Escape Earth. AVOID finding an alien husband. #EpicFail.
Ruby At some point a girl has to stop running. Escaping Earth via signing up to be a mail-order bride sounded smart. Escaping the alien husband she’d been matched to… even smarter. Stowing away on an alien ship expecting to find some little out of the way planet where she could live in peace… That’s where the bottom fell out of her life, a thousand miles above an alien planet. The owner of that vessel? Some blue, over-muscled, arrogant male who may have criminal ties to the Brotherhood. Ruby would be happy to jump ship once they reach a port. The problem? The zyanthan thinks he owns everything on his ship, including her. He can think whatever he wants. Ruby has plans, and they don’t include Torin.
Torin The human female thinks she can outwit Torin, use him and his ship to escape whatever she’s running from. He’ll play her games, but only for so long. The men in the criminal organization he’s dealing with are dangerous, and Ruby’s curiosity and stubbornness could get him and his entire crew killed. He needs to do something about her. She’s driving him crazy, but he can’t walk away from her or dump her on some planet, one where she can breathe the atmosphere, of course. The answer might be to marry her, but that doesn’t fit his plans. But it would be kind of fun, especially since she can’t stand him.

A Warrior For Every Bride Alien Found is a steamy Mail Order Bride Romance with a Bossy Alien, Stuck Together, Enemies to Lovers trope and a few twists along the way. Each book in the series ends in a very Happy Ever After.

I'm really enjoying this series so far! I really love these tough, honorable, Zyanthan warriors, and these resilient heroines who don't give up even in the face of world crushing adversity.
With that being said, I struggled with this one a little bit more than the first one. I had a hard time feeling the connection between Ruby and Torin. These two had such a mountain of issues and baggage to overcome. It caused this push and pull, hot and cold action between them that in the beginning I didn't really believe that their feelings had progressed to what they were saying.
Ruby had been abused and treated terribly by her piece of crap ex-husband. She had been betrayed and had to escape earth to save her life. So she is jumpy and distrustful. Torin is hiding big secrets and has the fate of his world riding on his shoulders. So he keeps people at a distance.
Yet despite all that they face, they are drawn to each other. Their trust and love grows as they overcome each obstacle that jumps in their path. They came such a long way to finally be with each other.
This was a little rocky in the beginning. I had a hard time with Torin constantly pushing Ruby away, even though he had good reasons. My heart kept breaking right along with Ruby's. In the end, things seem to work themselves out but I wish we had been able to have a little more time with them together.
Even though this is an ARC review, I will always shoot you straight. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This story comes with a pertinent trigger warning - the female lead’s backstory includes sexual assault and there are a couple of scenes which could be triggering for some. I found the female lead highly sympathetic and engaging. I appreciated how she was genuinely fighting to be free and independent in a universe that suppressed female voices and spirits.
The male lead was carrying some trauma issues from his history and that led him to make some paradoxical choices at multiple points in the story.
Each of these characters was working towards their own self-actualisation and their paths should have included each other. I’d say this story ends with a HFN - I really didn’t feel it was resolved in any meaningful manner and I’d be interested to see how these characters progress in the next story in the series.
The story is dual POV, well written and edited, with serious themes and major character development. I found it frustrating at a couple of points because of character choices yet they were totally comprehensible.

To escape a death sentence on earth, Ruby signed up to be a mail order bride. But she didn’t sign up for was a whole lot of sexual assault and abuse. So as soon as she could she escaped from her brutal “husband-to-be” and Stowed away on one of the few outgoing ships. Unfortunately, or rather fortunately for the story sake, the ship she chose is commanded by Torin. A blue skinned the alien warrior who has a mission. A mission to infiltrate the brotherhood. The very organization that Ruby is on the run from. Not like you’re of them knows this. Because they both have their secrets. Secrets that could tear them and the system apart.

