouds is an emotive and reflective collection of free verses that takes the reader along a journey of disenchantment, heartbreak, pain, loss, but also love and healing. There are times throughout when the emotions conveyed can really be felt as the author uses words, language and situations that easily resonates. Great work by the author!
