Bitten Captive is much more action packed than its predecessor. And...the drama! If you haven't read it, stop reading.

Zev, the Lycan Alpha from a once thought dead bloodline, comes into his own at the end of book one. At the beginning of book two, he is surrounded by his mate, Roxana, and his fledgling but loyal pack mates. It's the end of winter break and tension is high and apprehension is higher as the true alpa and his pack return to the academy faced with opposition. The bulk of that opposition comes from Roxanne's ex-best friend/sister, Kori, who has spent her entire life wanting everything she was missing. Now that she finds out that she has rights to the Grim name, she considers herself the heir apparent and by-proxy alpha of all wolves at Blood Born. While Mason and Zev have a sort of background conflict. Kori is the primary villain, and her part is written out perfectly. I must admit, howeve, that I was a bit disappointed to find out that she had absolutely no loyalty Roxana at all. In the end, she gets her comeuppance so thoroughly, I almost feel bad for her. Almost.

While I enjoyed book two more in some ways than I did book one, especially with the introduction of more characters, especially Minnie, I was a bit underwhelmed by Roxana's angst and distress. Less time spent on her insecurities and family drama would have made for a better story. Hopefully, she becomes more of an equal and an asset to Zev in book three.

“Bitten Captive” is the second installment in the “Bloodborn Academy Series”, a new addiction to the supernatural academy genre by Emera Rose and Liz Knox, intended for mature readers as it depicts some explicit situations that would be triggering in some cases.

Roxana, who has anointed herself Queen B at the academy is focused in convincing everyone that she is in fact the true alpha at the academy, much to Mason’s annoyance, who keeps ‘working’ against her. Bloodborn Academy has always been very exclusive, looking down on werewolves, and highlighting the superiority of purebred Lycans. Roxana’s position as the heir of the most powerful Lycan bloodline and Mason Grim intention to challenge her position made for a very good plot. The story is fast paced, action-rich, and filled with supernatural romance. An academy story for adult readers, that relies heavily in the ‘inner beast’ and ‘opposites attract’ tropes to build the plot.

Oh man so you know book one ends with a cliffy and now we pick up where we left off. Well when I said that crap hits the fan in book one, well it gets crazier in book two. We find out more about Roxana's dad and let me just say I hope he gets what is coming to him. Anyways now that Roxana is not wanting anything to do with her dad because of what he has done, she has no idea how to go about society. She is not used to being the top person. She is now considered below her status and her sister is trying to take her place. Well then sister still does not like the fact that she is still being compared to Roxana and decides to do something about that. Well this is not good. So someone will try for a big power play and use this little tidbit to their advantage. Lets not count out Zev's pack. They will come through and when they do, everyone better watch out. I will be patiently waiting for the next book to come out. It should be epic.

Whew!!!! Bitten Captive by Liz Knox and Emera Rose was a mind-boggling ride with Zev and Roxana. They are mates. But, his rise to Alpha was fraught with dissension. Now, factions are fighting for the prize…and Roxana is the pawn.

Wow….what an emotional roller-coaster!!! LOVED THIS STORY!!!! The characters are well defined and the story line is unparalleled!!! I won’t give anything away….but, you can’t miss this story!!!! Ends in a cliffhanger….one I can’t wait to see the outcome of!!!!

Book 2 in the Bloodborn Academy is an awesome read. This book reeled me in and set me on an emotional roller coaster ride. Zev and Roxana were great characters who have a few dramas in their path. A well written book with determined and strong characters is all you need to enjoy reading this book. These authors are both amazing in their own right but together they have produced a great series. This story is getting very exciting and I cannot wait to read more especially after we were left on a cliffhanger.

Zev is the Lycan Alpha and Roxana is his mate. It is the end of winter break and Zev and Roxana are headed back to the academy for some serious drama. Kori, who is Roxana's ex best friend does not like to be overlooked and that is exactly what happens. Between Kori and Roxana's father, this was not a dull read. Nope!! These two authors definitely do not disappoint. I do not like to give spoilers but this is a great read. I'm so very excited for book three!! If you are in a reading slump start this series. You will not be sorry.

Bitten Captive is book two of the Bloodborn Academy series and it picks up where book one Bitten Magic left off. I recommend you read book one before this one or you will be lost. Zev and Roxana's story is action packed and filled with suspense, danger, fated mates, and twists that had me reading nonstop. I don't want to give away anything about this story but it will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions as you take the journey with Zev and Roxana. I can't wait to read the next book in this series to find out what happens next for these amazing characters. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

This series is getting more and more attention getting with each new installment.
Zen is the new alpha and Roxana is the old alphas daughter, who her father is using as a pawn to try to keep tabs on Zev. When Zeus attention is being taken else where, Roxana is being left alone and bullied.
When she is taken and can not be found, Zev with do anything in his power to find her even losing to her father in a challenge fight.
They are mated and in love with each other and that makes them a powerful couple to take on, no matter who they go against.

Zev, Roxana, and the others are back at the academy and the battle lines have been drawn with Kori and her pack. Will they be able to get thru the year or will something happen to one or them all? This book as action, emotions, a whole of twist, and you will be pulled in and keep you on the edge of your seat and your head spinning with everything you find out. I was expecting one thing and than boom all the sudden it takes you in a whole new world of the unexpected. An amazing read by these to ladies and so can't wait to see what they have next.

The excitement is ramping up in this story! Back at The Blood Born Academy but things are different now. Roxana is no longer at the top. She has to fight her insecurities about being viewed as less while Zev gets more and more attention. She is fighting with her dad and Kori is out to make her life miserable.

You really feel for Roxana and the emotions she is dealing with. Zev doesn’t mean to be blind to it but he only makes her feel even more insecure at times. He realizes just how much he needs her when she is in danger and he can’t help her.

The ending definitely leaves you wanting the rest of the story. Can’t wait to for Zev’s confrontation with Mason.

This is an exciting page-turner in the BLOODBORN ACADEMY series! Zev is the alpha and Roxana is the old alpha’s daughter. The story line is well-written with excellent pacing and characters who are engaging. Combined with a bit of drama, likeable characters, and mate chemistry, this book is definitely recommended to entertain you with a rollercoaster ride of emotions and a big sigh at the end as we wait for the next one!

An exciting addition to the series!

The next book of this series was worth the wait. Zev and Roxana journey continues like it ended with lots of action, danger and a love that cannot be denied. There’s a lot of twist in the storyline that kept me entertained from start to finish. And that ended of this newest release was seriously jaw dropping. I can’t wait to see what happen next in this paranormal romance read that doesn’t disappoint.

Holy Toledo I couldn't put this book down it's so full of action you can't look away from the pages. To say Zev and Roxana's story is thrilling would be a understatement however it does end in a cliffhanger which only has me jonesing for the next book Bitten Mate so much that I've already preordered it.

I have absolutely fallen for Zev and Roxana. There is more going on now that we have returned to classes. More action, suspense and twists that had my jaw drop and kept me glued to the story. I couldn’t put it down. I need more and need to know what will happen. You just need to pick this up. Get sucked into the magic. You have to read Bitten Magic first.

After having read the first one I had to continue the journey. It has become a challenge to say the least in this world. Power is at play in this also but that is also has it always is. Roxana keeps us on the pages and this gets wonkers at times. Would like to bonk Zev to wake him up. Keep turning those pages.