As with other books in the series, this book needs some trade warnings: domestic abuse, rape, sexual slavery, prostitution, misogyny, sexism, physical abuse, emotional abuse, PTSD, and panic attacks. Please make sure you’re in a good place before reading this book.
I didn’t love this book as much as I like the previous two. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that while I understand the reasons that neither protagonist communicated with the other, it didn’t make it any less frustrating. There also were some frustrating time skips in this book. Time skips where I wasn’t quite sure when and even where we were in the story.
I liked Ruby’s story. I like that she’s a survivor. I also like that she didn’t let her self sink into depression even when it would be so easy to allow that to happen. What I didn’t like about Ruby was that sometimes she really didn’t think things through. While she’s a survivor, a lot of that has to do with luck and not an ability to read the situation.
I found Torin frustrating as well. As an undercover agent who is attempting to infiltrate a fairly ruthless syndicate, I get that he’s got some serious secrets. Secrets that could get him killed. Six I can get his family killed. Secrets I could get his crew killed. He’s also got some serious loyalty toward his people almost to a death seeker extent. However that being said I didn’t love that he kept lying not just to Ruby but also to himself. He frustrated me. And I didn’t love that.
I also felt that the story felt incomplete. Like sure the hero and heroine have found each other but the plot that has kept them apart throughout the book wasn’t really resolved well. Not even with a this will continue in the future books. But it felt lackluster.
That doesn’t mean that there isn’t good in this book, they are absolutely is. The sex is well done. And I did like the infiltration plot line. I just wanted it handled a little bit better.
And all I did enjoy this book but I didn’t love it.
I didn't care for Torin in the last book. He slipped into bed naked with Emily also being naked and felt her up! He knew his brother was in love with her.
This book wasn't better. Torin thought about when he pursued 2 sisters at the same time. Jerk... He constantly burned hot and cold. He constantly lied or refused to answer questions.
I had mixed feelings about Ruby. I felt bad for what she went through but she should have appreciated Torin more.. "She didn't owe him anything. Not the truth, not her respect. Nothing" She did owe him. She stowed away on his ship. He fed and clothed her. He was going to give her a ride home.. He could get in big trouble for transporting a bride with no papers. I get that she was abused in the past but she was too snarky and childish in the beginning. It was annoying.
I ended up hating Toren. He constantly gave mixed messages... He hid Ruby in brothel, flirted with Ajanna, then went down on Ruby.. Then, he tells her he has to send her away because a ship is no place for a female. What an a$$! She was a rape victim. I felt she should have been harder to get. She just let him walk all over her. She knew he constantly lied to her and kept secrets, yet, she accepted it. And why would she run away from Torin while on a slaver planet. Foolish.. Then Torin signs her bride contract with no intention of keeping her without her consent. She was understandably mad and then he hid from her on the ship for days. He didn't even tell her they were dropping her off at a planet in a few days. What a coward. When she's had enough, she tracks him down and screws him. He then tells her that they are just friends. When he pretended to be with The Brotherhood and treated her $hitty, she still wanted to screw him. Talk about being a doormat. Geez.
I didn't care for either mcs. At 50% in almost dnf. I skimmed the rest of the book. I will try the next book.. Hopefully it will be better. This book also ended abruptly with no closure

Ruby has never met a man she could trust to not abuse her, let alone love her. She was given to an evil man by The Coalition as his sex slave. When he tries to kill her, she accidentally pushes him and he falls off the roof of the building. She runs for her life, because there is no justice system on earth anymore. She knows she will be executed if she is caught. In desperation, she signs up as a mail order bride and taken to a far away planet, where she is bought by another cruel man. She escapes him, taking her “bride papers” with her. She sneaks on the first ship she sees that is ready to leave. She hides in the “attic” of the ship, thinking no one will ever look for her there.
Torin owns The Relentless and carries cargo around the universe, at least that’s his cover. He finds her right away and agrees to let her work for her passage back to earth. Well, that’s the last place she wants to go, but she can’t tell him that so she agrees. The first port they land in, she takes off, only to be kidnapped by some other alien. Torin finds her and brings her back to the ship. Finally, she has to tell him that she is running from her “almost” husband and is wanted for murder back on earth. He agrees to get her passage to a planet where she will be safe. By this time he realizes she is his mate, but knows the double life he is leading that she is not safe with him. So he tries to get rid of her only to have to rescue her again. Can a girl be any more unlucky that Ruby? He finally dumps her at his brother’s farm and takes off the save his planet by himself. Ruby is furious! Will these star crossed lovers ever get it right?
Great book from start to finish!! Can’t wait for the next one in the series!

Both Ruby and Torin have a pretty heavy secret they are guarding; revenge takes Torin to a path that will put him in contact with the enemy and destroy his future and reputation among his people while Ruby's secret takes her as far away as she can get. But like Torin, she doesn't just want a quiet safe life, she wants to take action so she can have a relaxed quiet safe life and a better world for others. Each has a drive to take action and keep other's safe, but Ruby lacks direction for that action and Torin lacks direction for what comes afterwards.
What does it take to move on from revenge, and what would be enough to turn someone from a fighting injustice at the expense of their loved ones? This story has great tension and emotional confusion between the two main characters. Revelations come at inconvenient times and stirring plot twists take things in the wrong direction in all the right ways!

