Rate this book
Abby Waither is caught up in the whirlwind of a media storm. Everyone believes that a notorious serial killer has finally been arrested, and she’s receiving credit for it. Something that would be a pipedream at her day job as a museum curator. But Abby soon discovers that the murder suspect in custody was nothing more than a smokescreen. The real mastermind behind this is still roaming free and eager to spill more blood. While she tries to convince Detective Deon Studer that the case hasn’t been solved yet, the killer raises the stakes.

Abby will have to learn a hard lesson about sacrifice while racing against time once again. But this is no ordinary chase. Someone she loves is facing death while in the clutches of a cold-blooded killer. Can she outsmart the person behind all of these gruesome murders?

With more graffiti art popping up around Durban, can Abby discover who this secretive artist is before it is too late?

A Great Murder Mystery with Lots of Punches

The author writes a magnetic thriller, binging back some authentic characters, new seedy players, fascinating dialogue, and vivid settings. Abby Waither, the Chief Curator of the Afro-Art Community Museum, continues to examine graffiti left at the scene of two murders. Detective Deon Studer believes the killings may be gang-related. When the police arrest Grey Shadow, Abby becomes the target of an anonymous antagonist. The well-written storyline has some razor-edge scenarios, calamity, mischief, deceit, and media-hype. This absorbing narrative throws some unexpected curveballs, building up to an ending you will never see coming.

Even though Deon and the other police officers believed they had the killer in custody, Abby had her intuition telling her that it was not so. She was right and from this thought the whole plot of this book unravels. It´s full of action, some really threatening and heartbreaking, but Abby always feels that she can rely on family and friends. A good ending for a very interesting series! Entertaining!

When Abby Waither was asked to assist Detective Deon Struder in his investigation, she had no idea that the killer would bring her into his world, threatening not only herself but her child. Quick, fast read and conclusion to CHASING SHADOWS prt 1

What a tense exciting ending to the investigation. Abby and her daughter are in danger. I won't reveal more than that. If you read Pt. 1, you definitely have to finish the story.
