I logged in for the first time in forever to write this review because I'm just so upset/disappointed. I believe the story was good although a little slow but the ending was so underwhelming and disappointing. I feel like I didn't know the characters anymore, that I didn't understand what had happened before. I just feel like the author lost me at some point. Don't get me wrong I thought Grey and Lia Mara were cute but like... what happened to Harper and Rhen? It was just an unsatisfactory ending to this series in my eyes and left a lot to be desired and known.
I received this and as an eARC to read for free in exchange for my honest review. Thank you to NetGalley and Bloomsbury USA Children's Books for giving me access.
I don't know why I do this to myself. This excerpt certainly did the job of sucking me back into Emberfall. Thankfully this is just about to be published so I can read the rest!