A WARRIOR FINALLY DEFEATED This series is a winner and I can't wait for more! The characters are engaging and you want them to get their HEA. There is a lot of action, danger, deep friendships and passion. Ruby is on the run. To get away from Earth she signs up as a mail order bride. She runs from her (almost) husband and stows away on the first ship she can get into. The Relentless. The ships owner, Torin, might be the greatest danger to her yet. Her saves her several times, acts like he really cares, and then pushes her away. Torin has lost so much. He doesn't want a mate, someone to love, that could be taken from him. On a special, very dangerous mission, he decides to push her away for her own protection. Can they find the fortitude to find a way together or will they suffer apart? There are appearances from characters in the book Alien Wanted. This is enjoyable on its own, but better in order.

The second part of a series but if you missed the first part you can still read this one and then go back because you know you will want to ! Two " broken " but feisty characters who refuse to accept or acknowledge their need for one another and almost lose themselves in the process. Misplaced desires to protect themselves and others lead them both into mortal danger that honest communication could have avoided . Not a sweet roses romance but a brutal nitty gritty romance in the midst of a war torn universe full of betrayals and hurt and not always by the enemy

This is Ruby and Torin's tale. Ruby has been charged with a crime she is not guilty of. She ends up hiding on ships as she travels space looking for a safe haven. Torin is Mak's brother and his background becomes clearer as this story unfolds. It is a very complicated story with a lot happening with these two characters as they struggle to build their relationship. It's up and down, emotional and frustrating, but they get there in the end. Thoroughly enjoyed. Now it's time for Jade and Havok. I kinda guessed they would be a pairing. :)
This is a wonderful story of two fated mates that just happen to end up together. Even though i knew it was a HEA book. It had me feeling everything the characters were going through. It was wonderful and I know i will be buying the series to read over and over. Plenty of heat and love and lots of interesting characters throughout the book.

This is really an awesome sci-fi romance!! I absolutely loved it! It has adventure, danger and suspense.. The interactions between the characters are emotional and heart-satisfying.. The books in this series just keep getting better and better.

I figured this would be super cute because Torin was so funny in the previous book. Unfortunately he was very different in this one. I didn’t like the back and forth. And while it ended fine, it wasn’t a great ending. I’m disappointed. I liked Havok in this book but does that mean I won’t like him in the next? 😬
An action packed alien romance with two of the most stubborn, non communicating, adorable couples I have read about in a while. Ruby and Torin were definitely created by fate to be each other’s perfect mate. Their interactions were comical and frustrating. I loved the supporting characters of Torin’s crew as well as the world building. This is an exciting series and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Torin and Ruby was an awesome story. He lies to protect Ruby but finally realizes the truth makes him relieved because he has hurt her again. When Torin finally admits his love and that Ruby is his soulmate, they finally find happiness and peace.
Ruby is running from Earth and from the alien husband she was matched to. The people on Earth want to kill her and the alien husband wanted to rape her. She stows away on an alien ship trying to find anyplace she can go for some peace. She finds the "attic" on the ship and when she wakes there is a blue alien standing over her that happens to be the captain of the ship. Torin knows that the human that stowed away on his ship has been lying to him but he's on a mission to deal with the criminals that are part of the Brotherhood. Torin happens to be an officer of the law and he needs to find out what Ruby is really running from. They end up going from enemies to Lovers with some stops along the way. This story about Torin and Ruby was a enjoyable read in this series. Ruby signed up to the mail-order bride to escape the fate of killing her abusive owner a member of the Brotherhood only to be bought by another domineering male so she sneaks aboard Torin's spaceship. When Torin catches Ruby in his hold, he makes her clean the ship for room and board and she gets close to the crew and the aloof Torin. Torin and his crew are on a secret mission to infiltrate The Brotherhood on Earth so when Ruby sees the Brotherhood marks on his horn she flees getting passage on another ship. Torin follows her and thinking Ruby is going to a safe world goes to complete his mission only to find Ruby dragged to the Brotherhood Warlord. What will Torin do? Will they escape? This is a "hot and cold" relationship as the two struggle on trust issues versus desires in this Sci-fi romance I volunteer to read and review via Booksprout.
There are times when, honestly, I could have shaken Ruby for being so untrusting and later so dense not to realise how Torin felt about her. Torin though is tied up in such a web of his own making that I don't think he sees any way out of it. His own honour is all that he has and yet that seems to be forcing him to make the wrong decisions. Ruby is fighting for more than herself just wanting to be her own person whileTorin, being a stubborn male, is trying to shoulder blame that isn't his. With all the political shenanigans added on top will either of them make it, least of all together. This is a great read and there is far more to the story than at first glance. The details of which I hope will slowly be explained in the coming books and I eagerly anticipating them.

