About the author

Hiro Mashima (Jap: 真島ヒロ) is a Japanese manga artist.

He gained success with his first serial Rave, published in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine from 1999 to 2005. His best-selling work, Fairy Tail, published in the same magazine from 2006 to 2017, became one of the best-selling manga series with over 72 million copies in print. Mashima began the currently ongoing Edens Zero in 2018.

Fairy Tail won the Kodansha Manga Award for shōnen manga in 2009, and Mashima was given the Harvey Awards International Spotlight award in 2017 and the Fauve Special Award at the 2018 Angoulême International Comics Festival.

This one got my blood boiling!! Muller makes me blood thirsty. Also finding out about Jinn and Kleene just put me over the edge. Weisz was COLD in this one, and I love him even more.

Die interstellare Armee greift ein und erklärt Shiki und seine Freunde zu Feinden. Doch Elsie greift ebenfalls ein und so kommt es, dass die größten Fraktionen aufeinander treffen. Das ist noch nicht alles, denn Homura wird gefangen genommen, was Shiki zur Weißglut treibt. Um seine Freundin zu retten sind ihm alle Mittel recht. Hermit hingegen muss gegen ihre eigene Vergangenheit ankämpfen, aber auch hier ist Hilfe in Sicht.

Das Cover gefällt mir wieder richtig gut. Ich liebe die Gesichtsausdrücke, die Entschlossenheit signalisieren. Der Zeichenstil ist wieder gewohnt großartig. Hiro Mashima hat ein Talent für Charaktere und die Verbindung zwischen ihnen.

In diesem Manga erleben wir Elsie, wie wir sie noch nicht erlebt haben. Ich finde ihren Charakter einfach spannend. Denn egal wie viel sie von sich preisgibt, man weiß, dass es immer noch nicht alles ist. Ich finde auch die Roboterarmee in diesem Band sehr gelungen. Hiro spielt mit vielen Elementen von Science Fiction bis hin zu Fantasy, wodurch Edens Zero so einzigartig ist.

Edens Zero ist eine klasse Fantasy-Weltraum-Geschichte, die mit tollen Charaktere, einzigartigen Planeten und ganz viel Humor punkten kann.

Tercera lectura del año y esta vez se trata de uno de mis mangas favoritos, el que he leído más que todos los demás y que me sigue emocionando a pesar de ya haber leído 15 volúmenes.
La historia retorna al punto donde quedó, con un problema grande para los personajes principales, con una batalla de gigantes a punto de desarrollarse, Hermit enfrentándose a uno de sus mayores temores y un montón de locura pasando.
La historia está llegando ya a la mitad y en este punto es natural que muchos secretos y cosas vayan saliendo a la luz. Esto nos dio un gran desarrollo en personajes como Justice, Jinn, Kleene y sobre todo Elsie, que diría que es el personaje que más me gusta que hayan desarrollado porque es de los más interesantes de este manga.
Aquí nos centramos más en personajes como Elsie, Hermit, Weisz, Jinn y Kleene, dejando de lado un poco el foco en Shiki, Rebecca y Happy, algo que se agradece, porque es bueno ver desarrollo de otros personajes y que brillen un poco más. La historia cada vez me mete un poco más y con la presentación del grupo de villanos que se tomará esta parte de la historia todo se pone más interesante. Espero leer el próximo tomo muy pronto.

We finally get the mystery of the Kleene and Jinn as they become full members of the Eden Zero crew and their backstory got really dark really fast as we learn why Jinn is a cyborg and why Kleene should not feel any emotion. We also got some plot details about Ziggy's past with Nero and Elise and her relationship with Justice which is basically Erza and Jellal 2.0 which I really liked as those two were two of my favorite characters.

5/5 Another top notch volume. Were introduced to Ziggy’s mentor Xenolith. We also get to see an epic showdown between Justice and Elsie. Finally we get Jinn and Kleene’s back story and an epic showdown with the robotic Dr. Muller who reminds me so much of Dr. Wily. Now we’re building up to a showdown with Ziggy, the Edens Zero crew, and Nero’s Forces.

They amount of screen shots I got of this one! Justice and Elise yesss! Jinn won me over in this one! I'd been on the fence but the last couple of chapters he won me over. Them backstories always get you. And Muller......f$%k that sorry sack of s@#t! Seeing Weisz get all murder intent. Hot!
