If you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will come to the Jewish people from another place, but you and your father’s family will be destroyed. Who knows, perhaps you have come to your royal position for such a time as this.
—Esther 4:14

In the face of certain destruction, an orphaned Jewish girl in a new position of power risked everything to save her people. This historical book is a true tale of a proud king, a queen, an assassination plot, and the fate of the Jewish people. But the themes run much deeper. Although the book never mentions God by name, His presence and providence are evident at every turn. Join us as we spend two weeks reading the book of Esther, discovering how God uses unlikely people in uncertain times to accomplish His purposes.

She Reads Truth is a worldwide community of women who read God's Word together every day. Founded in 2012, She Reads Truth invites women of all ages to engage Scripture through curated daily reading plans, as well as online conversation led by a vibrant community of contributing writers. This community of “Women in the Word of God every day” represents a long list of cities and countries, a variety of backgrounds and traditions, and countless real-life stories. But there is a commonality that binds us: we believe God's Word is Truth. So we read. Every day we read a new passage together—working our way through books of the Bible, topics that matter, and seasons of the Church calendar. We engage with God's Word and with each other. And we keep coming back, on the hard days and the good days, because God and His Word never change, regardless of our circumstances.

This was a timely study for me. It was good to look throughout my life and see all the ways and times that the hand of God so clearly intervened, and it gave me hope that He is continuing to work in ways that one day I will be able to see with clarity.

Loved this Bible Study! The shorter daily readings made staying on schedule easy.
I've never studied the book of Esther before but now I really want to learn more. It's amazing to see God work behind the scenes the benefit of his people. This book never outright mentions God, but you can see his hand and will throughout all the events that lead to saving this people from annihilation.

Esther’s story is unmatched!!! This study is more like a storybook and is easy to follow. The name of God never appears in the book of Esther, yet God reveals himself despite the mention of his name. He can work through anyone and anything to redeem you and help those around you. Such a powerful story, such a powerful and brave woman!!

A good study. We all think we know the story of Esther but, when read slowly and with thought, the morals and attitudes of the time are quite shocking and so it was a good thing that this study looked deeper than that.

Insightful and interesting.

It was nice to go back to a loved and familiar part of the Bible and see and remember that God is always working, even when I don’t see Him.

I loved going through this study. Reading Esther chapter by chapter we see how God’s invisible hand is at work. It made me want to examine how the Lord has been at work in my own life.

Esther has always been a favorite, but I loved how this study pointed out all the parallels.