This is Ruby and Torin's complicated story. Ruby has been charged with murder and has to escape Earth. She tries to become a mail order bride. She has bad experiences, escapes, and ends up hiding on a ship so she can find a safe planet to live on since she cannot go back to Earth.
When Ruby gets on Torin’s ship and he wants to take her back to Earth, things get complicated as she tries to avoid that. It seems he has to rescue her often as she gets herself in trouble. They eventually figure out they are mates. Will they accept a relationship with each other? Or does Torin have to keep her away for her own safety?
*In a harsh setting, the road to romance can be tough!*
Sometimes life sucks — the world can be a dark place. Good people may be forced to do things they’d rather not in pursuit of the greater good. With enemies closing in from all sides, can two people manage to find happiness together? That’s the question that Torin and Ruby explore in this page-turner of a sci-fi romance. This is beautifully crafted story with complex and likable characters, a complicated romance with lots of chemistry, and absolutely fantastic world-building.
*Spoilers* to follow
Ruby escapes from a terrible situation on Earth the only way she can: by becoming a mail order bride to an alien. After that also goes wrong, she has to escape yet again...this time by stowing away on Torin’s ship: The Relentless. (If you read the previous book in the series, you may remember Torin as Makov’s elder brother.)
Torin is basically an undercover space cop. You find out pretty early that he is attempting to infiltrate the evil Brotherhood organization. Unfortunately, this is the same group that wants to kill Ruby. Because he is torn between pursuing his mission and his own personal desires, Torin can be understandably hot/cold in his behavior towards Ruby.
Torin is forced to pull the “I’m doing this hurtful thing to protect you” multiple times because the danger to himself and everyone he cares about is *very* real. He has to do things he knows he will regret...but when the alternative could result in the deaths of millions, is there really a choice? It can be hard to watch him make some of the decisions he does, but his POVs show that under the tough exterior, he’s a sweet and caring guy who is doing his best to do the right thing under harsh circumstances.
Ruby is an unbelievably resilient, strong, and sarcastic gal. I really liked her. Her life before the book was pretty messed up, and it was hard to watch her and Torin struggle. It’s so clear how much she cares about the guy, and I hated watching him unintentionally hurt her. Despite the crazy journey, I think their HEA will be a lasting one.

Plot twist and lots of sizzle throughout. This book was certainly captivating with a HEA and a cliff hanger. This book certainly made me want to read more and look forward to the next. Characters and storyline was super I recieved a free copy via Booksprout and I’m giving my review freely and honestly
This is Torin and Ruby’s story. It has a lot of twists, a lot of action and some very steamy scenes. It ends in a happily ever after but there’s also a bit of a cliffhanger, a sudden stop at the end which makes me want to read the next book straight away to find out what happens. It’s definitely a must read.

This story jumps right into the action. I remember thinking in the first chapter that I wondered if there was another book before this or possibly a prequel. It doesn’t take away from this book, as I believe this can be read as a stand alone. That being said, I am very happy this is a series and I can refer back to book one for more insight into the authors world building and characters.
I am very much looking forward to the next in this series. Amazon shows four in the series with two more after this story. This one due in April, the 3rd in June, and 4th in August. Yea!
This story follows Ruby and Torin. I also loved getting to know the other characters and am hopeful that the future stories include them.
I definitely recommend this book, especially for those who like SFR, series, or just fun, easy romance reads.

Julie, you did it again, it's the second book in this series and it's a really great science fiction romance !! This is the story of Ruby and Torin. Ruby has been charged with a crime she is not guilty of and so she is on the run from an organization on Earth that wants her dead. She hides on Torin's ship as she travels through space in search of a safe haven. He is undercover with the same organization which can cause problems. Torin is Mak's brother and his background becomes clearer as this story unfolds. At some point they finally start working together. How will this end? I absolutely loved it! It has adventure, danger and excitement. The interactions between the characters are emotional and satisfying, there is plenty of sarcasm and steam between the two. This story is great, it's entertaining and filled with action, adventure, and intrigue. The interaction and chemistry between the characters of Ruby and Torin is wonderful. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
The author has pulled us into the lives of humans becoming mail order bride for aliens. We are taken to planets that are not quite what we are used to. The story keeps you turning the pages with lust/love, suspense, danger and action.

Wow! This had mystery, love and bad guys who want to take an entire planet. She is on the run from people on earth who want her dead. He is undercover with the same organization which could cause problems. They finally start working together and get the mission done which was a relief. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this story line. The two brothers are now settled but does it end there? I guess I will have to wait and see.
