How to Rom Com #5

How to Get Auctioned to a Billionaire

Rate this book
Jane (Mary)
How crappy is my life right now? Let’s review.
1) Late getting my shady boss his coffee, wearing half of it on my shirt.
2) Noticing my name on documents I never signed.
3) Finding said shady boss dead on the bathroom floor.

Power and money run the world, which means I’m screwed. And on the run. Except I zig when I should have zagged—and find myself auctioned off to the highest bidder. It’s just one night, just one date with an impossibly good-looking guy. It’ll be a mistake. But worth it for one chance to let loose and get wild.

* * *

Hudson
From the day my dad handed me the keys to his corporate kingdom, I’ve lived large. But lately, it doesn’t feel like... enough. Every time I think I’ve found someone special, it’s just another someone-for-now. But the woman on the win-a-date auction block is different.

Dark eyes, dark hair, sassy attitude. She puts me in my place with an ease that takes my breath away. She’s also got brains, and a good heart. But there’s always a catch. And when hers breaks loose, so does all hell….

Jane runs the office for a construction company. Woody Haron is her sleazy boss. After coming across some forged documents, Jane begins to assess the situation and realizes that she has been used. One dead boss later, and Jane is on the run. No, Jane didn't kill him and after those documents she'd found, who'd believe her now? No one.
Hudson Paulsen, powerful billionaire, has watched his closest friends settle down. He's the the last man standing. Normally, that would be okay and sure casual was nice, but...not...real. Hudson wanted real. It's just lately, it would be nice for him to have someone to come home to. With his looks and bank account, Hudson could have any woman. But, he just doesn't want any woman, Hudson wants love.
Finding herself auctioned to the highest bidder, a freaking billionaire, was not part of the plan. This would only complicate things for Jane. Hudson was more than fine with the complication. He knew exactly what he was doing when he bid on Jane. What he didn't know was how it was going to affect his ego. It seems Jane isn't very interested and in Hudson's world he's used to women swooning over him, so that just makes him want her more. Jane is sure that won't be the case when he finds out that she's wanted by the police.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK ! FANTASTIC STORY WITH CRAZY, INTENSE CHEMISTRY AND MIND BLOWING SEX ! ! ! THIS STORY IS AMAZING AND A MUST READ ! ! !

Laugh out loud AMAZING!!!

London Casey has always written amazing books. This new How to series has been a jaw dropping come back. She has take. The indie world to new heights with these stories. This book has taken things to an all time high. I laughed so much. And loudly. Hudson is my new book boyfriend. I loved Hudson and Jane/Mary's banter back and forth. A man who is use to getting his way only to have Jane turn him down. She didn't care that he had money. Hudson was drawn to her because she was more real and spoke her mind. What he didn't know was what she was hiding from him. How long can Jane keep her secret? Will they survive if the truth ever comes out? You'll have to read and find out for yourself. I promise you will enjoy their journey and laugh so much throughout the book. I have a book hangover now because I had to know what was happening next. You'll end up with one as well. What are you waiting for? Stop reading this review and start reading How to Get Auctioned to a Billionaire yourself. Deserves way more than five stars!!!

Enjoyable.

Not read this author before, read an advert on either Facebook or Instagram and liked the look of it. It’s book 5 of a series and for the most part it is a stand-alone. The problem l had was, Hudson had a group of work associates, l had no reference to understand any of their relationships but the worse was his very best friends. Seems there was a huge amount of background story, who was with who and why. Why inappropriate stuff was said without any kind of come back? So, I realise to get full value from this series it might be the best thing to go and read the series in order.
It says enough that l enjoyed this book even without the backstory, enough that l am now going to download book 1. A good read but I think the book should be read in the order of the series for the best reading outcome.

Laughter and romance, definitely!

There are truly laugh-out-loud moments in this book, which I rarely find in rom-coms. Some of the situations and conversations this author came up with had me incredulous (in a good way), and blushing or laughing right along with the characters. The side characters were equally interesting (though Jefferson was in a league by himself). The chemistry was palpable, and the sexytimes tastefully done. This book was fast-paced, action packed, lots of romance and laughter. The characters so well written, I felt as if I would know them if I saw them. I really liked Athena, I hope she has her own book. There were only a couple of 'yeah, that wouldn't happen' moments/issues, and a few loose ends, but not enough to detract much from the overall story. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves laughter to go with romance.

Not amazing

This book was ok, a Little weird if anything ! I did not really feel the spark between the main characters like in the first book! Callie and Jackson were fire , but if I think about it , none of the books in this series compared to “How to marry your frenemy”! I kept reading them hoping that I would see that same spark and writing in the next books but they are not as amazing as the first one!The book was a little boring at times and some of the dates felt forced and it took too much time before the main characters even met, like 20% of the book which was not interesting and could have done without , I would have preferred a more extended ending than the long beginning !

Billionaire bonking

Well well well, i really enjoyed this one, through a chance meeting Hudson sees Mary, then coincidently sees her up on stage and someone is bidding on her but hell no, no one but him is going to get her, and boy did he ever, these 2 are such a cute couple, but then the crap hits the fan, Mary is Jane and Jane is on the run, totally read this in one sitting could not put it down, so well written, beautifully written in fact, can't wait to read Dax's story.

Loved this story.

I hate only giving 5 Stars to a story that deserves so much more. This is one of those books. It had so much depth, intrigue, laughter, tears and love. The laughter and tears were mine, I am an emotional reader when I get into a great book. I could write about the descriptions of the people, places and things but it's more of how the book felt to me. Just couldn't put it down but then I didn't want it to end. Thanks for such great entertainment. :)

Too long.

This book was too long and a lot of details needed to be explained. Not sure in this day and time you can go that long without somebody knowing what you could have done. Things were just weird I this book. Who pays two million for a date? I know it's fiction but come on. What happened at the end was too fast. Not even believable.

Loved this!

This was a good book about billionaire Hudson and Jane. Jane is a working girl, on the run from an incriminating event. I love how Hudson and Jane meet! I didn’t want the book to end.

Well....

The drama in this one is crazy. There's so much happening. I loved it all though. These two are meant to be together.
The hot scenes, the laughter, the craziness of the boys together. It all just works.

Fantastic Series

Jane was on the run.
She meets Hudson completely by accident.
Hudson mistakes her for a waitress and Jane puts him in check.
From that moment on Hudson is hooked.

How To Get Auctioned To A Billionaire no 5

Well that was a lot to read! I didn't expect the type of sub plot that was there. That was a vital addition to the story.

DNF at page 42

The plot, and the dialogue was so bad and juvenile I couldn't even continue. Save yourself the time and trouble and just pass this series on by.

Hudson's story

Honestly, I had a hard time getting into this one. I felt like it dragged on a bit, but once everything came to a head, it turned into a really great story.

This is book 5 of the How To Series, but can be read as a standalone, and each book just keeps getting better. Hudson and Mary ( Jane ) meet after he bids for a date with her at charity auction. The banter between these two was laugh out loud hilarious. I loved how Hudson is a man who is used to getting what he wants, and is drawn to Jane because she speaks her mind and doesn't care about his money. This was another amazing read from London.

Jane ( Mary) and Lincolns story is by far my favourite out of the How to series. And Lincoln is just so loveable and Hot and will do anything to meet up and spend time with Jane( Mary)after he bumps into her at a a charity event he has to attend Lincoln has to keep up appearances, he runs a multi million dollar company and finds out there are problems caused by a rivall.Jane has gotten herself in a bit of a situation and doesn't know how to get out of it . How will these two meet in the middle and sort out the mess that has become their life? You just have to read this book to find out.
